Can you import raw photos via a camera or card to the ipod?

I am considering buying an ipod classic, becuase I need to be able to store photos whilst on holiday to a large storage device.  I suspect that I might not be able to view the files on an ipod, but I was hoping that I might at least be able to transfer them via a camera connector or some sort of card reader.  I think you can do this via the ipad, but there just isnt enough storage space, and I dont want to take around something that large.

You used to be able to with the iPod Camera Connection kit, but unfortunately it does not work with any model iPod released after September 2007 including the 160 GB iPod Classic.  I have not seen any other alternatives that would work.

Can you edit raw photos in photo shop 11?

    Hi,
Are you talking about photoshop elements 11 or photoshop cs4?
You can edit camera raw files with both of the above, but it might depend on the camera the raw files came from.
What operating system are you using?
Which camera are the raw files from?

Can you layer a photo on top of a video in the iMovie app on an iPhone or an iPad?

Not without a third party app. You can search the app store for apps that let you caption and write on photos but there is no native functionality for this in iOS.

  • Can you import movie videos from SD camera card

Can you import movie videos (MP4) into an Ipad from an SD camera card on a Lightning cable ... or can you only do this from a laptop via Itunes? In other words, is Itunes the only way to get non-Itune videos to the Ipad? Hope I havent made this sound confusing.

To import the videos must follow a very strict naming convention.
All file names must have 8 characters for a name and be located in a folder named DCIM
    for example
    DCIM
    MOV_5789.mp4
You can't watch the videos off the cart, they must be imported into the iPad. They'll go into the camera roll, when you tap on them it'll open the video app and you can watch from there.

  • Can't import RAW Files via usb

I bought a canon eos 5D a couple of days ago. I don't know why but I can't import the raw files from the usb connection. When I press the eos 5D button from the import dialogue, the lightroom says "no files were found to import". Everything works perfect with an external reader but I do want to import them via usb. I don't want to be removing the card too often.
Can anybody help me or guide me to a possible solution?. Zoombrowser works fine and imports without problem. I love lightroom and don't understand why I can't import via usb. It's strange but it doesn't happen with jpg files. With those, I got no problem.
    thanks in advance

  • Can we import RAW photos into iphoto?

My brother-in-law has many photos from past reunions that are in RAW format. Can we import these into iphoto and have it work? I really want the photos but he thinks it won't work.
What are the steps? He says the file sizes are very large

    That's not enough.
The Raw format of each camera model - not make, model - is different. So the Raw of the Nikon D40 is not the same as the Raw from a D60, which is different from the D80 and so on.
But hey, have you tried plugging it in and seeing if it will import?
    Regards
    TD

    So via imessage?
Do you have MMS enabled and are you provisioned by your phone carrier to use MMS?
iOS: Troubleshooting Messages - Apple Support
If you're provisioned, then close out of the message app, double tap the home button and completely close out of the app.
Then do a reset, no data loss, hold down the home/sleep button together until you see the apple logo and then release, then wait for the phone to boot back up.  then check if you can send photos via message.

  • Can't import raw photo files to iPhoto from my new Canon S90

Just bought a new Canon point & shoot, the S90. It allows you to shoot raw, which I did. When I went to upload the image files to iPhoto, I got an error message -- files could not be imported; they may be an unrecognized file type.
I've uploaded raw files from my Canon 40D SLR to iPhoto successfully.
Why the error message with raw files from a new point/shoot?
    Greg

RAW support is specific to each camera and until Canon gives Apple the specs and Apple sees enough demand to move that new RAW above the others
See this Aperture thread for a long discussion including several hopeful long term solutions to teh entire issue of each RW being different - http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2267766&tstart=0

PS - it took about 10 seconds to fond a google thread indicating that Apple does not yet support the S90

  • How can I import selected photos from iPhoto into Premiere Elements on the Mac?

I run Premiere Elements on a Mac (Lion O/S). I have more than 13,000 photos in iPhoto that I would like to be able to access from Premiere (to include shots relevant to the video I am compiling).  How do I do this?
I also have Photoshop Elements but not yet installed it since I do not want to replicate all these photos - will consume too much hard drive space.
I look forward to your advice.
    Thanks

The way I do this on my iMac : I select the required photos in iPhoto, then I export them on a specific folder I create for the video,
generally a subpart of the area where I have captured my HDV footage with Premiere Elelements.
Then, I import these specific pictures in my Premiere Elements project.
For Photoshop Elements, it has 2 parts : the organizer of your library, which requires to create a copy of your photos, and the modifier
which you can use as a complement to iPhoto only to modify your pictures with  possibilities given by Photoshop.
As I have enough space on external hard drive, I use Photoshop and iPhoto to have permanently a back-up copy of my pictures.
It was my choice related to my configuration.
    Bonne chance.

  • Can you import a player package? I do not have the .odarc file...

    Hey there,
My hard drive crashed with my backup odarc file that I did not move to my backup! I do have the latest player package file. This was created in 3.6.1. Is there a way to rebuild the library from a player package? Please say yes...

I had a similar thing happen years ago, and luckily Oracle was able to help me out. I'd try logging a support ticket in My Oracle Support.
Good luck, and learn to back up regularly!!!

  • Can't import Raw to Aperture

I have a Macbook pro with Mac OS X 10.7.5, with aperture 3.4.4 and can not import RAW photos from my Canon G16 camera.

The RAW support for Canon G16 is part of the Digital Camera RAW Compatibility 5.01
This bundle requires Mac OS X 10.8.5 or later or Mac OS X 10.9 or later to be installed. You will have to upgrade to Mavericks, if you want to use the RAW support for your camera.

Can you change RAW photos to DGN with CS5?
    Is there a download?

You can download it here: http://www.adobe.com/products/photoshop/extend.displayTab2.html#downloads
As an alternative, you can save the raw file as a DNG in Camera Raw, if your camera is supported.

  • Imported RAW Photos too bright (overexposed, washed out)

I've noticed with my Sony A700 camera that when I import RAW photos into aperture they look alright in the jpeg preview but once they are processed as raw they become extremely washed out and bright, does anyone know how to fix this?

I have noticed the same issue with my A700 cRAW images. I just got Aperture 3.0.2. I guess I will play around with the raw fine-tune brick to strike a balance with properly exposed image quality, but it's uncomfortable when your preview image and histogram appear good, and your imported image is washed out.
Anyone have a better preset for the A700 camera?
