Can you make changes to the regisirty om OS 10.2.8
I need to get into the registry on my wife's iBook to get her scores from the word game Bookworm and transfer them to her new iBook. Is there such a way with Macs?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There is no registry in OS X. Application data files may be found in the application package itself, in /Home/Library/Application Support/, in /Home/Documents/, or in /Home/Library/Preferences/. In order to completely transfer all files needed you will have to locate all the relevant files or folders associated with the application in any or all of the above locations and transfer them to the appropriate locations on the new computer.

Long answer:
iTunes in the Cloud is a feature of your iTunes store account that allows you to redownload or stream your past purchases. When you delete a purchased track that is downloaded to your computer (like the first one shown here) you are asked if you also want to hide the song from iCloud. This would remove it from the computer and also stop it showing up with the iCloud symbol as the other tracks from that album (which are not downloaded) do.
If a track shows with the cloud symbol you can play (stream) it by double-clicking the title, or click the cloud symbol to download a local copy to your library. If you try to delete one of these tracks you get a slightly different message confirming that you want to hide the track. Clicking hide will remove the listing from the library and any other device that shows your past purchases.
Should you want to retrieve any item hidden in this way at a later date use Store > View My Account > iTunes in the Cloud > Hidden Purchases > Manage.
To hide all your previous purchases that are not downloaded to your computer use Edit > Preferences > Store and untick Show iTunes in the Cloud purchases.

What version of Acrobat and you using, and are you on Mac OS or Windows?
What do you see in the Print dialog box? If you select Size under Page Size & Handling, the PDF should print at the same size as the page size in Acrobat (if your printer supports that page size).
You can also click Printer at the bottom of the Print dialog box to override Acrobat's print settings, and use the settings specific to your printer driver.

What else can you manually change in the Manifest XML?
I am developing native Java apps as well as Adobe AIR for Android apps.
I know you can manually change the AndroidManifest.xml file (even if you're using the Flash CS5 Adobe AIR for Android plug-in) to do some different things.
What have you guys had success doing? I've only figured out how to enable moving the apps to the SD card (location "auto").
Anyone else?

Make sure you set the location to auto manually within the XML file, then don't touch the publish settings within the .FLA
file. Next time you publish, you should be able to manually move it to SD card. I can show you the settings if you want it to default to SD card as well.
If it's not working for you, please let me know your process and maybe I can troubleshoot it.

I also develop native apps in Eclipse and there's tons more I can do there, but so far, I haven't been able to get any of those changes to work in Adobe AIR for Android.

Mymsn has areas that allow you to list your stocks and also an area that allows you to see what emails you have waiting to be read. Both of these areas went away when I upgraded to Firefox 4 last week. When clicking on the menu area to make changes, nothing happens. How do I get back the information that was in these areas? Also the customize button does not work.
Do you have Adblock Plus installed? If you do, disable on the page where you normally see your stock info. I've uploaded an image of what happens on another site where ABP is enabled. The Global News image disappears with ABP enabled even though it's not an ad.
If that doesn't work, try running Firefox in [[Safe Mode]]. If it works correctly in that configuration, then one of your add-ons is the culprit. -
I have build an App with more than 5 Tabs, the user can change the order of the items, but this is not persitent.

Yes. In addition to what Bee Jay said, here are some other tips.
First record a pattern that's a few bars long, and don't tweak any knobs while you're doing this. Set a Cycle Range, because we want to play this pattern over and over again. Press A to make Automation visible (although there isn't any yet).
Find the channel strip for this track, either in the Inspector or in the Mixer window. Just above the meter, look for the button that says "Off." Hold down this button and a menu will appear. Select "Touch." Press Play. As the pattern plays the first time, pick a knob in the ABL2 window, and mess with that knob. At the end of the pattern, let go of the knob, and then watch what the knob does as the pattern plays again. Then as the pattern plays some more, mess with another knob. You'll notice that curves are being drawn in the Arrange window as you mess with the knobs.
This should help get you started. -
Can you make favourites in the iTunes store?
The most annoying thing about the iTunes store is that you can only look at one thing at once! So if you are thinking about buying something, you cannot look at anything else while it is on the screen, so looking at other things, it means you forget about it and don't buy it. Annoying! This means that I buy barely anything of decent size.
I should like to know if iTunes has solved this problem or when it is going to?
Thanks a lot!Just create a normal playlist and drag the items you want to remember into it from the iTunes Store. That will save them for future purchase. I believe that this won't work for applications, but should work for everything else.

How can I make changes in the informations permanent?
Hi all,
I spent hours updating my songs with accurate informations only to find out as soon iTunes plays them they will be reset to the initial informations and the whole work was for naught.
Please advice.I'm having a similar issue; however it appears to only affect midi files. I can rename them in itunes or finder (either directly or with the information window); the results are the same: The data (name, artist genre etc.) appears to be ok until the file is played.
I am using iTunes 7.6.1 on the mac.

I just bought a used Macbook Pro. How do I make the changes to make it personal. Example the iTunes comes up as the old user and I have to have his password to make changes on the laptop. Can you make any suggestions?
Also I cant make a right click on the pad. Is that normal?Your first going to have to remove all your personal data off the machine to a external storage drive, do not use TimeMachine when it asks as this will copy the entire drive and is unnecessary at this time (also takes too long).
You need to drag and drop copy your personal data folders (Music, Pictures, Movies etc) to a external storage drive, once done, unmount and disconnect this drive.

Next your going to follow the Zero Erase and install method for your OS X version, either 10.6 or 10.7, here
How to reinstall just OS X or erase/install OS X
10.7 requires your AppleID and password to install, so make sure to have that ready.
Once you reboot your into the real setup of OS X, which will require your name etc, so it's now your machine.
Install your programs, iLife package is only free for the owner of the machine.
If you have the 10.6 machine specific disks, then it's on there.
If your using 10.7, then you'll have to purchase it from the App Store.
Last, return your files from the storage drive, consider setting up a TimeMachine or clone on the external drive. -

iWeb uses the domain.sites2 files to store its assets.
You'll find it here :

where ~ is your Home directory.
If you take a computer with you, you have to store that file in the same location.
It's not different from taking documents with you if you want to edit them.
A solution is to remotely control your computer at home.
TeamViewer, LogMeIn, Apple Remote Desktop or any VNC application you can use, like "Chicken of the VNC". -
I have changed the email signature on my iPhone, when composing a new email the signature is there, however when I am replying to an email it is not, how can I make sure that the signature is at the end of every email I send?
Yes I know what you mean about it cluttering the thread and for personal emails it is better without the signature. However this relates to sending business emails from an iPhone so I need the signature present on every email.
I can't find anything in Settings so I was hoping someone may have some knowledge/information/experience regarding this problem. -
I have one folder on an XSAN that one machine can not make changes to. Whenever I try to duplicate or copy a file in this folder I get 'The operation can’t be completed because an unexpected error occurred (error code -50).'
The permissions are fine, and I have trashed the finder plist and reset the NVRAM.

- make sure you have at least 10% of your harddisk in free space (I had only 5%).
- do a PRAM-reset (http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1379)
- perform a hardware test (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1509)
- make a complete backup (with for example Carbone Clone Copier, see http://www.bombich.com/)
- after complete backup: use diskwarrior (boot from Diskwarrior DVD, first perform diagnostics, then perform "Rebuild" which rebuilds your file directory).
So far I only cleared up some space on my HD, and already the problem occurs less.
Still, I will go through the other tips too.

Put my macbook pro to sleep. When I opened it, the desktop window is small and I can't resize it. All applications now run in the smaller size window. Can't make it fill the screen. Just switched from windows. Thank you.

You dont have to put everything onto your webserver first. You can start with DW locally (with all files stored on your computer) before uploading a completed site to your server.
