I have purchased the nokia 500 and am very happy with it! I'm wondering if one can acquire and display the maps with imagery background... see fields from forest or buildings may assist further in locating!

Hi, It is strange! I have the same problem, or quite similar. First, I could not in any way to disable(block), WiFi, still connected to my home network. Very nice, but I mean the saving of the battery and primarily aimed at controlling the WiFi connection. Even when you delete the software (Gmail, etc.) you can see it WiFi icon, which means that the system is armed and searches WiFi ...
1. Where is the turn off WiFi on the Nokia 500?
2. How do I set that in general the receiver turned off WiFi and did notconsume energy?

You can change the music player background image but you need to make a theme. You can do it on a website just do a search as i'm not aloud to put a link on here to the site, as there are some adult themes there that peeps have made, and fair does this site has kids coming on it to. But it can be done m8 as mine is changed but you carnt do it from in the phone buy just changing the image.

I have created a site using Dreamweaver 8 as I usually would.
The client claims she cannot see the page background on the main
page of the site.
Could someone please tell me...can you see a background image
(paperbutterfly in different languages) on the main page I have
linked?

I have two PDF documents that I want to overlay page by page. (It's a long story, but the purpose is to create an PDF cast. Livescribe Education :: Guest Blog: How To Embed Text Behind a Livescribe Pencast PDF)
The known method to do this is basically overlaying a JPEG file on a PDF page. The process becomes extremely cumbersome if there are more than 2 pages of PDF. So I'm looking for a way to overlay one PDF file on top of another PDF file in the form of watermark.
Is there a plug-in or app that can facilitate this?

Open the first PDF with Acrobat Pro.
Now use the tool that lets you insert a background.
Select the second PDF.
Adjust the scale of this PDF (in the dialog) as needed.
When done consider flattening the layer.

Can you change the background image in IP Communicator

Can you load an image file from you local workstation as the background in IP communicator?

The first image worked great, but...
I made and applied all the correct directories, images, and files needed for the custom background.
I tested it on IP communicator and it worked great, with the image showing up as selection 2.
Then I added another image selection; meaning I added the formatted image files and edited .xml file.
Restarted IP Communicator and it still only shows the 1st custom image I created.
I have checked and rechecked the .xml file along with the formatting of the images and still only 1 custom image is there.
Ideas -
Maybe there is a ?reload? command that I need to use on the phone itself?
Is there any difference if the image is loaded on a Subscriber or Publisher
- Currently I have it loaded on a subscrber that I also have confirmed that is set as the TFTP server for the IP Communicator.

Can you "bleed" a background image through a DW template?

I'm in the process of redesigning a simple site and am fairly new to working with DW. I created a template with navigation along the left side and a content box on the right. The client requests a background image (which I set in the CSS body tag). However, once I set the content portion of the template it sits on top of the background image (effectively blocking out portions of the background image). I need it to "bleed" through so that the background image covers the entire screen content.

Can anyone suggest how to get the image to show through the content portion of the template?

It took me a few "tries" to place the code in the right place (and a few
different iterations of the example given on the site) but the opacity tag
does work as suggested. Setting the opacity to 100% allows the entire
background to bleed through as I needed.
I had to completely remove the suggested CSS tags for IE7 and IE8 however
and go with just the opacity tag. Tested this in IE8 and Firefox and both
display the opacity correctly with the single opacity statement:
.opaque
The class was added to the table statement in my template (the table that
contains the content area for every web page) and works beautifully. Thank

Can you make the background fade in?

I know you can do slide transition> Fade In, but that includes all objects. I can select individual objects and make them fade in as well.
Is there a way to make the background fade ONLY.

The background IS transparent, or, to look at another way, there is no background unless you create one. If you go to View>Show Transparency Grid, it's easier to see a what has a white fill or stroke and what does not.

Is there a way to lock the image orientation? When I turn the iPad, I want the apps to rotate, but I want the background image to stay portrait.

Can you specify the background color when resizing the canvas?

I haven't found this in the Scripting Reference.
In the "Canvas Size…" dialog box you can specify the "Canvas Extension Color" to "Foreground", Background", "White", "Black", "Grey" or "Other…".
Can this be scripted?
I am writing an AppleScript to resize my canvas in order to add a slug to the bottom of the image. Currently my script stores the background color, so I can change it to White to accomplish my goal without discarding the background color (which gets restores at the end of the script). The problem is that if the user has a custom color (i.e. Pantone color) as the background color, the color does not get stored.

See if this works for you… Just some very basic AppleScript with a call to 'do javascript' in this case the variable 'Solid_Fill' this is a cleaned up piece of scriptlistener output (done very nicely by X's tools you will see a post below to the latest release of this) The scriptlistener output has been turned into a function that javascript can call. Inside of the function call I have put a list arguments passed from AppleScript. So the values 0, 0, 0, 0 in the AppleScript list end up as arguments passed to the functions C, M, Y, K variables. Can you overlay pages in Adobe X Pro?

I want to know if you can combine several pages into a single page.
I have a stamps.com subscription that allows me to print stamps on either their expensive label stock, or on standard Avery labels. However, the Avery labels only lets you print one at a time by position instead of the entire sheet. Running the sheet through the printer that many times (15 times - 30 labels per page) creates a very ugly result.
I was wondering if I could print the stamps to about 15 separate pdfs, and then somehow combine them into a single page so that I can run the sheet through the printer once.

You can try adding each individual PDF as a layer (View > SHow/Hide > Navigation Panes > Layers) to a page. This might not work if each page has an opaque background though.

Can You "Overlay" only on Video Track 1?

When I target Video Track 2, (and not target Video Track 1),
I can't seem to Overlay.
The Current Time Indicator jumps forward,
as if I had overlaid the clip, but no clip lands on the track.
Does this make sense?

This is a super old post but I just saw it in relation to a function of premiere I'm trying to figure out. If somehow in the last 4 years nobody has been able to answer this for you it is because your Source Video is still on Video 1. Source Video is marked as a 'V' on the far left of your Timeline panel. For you to Overlay onto Video 2 you need to move the Source Video so that it is next to Sequence Video 1 and then do the overlay. Also, any video on other tracks that are enabled will be deleted wherever the Overlay occurs.
I'm trying to figure out how to move which Sequence Video Track (i.e. Video 1, Video 2, etc) that Source Video is assigned to with a keyboard shortcut so I con't have to use my mouse to drag it up and down.

In any basic window, would you be able to color the background, like, a random multicolor? Let me explain...
Say I have a window that was generated with Java. Typically, this window would have a white background. Instead of that, I'd like the background to be a continuously changing random bunch of colors, pixel by pixel. So, it would be just a giant mess of crazy colors.
Is there a way to do this? I searched online, but didn't find anything.
This isn't really important to me, just something I thought would be fun to do.

How can you make a background image change to a faded state at a certain point in scroll?

I'm referring to a technique I've seen used in Relevant Magazine's iPad app if anyone has used it. I understand having a shape behind text that has a feathered gradient and when you scroll the text the shape gradually fades out the background image. But this is not the effect I'm trying to acheive. On some of the articles in Relevant, the screen is a full image and as you scroll the type up, the entire background dims when you scroll to a certain spot.
I've tried searching for hours, but I feel like I'm getting no where because I don't really know what to search for. I feel like it requires use of something other than what DPS is capable of. Hopefully this makes sense and I'd greatly appreciate any suggestions and help!

Try applying the feathered gradient to the scrollable content frame, not the background frame. It will appear to change the color of the background frame.
