Can you mitigate noise coming from a cRIO?

Hi, we are using an 9012 cRIO controller and a 9112 chassis with a 9477 module.  We have encountered some noise coming from the cRIO and are wondering how to mitigate it.  Any suggestions??  John  JSC/NASA

Where are you seeing the noise? Are you reading a sensor?
There are many things that can cause noise: ground looping, not using shielded wires. Running signal wires next to AC. radio frequency noise the list goes on forever.

    My macbook pro is probably only 2 months old and there is a buzzing/grinding noise coming from the left side of the laptop every time I open it.  It may buzz 5 times in a span of 30 seconds then not make the noise the remaining time that it is open.  I have read that it may have to do with my fan or HD.  I am under apple care for a good amount of time but am wondering if this is a mjor issue.  I would not be able to get to an apple care center in the near future due to being at school.  Should I be worried or will it last by the time I am home in 2 months.

    Sounds like the disk in your MBP is accessing data on wake up
    If you are still concerned you can take it into the Apple Store where they can hear it to be sure

    It would be helpful if you were to identify the model of MBP you have.
    The noise makers on a MBP are the fan(s), the HDD and the optical drive.  Can you locate the exact position where the noise is coming from?

  • I have a strange noise coming from within my 2011 iMac Desktop.

    I have a strange noise coming from within my 2011 iMac Desktop. This started 1 week ago and is intermittent. It sounds like an electronic drill. I have removed all external connections and powered up the Mac and just left  it running. Some 2 hours later the noise started. On hitting the space bar on the keyboard the noise stopped. I did a similar test and the noise started within 2 minutes so I have discounted any overheating issues.
    With keyboard activity there is an increase in the frequency of this fault.
    If you open safari when the fault reappears the URL web link text starts flashing at the same frequency as the noise. This fault can appear with or without the noise.
    I’ve been typing these details out on Word and as soon as I went to save  the document the noise started  and as soon as I hit the OK option in the save window the noise ceased.
    Any thoughts will be appreciated.

    I think this issue might be related to my wireless Keyboard. have just noticed that certain combinations of keys do not work. The Right hand shift + ? didn't work but started this noise. Hit another key and the noise stopped Also I have problems using the right hand shift key with the letters  Y, H & N , they don't work and are all in line.
    So I'm taking the keyboard back to John Lewis. it will be easier to carry that the screen !!

  • Noise coming from the bottom of my mac?

    There's a noise coming from the base of my early 2013 Mac Book Pro Retina.  When I'm resting it on my lap or pick it up it sounds like a spring sound and occasionally I can here it when I'm typing and push down a little hard on the t, y and u keys.  Do you think it would be possible to take this in to an Apple store and get it replaced or changed?  Not effecting performance but expect better for paying upwards of £2000.  Still within the 1 year warranty.  Thanks.

    Aside from the fan, there should be no noises emanating from a retina MBP.  Your MBP comes with a warranty.  By all means take advantage of it and make an appointment at an Apple store genius bar.
    Ciao.

  • What is the fluttering noise coming from my desktop?

    what is the fluttering noise coming from my desktop?

    Probably a fan.  Could be hard drive noise, a CD or DVD that has a label on it.
    Can you describe the sound more fully, what it sounds like, when and how often it occurs?

  • Screeching noise coming from headphones!!!

    Ok, so there's a horrible screeching noise coming from my headphones! When the volume is low, no sound comes out at all. But when I turn it up, it's this high pitched screeching with faint music in the back ground. I've tried changing the EQ, changing the maximum volume level in settings, and turning off then back on. I also just updated the software today. Help!! Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks:)

    Does this happen when using another set of headphones?  Have you tried a hard reset?
    How to reset iPod
    If nothing else, do a full restore in iTunes. This process wipes all content from the device, resets all settings back to their defaults, and loads a fresh copy of the iPod's software onto the device. So if the issue is software related, a restore should clear it up.

    Welcome to the HP Forums, I hope you enjoy your experience! To help you get the most out of the HP Forums I would like to direct your attention to the HP Forums Guide First Time Here? Learn How to Post and More.
    I have read your post on how there is an unusual noise coming from your computer, and I would be happy to assist you in this matter!
    Since the noise is coming from the back of the computer, I recommend following this document on Reducing Heat Inside the PC to Prevent Overheating. This should help prevent the fan in the back from overworking.
    Please re-post with the results of your troubleshooting, and I look forward to your reply!

  • Beeping noise coming from internal sound board

    there is a strange beeping noise coming from internal sound board. it doesnt matter if the volume is all the way down it still happens. the noise happens most ten times an hour and it is just one loud beep. took it to geek squad and they couldnt explain. so why is it making this noise?

    This beeping plagued me for months and months, driving me insane.  I tried to find a solution on the Internet; however, all I found were many people complaining about this random beeping noise from their HP laptops.  A couple of times the beeping stopped for a few days, but then it would come back.   But almost three months ago it stopped for good (I hope)!  I didn't do anything--it just stopped.  WEIRD.  But you might find this link helpful. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=svvZ70_H2wM&feature=email&email=comment_reply_received

    There are some noises coming from my MacAir2012 13inch's fan. What should i do to fix the problem?

    Why would you need to do anything at all?  The machine is under warranty, if there's something broken, that's what the warranty is for.

  • Scratchy noise coming from air

    It started just a couple days ago , when i heard a scratchy noise coming from the left corner. It stopped and now it just sounds like a fan is constantly going. Any ideas?

    sending an audio file would be a nice option on this forum :-)
    I suggest you stop using it to limit the damage and take it to the Apple Store for check up.
    Seem like a fan issue and we cannot do much about it here.

  • Can you get values back from a stored procedure via OUTPUT parameters?

    Can you get values back from calling a stored procedure via OUTPUT parameters/variables? I call the SP via a SQL statement from a script either in a WF or DF.
    I thought I read some reference that DI could not get the values from OUTPUT parameters but I could not find it again (don't know if it is in any of the documentation or referred to in a forum.
    I did try a couple of tests but it did not reutrn any values via OUTPUT. But before I give up I thought I'd see if you could and maybe I needed to change something.

    This isn't exactly an answer to your question, but I'll point out that, given that you're resorting to a SQL script in the first place, there's no reason you can't also turn the output parameters into a regular result or record set. (The following uses T-SQL, although I think it's pretty generic.)
    declare @param1 int, param2 varchar(100), @return int;
    exec @return = proc @param1 = @param1 output, @param2 = @param2 output;
    select @param1 as param1, @param2 as param2;
    That is, to get from output parameters to a "regular" output from the SQL script isn't much of a leap...

  • Can you transfer picture files from an older version of aperture to aperture 3?

    Can you transfer picture files from an older version of aperture to aperture 3?

    Well, you didn't give any information on your Mac, your OS version, transfer pics from where to where, or anything else, so guessing is the best anyone can do at this point: you should be able to simply using drag and drop.
