Can you highlight in a Safari PDF?

In the Safari web browser, is it possible to highlight and annotate a PDF as you can do in the desktop version? The options are there to do so but they are greyed out. Any assistance would be appreciated.

Not likely...you will probably do better selling the iPod on something like eBay or Craigslist, take the money and add what you need to by the iPad.
Apple stores do not normally do trades for equipment.

  • Can you highlight or change font in notes?

Can you highlight or change font in notes?

Settings>Notes>Font. You can choose one of three fonts for Notes but you cannot use more than one font at a time. When you change the font - it will change all of the text that you type to that font.
You cannot highlight text in Notes.

can you export a high res pdf of your site through Muse?

I don't know a way to do it through Muse, but if you have Acrobat you can export your Muse as HTML to your local disk then have Acrobat make a PDF out of it.

  • In Safari can you highlight the URL in the address field with one click?

In Firefox you can highlight the URL bar by clicking on it anywhere. Can this be done in Safari?

    Hi J MacD,
Clicking three, yes 3, times is necessary in Safari, or once on the favicon to highlight the URL.
    Have fun,

  • Is there a way to control Adobe PDF plugin from within a Web Application? For Example, Can we highlight text in the PDF/A document programatically?

    Hi,
I am trying to open a PDF document in browser using Adobe PDF plug-in for IE 9. The plugin version is 10.x
I need to highlight certain text in the PDF document ( which is searchable) programmatically. For example, when a user selects certain text on the web-page, we want to automatically highlight that in the PDF document.

I don't think this is a question one can answer by simply downloading the SDK. And even if one reads all the documentation (it rarely happens for obvious reasons), it is not easy to reach an answer because its explanation is not trivial at all.
In my own opinion, this is right the type of question to be put and (hopefully) answered in a Forum.
Now, I am not sure about the correct answer but I will give one hint.
If I am not wrong, the Internet Explorer, IE, PDF viewer by Adobe is actually a .dll file which is put under IE once Adobe Reader is installed. A custom plug-in for Reader or Acrobat is also a .dll file (Windows) but its extension is .api and it needs to be copied under Reader or Acrobat (or both). Therefore, I don't see how we can merge the IE viewer .dll with a custom plug-in .api. Though maybe technically possible, I don't think it is something we can do.
If above reasoning is correct, the answer to the question is No.

  • To edit a pdf, can you do it right in pdf form or must you export the document to word first?

I have been trying to edit a PDF, I have been using the export PDF.  This does not have great compatibility so I might as well just create a whole new document.  If I upgrade to the premium, can I edit right from the pdf form?

    Hi Satya,
Thank you for the immediate response.
Now I can import the pdf files and edit them.
    However there is a problem.
I can only open the pdf files which I created by the developer studio.
When I open the pdf files those created by a scanner, they appear blank. However, when I open the same files with acrobat reader, the contects in the file appear.
I will be very thankful if you could help me in this.
    Many thanks

  • HT1677 Where can you set default in Safari to view as web page instead of Mobile Version?

Where can you set the default setting in Safari to open page as web page instead of Mobile Version on iPad running iOS6.01?

And, to make it even more fun, sometimes a website changes how it deals with Safari Mobile. A website that treated it like a desktop browser suddenly starts treating it like a cell phone. Just to mess with you. Or push an app.
    Best of luck.

  • How can you copy information from Safari into Pages

Is there a way to easily copy data, such as financial tables from Safari into Pages and maintain the integrity of the table and the data within it?  When I copy and paste it comes out all misaligned and into multiple pages.  The same thing happens if I try to highlight the table in Safari and drag it into Pages.  Is there not a "paste special" function in Pages like there is in Microsoft??

    See:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5775
You can then drag the resulting image into a Pages document, and position.

  • How can you create a multi-page pdf document in photoshop elements 13?

I previously had pse 11 and was able to create multi-page documents as pse files. However, pse 13 does not allow. How can I create multi-page pdf files from pse 13?

Alas, for one of those mysterious adobe reasons, it's gone in recent versions. Only multipage file you can make is a photobook.

  • How can you images replacable in a PDF?

I want to be able to create high quality and professional looking PDF's and for the client to be able to change text and images. The text is no problem, creating editable forms is easy and not hard to achieve. But I want to swap images easily.
I want to create a PDF that has default images that can be clicked on. Once you click on them you can browse for your new image and upload to the PDF and save a new document. See attached video for this person has achieved it!
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cxCpz8lm-I4
He is performing the image swapping in Adobe Reader. Any thoughts on how to achieve this?
    Thanks!!!

It is most likely an XFA form created in LiveCycle Designer. It allows you to create image fields that support JPEG, PNG, TIFF, and GIF formats. Reader 11 allows the buttonImportIcon method to import images as button icons. but the images have to first be converted to PDF.

  • Can you type text on a PDF after exporting from ID? "Fill out a form"

If i design a simple form in ID can I export an editable PDF to email and others can type and print it?

BUT, Acrobat 9 is really good at recognizing what should be a form field in a well constructed ID document that you export, so it should be fairly painless.

  • Can you extract 'keywords' from a pdf document?

Is there a way of extracting intelligent 'keywords' from a pdf document in order to use for cataloguing.
If not, is there any sotware available compatible with Adobe PDF document that can extract 'keywords'  automatically?
    Any advice would be welcomed.
    Many Thanks

It might be possible, but will require creating a custom-made script,
plugin or stand-alone tool. You'll also need to better define based on what
    those keywords should be found.

  • Can you set prefs in a PDF: fit to printable area

Setup: Creating sell sheets that can be downloaded from the web by all sorts of folks. Because we cannot count on all end users to choose "fit to printable area" in their print dialog, we would like to preset it in the PDF...
Question: Can we set the prefs in the PDFs so that when the customer goes to print the PDF, it always will "fit to printable area." Any ideas?
    Using Acrobat Pro 8.1.2
    thank you!

    You cannot.
