Can you open excite mail in Safari any longer?
I have been using excite mail for many years with no problem. In the last few days, it has been no longer possible to open excite mail in Safari on my macbook pro. Any ideas of how to overcome this? From what I've read so far, Excite Mail has upgraded in some way, and lots of people are having the same problem, but they are on PCs, not a mac, so I haven't found any solution yet. PLEASE ADVISE!!!

Huh? Anytime I hit Reply to an excite email, the original message is turned into a garbled mess of html tags. That's been a problem for ohh...6 years or so.
Now I can't access excite mail either. excite email has always sucked. Now it doesn't work at all.

Open Safari, and then under the File menu you can open a new window (or press command+n to do the same thing - the command key is the one with the Apple symbol on it).

How can you open Marine online in safari
I try to open MOL in Safari and it won't let me. I know when I use internet explorer to do it, it tells me the certificate is out of date and warns me. But, I click yes and it opens the site. Safari will not open it. How can I bypass the certificate warning to get to the site? I do not need a CAC card to get on this site, It just needs a username and password. Thanks

The first website didn't work but the second one allowed me to get to the sign in page. I haven't logged in as it's my hubby's account. Hope this helps =) -

Try downloading another app - any free app - that seems to reset something and the apps may start working again. Try that first. If that doesnt work, try these steps
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
Close all apps. Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Quit/close open apps by double tapping the home button and the task bar will appear with all of you recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner to close the apps. Restart the iPad. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button. -
Why can't I open yahoo mail with safari?
As of July 29 I can no longer open Yahoo mail in Safari. It keeps asking for user name and password, but when I enter it the same screen keeps coming up.
Clear Safari, then close it completely and reset the iPad.
Go to Settings>Safari>Clear Cookies and Data.
Now close Safari. In order to close apps in iOS 7, you have to drag the app up from the multitasking display. Double tap the home button and you will see apps lined up going left to right across the screen. Swipe to get to the app that you want to close and then swipe "up" on the app preview thumbnail to close it.

If we have the original ipad, how can you open a pdf in ibooks? The menu bar does not pop up like it does on the ipad2. Any suggestions?
Are you in Safari and you want to copy them to iBooks, or you in a different app ? Assuming that you are using Safari, then if I open a PDF on my first gen iPad in Safari and tap on it, I then get a pop-up bar at the top of it with the 'Open In' options.

I already tried rebooting, and I tried hooking it up to itunes as well, no luck there either.Try to reset all settings.
Settings > General > Reset > Reset all Settings. It won't delete your data.
When you say reboot, do you mean you pressed the home and sleep button at the same time until it restarted? -

iPad mini will not let me access mail after latest software update, 6.1.2, seems to want me to sign in, but whenever I type my Id ad password it just says that the mail account already exists.. Still can't open my mail!

I have just agreed to software updates on my imac and now can't open my mail. There is a message saying this version of mail isn't compatible with this latest software. I have located the updated mail in the applications folder but it won't open. I don't have the original operating software disk. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Your reply suggests that you have moved Mail to a different location, which (as I said) will prevent it from being properly updated. You cannot use Mail 4.5 with any recent version of Mac OS X. Mac OS X 10.7 (Lion) included Mail 5 and Mac OS X 10.8 (Mountain Lion) includes Mail 6. I'm assuming that you have either Lion or Mountain Lion, but if that is incorrect, you will need to provide that information.
At this point, you will need to reinstall your system. Hold down command-R at startup and reinstall the system right on top of the old one. This should not disturb any of your documents or applications, though you should have backups beforehand in case something goes wrong. And at this point, with your system in an uncertain state (I don't entirely know what you have done to it), something could go wrong.
You will also want to delete the old copy of Mail 4.5, wherever that is. You can't use it.
In the future, do not move any of the preinstalled applications. Leave them where they are. -

From the folder that opens, remove any items that have the letters “PDF” in the name. You may be prompted for your login password. Then launch Safari and test.
If you still have the issue, repeat with this line:
~/Library/Internet Plug-ins
If you don’t like the results of this procedure, restore the items from the backup you made before you started. Relaunch Safari again. -

Have you tried closing the Mail app completely and then re-opening it ? From the home screen double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Mail app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
If that doesn't work then you could try a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot. -

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:

The title of the Console window should be All Messages. If it isn't, select
