You can also use prepaid iTunes cards, if those are available in your country. PayPal is also an option if you're in the US.

You need to follow the instructions on this page when creating a new account : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2534 - otherwise you won't get the 'none' option and you will need to enter credit card details before you will be able to use the account in the store

Have a new computer and now cannot access itunes without knowing the answers to the security questions. Apple support cannot reset as we have never used a credit card when purchasing prior, have only used gift cards. Can provide apple id and password and all other account details but still no help. Have we to open a new3 account and start again, this means losing a lot of credit on the existing account?!
I have the same problem. I didn't set a rescue email for some reason. To find out weather you hav a rescue password: Go to appleid.apple.com, sign in, go to manage account and then password and security if you do there will be a link below telling you that you can send an email to it. If not the link won't be there. Hope this helps.

I utilize WIFI sync to sync all my information....however the photos don't sync wirelessly...is that because I have version iPhoto '09 8.1.2 ? if I upgraded can I wirelessly sync over wifi or can you only use Photo Stream to synch photos and you can't do it over wifi sync?

I have registered a credit card for purchasing apps from the app store. My bank has issued a new chip based card and now the 16 digit numbers have changed. How do I register the new card for flowless purchases?
Go to Apple Menu > App Store > View my account > sign in and then edit the payment details with the new card details.
I am assuming that your card and supporting bank are in the same country as your residential (billing) address and that you are using the App Store of that country. -

Please help me !I believe apple no longer accepts debit cards in some countries. Try a credit card instead. Go to settings/iTunes and App Store tap on the ID then then tap on view apple ID and log in then tap on account info and have a look at the billing options available to you

At the beginning, after receiving the preapproval, my LO asked for the credit card number I'd like to use to pay for the application fee. The application fee was the appraisal fee in my case and they didn't charge my card until the appraisal was ordered. I don't see any other chances to use a credit card to pay for anything else. Only the accounts that is listed as your assets can be used to pay for downpayment and closing costs. -
Why can't I use my credit card in OVI store?
After buying several apps in the Ovi Store using my credit card I was really surprised that Ovi Store does no longer accept my credit card because I'm not living in the US! (I'm requested to fill in a US address otherwise I cannot proceed.)

As far as OP was concerned trying at another time with SIM in place worked "Maybe the payment failed yesterday because I had removed my SIM card... Although I cannot see a connection."
