    For service stock you can't tell the difference between a new iPad and a refurbished one. Both will come in a plain brown box with the same pattern in model numbers. If you mean between a refurbished one and one new at retail, then other than the obvious difference in packaging, I've read that the model number on refurbished units starts with the letter "F", though I've not confirmed that.

  • Can anyone tell the difference between USB 3.0 and 2.0?

    I have both a 8GB flashdrive 3.0 and 2.0. I got the 3.0 at office depot for $8.00 and 2.0 for the same price at best buy. I honestly can't tell the difference between the two. They both seem to be the same in speed. Is there really a difference?

    This is an interesting subject, I just recalled a MacWorld podcast I was listening to when the 3.0s were first hitting the market. A guest on the podcast was saying to think of it like a 'bottle neck' not so much as speed. With the 3.0 you can push more information through at any one time. So in the case of the hd movie senario, if you had multiple movies transfering at one time the 3.0 would be a lot faster than a 2.0.

  • How can I tell the difference between a 7320 CE and a 4630 CDM ?

    Hello, I have just taken delivery of what is supposed to be a 7320 Content Engine, however, there is a slight problem, th grill at the front states that it is
    a CDM4630!!!! A look at the rear shows the same slots/config as a 7320 and
    is labeled as a ce7320. A show version states that it is a ce7320-4.2.1.
    It looks like the wrong front panel has been applied but is there a sure fire
    way of confirming this?
    Thanks in advance,
    Darren

    From your comments, I guess that the device is a CE-7320 with a front panel mismatch. You could use the data sheets that you get with the product to verify the slots and since the show version indicates that it a CE-7320, I believe it should be one. The product overview is available at:

  • Is there a way to tell the difference between an attached file, and an image that is embedded in an email?

    When Outlook receives an email, it appears that attached files and embedded images are carried as Attachments.  In looking at emails and the individual attachments/embedded images with Outlook Spy, I do not see anything that would tell me which is
    which.  Obviously Outlook knows the difference ... is there something that I'm missing?mdpowers

    Hi Ken,
    In my code i have something like that:
    public static bool IsEmbeddedAttachment(Outlook.Attachment attachment)
    //Anexos que não são embedded são obrigatóriamente olByValue, porém os embedded podem ser de qualquer tipo
    if (attachment.Type != Outlook.OlAttachmentType.olByValue)
    return true;
    //Busca a propriedade contentID do anexo. Anexos embedded não precisam necessáriamente gerar um ContentID. Anexos fixos não geram ContentID
    string strATTACH_CONTENT_ID = attachment.PropertyAccessor.GetProperty(@"http://schemas.microsoft.com/mapi/proptag/0x3712001E").ToString();
    //Busca a propriedade contentLocation. Para que o anexo seja embedded é necessario que essa propriedade esteja vazia ou nulla
    string strATTACH_CONTENT_LOCATION = attachment.PropertyAccessor.GetProperty(@"http://schemas.microsoft.com/mapi/proptag/0x3713001E").ToString();
    if (!string.IsNullOrWhiteSpace(strATTACH_CONTENT_ID) || !string.IsNullOrWhiteSpace(strATTACH_CONTENT_LOCATION))
    //Busca a propriedade AttachFlag se for diferente de 4 é uma imagem embedded
    if ((int)attachment.PropertyAccessor.GetProperty(@"http://schemas.microsoft.com/mapi/proptag/0x37140003") == 4)
    return true;
    if ((int)attachment.PropertyAccessor.GetProperty(@"http://schemas.microsoft.com/mapi/proptag/0x37050003") == 6)
    return true;
    if ((int)attachment.PropertyAccessor.GetProperty(@"http://schemas.microsoft.com/mapi/proptag/0x37140003") == 4)
    return true;
    return false;
    And was working very well until last week.
    I have a problem with a single email. This email attachments possess 2 PDF type files. These files are not embbed in the email, but they have the contentId property. Could you tell me why? or if its possible discovery why this happens?
    PS.: Sorry about my english.

  • Can you explain a huge difference between a manual pattern and a swatch pattern?

    I have two main question.
    one is a difference between a manual pettern (copy and paste object multiple times) and a swatch pattern.
    and another one is the reason why a swatch pattern is much smaller file size then the other.
    here is the detail.
    at work,
    somebody created the pattern white background and almost 120 lions in the box.
    Literally, copy and past the object repeadily till fill the box.
    It was eps format and 72mbs.
    So I created a pattern in swatch (ofcourse properly), and a draw a big box and filled with pattern.
    and It was only under 2 mbs Al format.
    and I was importing the my Al file to indesign and my senior designer said
    I was wasting my time for nothing.
    she said even though it's under 2mb still all the anchor points are there and takes long time to load the file.
    and last time the eps file created error. But mine was swatch pattern in AI so I totally don't understand.
    What she suggested was, create a tif file with eps file so it doesn't creat any error.
    Can Anybody explain this ?

    The difference is instances just like with symbols.
    If objects are manually copied and placed then each and every anchor, path, and shape is tracked by the file. Every single one of them.
    If a pattern swatch is made, the original art is referenced once then called as often as needed. Each anchor, path, and shape is not stored. One set of data regarding the anchors, paths, and shapes is stored then the app simply tracks where copies are located.
    Using pattern swatches (and symbols) will greatly increase performance when redrawing and outputting, not to mention editing and file size (if that's a consideration).

    TABLESPACE_NAME                   SIZE_GB    FREE_GB

    CDCRPT_IDX                            4.5 4.22113037

    LM_128K_DAT_01                          6 3.96582031
    CPM_DAT                        5.37109375 .469665527
    CPM_IDX                           6.59375 2.86303711Your 1st query will hold true only for datafiles which are AUTOEXTENSIBLE, because the table SYS.FILEXT$ holds entry for those file_ids (datafiles) which has AUTOEXTENSIBLE as YES in DBA_DATA_FILES. If all your datafiles of all tablespaces are AUTOEXTENSIBLE (YES), then you should get entry like
    CPM_DAT 10240 5500 4740 46 %.
    Now, maxspace is calculated as sum((((8192*maxextend)/1024)/1024)) from table SYS.FILEXT$. maxextend signifies the maximum number of blocks that a file_id (datafile) can extend upto. That is, as the datafile is AUTOEXTENSIBLE, it has been allocated a minimum extend initially and then it can INCREMENT BY some particular EXTENTs until it reach MAX EXTENTS. So, this maxentend denote the same. Now if your database is using 8K block size (show parameter DB_BLOCK_SIZE), then we can get the maximum size of the datafile it can grow upto by using 8192*maxextend, and converted to MB (/1024/1024).
    USEDSPACE and SIZE_GB calculated sam way using SUM(BYTES) from dba_data_files, just one is in MB and another in GB.
    FREESPACE in 1st query is calculated as MAXSPACE - USEDSPACE, that is, space available for the file_id(datafile) to grow until reached maxextend. That is, we can guarantee that the datafile will not throw error until this value is reached and can be used out of the operating system disk space. It doesn't signify the free space for the datafile available in DB. FREE_GB in 2nd query signifies that.
    % FREE is usual.
    Thanks,
    Tapan

  • How to tell the difference between DRM (fairplay) music and non-DRM music?

    Apple finally is selling non-DRM music and I've bought a couple songs in the past with ease. I like the system but I'm having a problem finding out which music is still using DRM.
    Apple originally differentiated it by charging 30 cents more for the unprotected music. Now however they removed the surcharge, but there's no way to tell if the music I'm looking at is protected.
    I choose not to buy DRMed music as I'm using my music to burn MP3 CDs for my car, and having to crack protection isn't the way I want to do it.
    How can I tell using iTunes Store which music is DRM protected, and which music is DRM free?

    Agreed, I have stopped buying from iTunes until they eliminate the restrictions, and have started replacing the songs I DID buy from iTunes with non copy protected ones from Amazon. I tell everyone not to buy from iTunes for exactly that reason. There are lots of other excellent options, which do not have the stupid restrictions that Apple has. The iPod is great, iTunes with DRM is incredibly annoying.

    Batch Input Session:
    - It is a sequence of transactions, which is generated when user run a particular program.
    - It contains the accounting documents that are to be created. The SAP system stores these transactions until you decide to process them online.
    - It does not update transaction figures until the session has been processed.  Using this technique, you can transfer large amounts of data to the SAP system in a short time.
    Three processing modes of executing Batch Input Session :-
    (1) Run Visibly : You can correct faulty transactions online & work step-by-step through  the transactions not yet executed.
    (2) Display Errors only : You can correct faulty transactions online.   Transactions not yet executed, but without error, run in the background.
    (3) Run in Background : Recommended by SAP.

  • What is the difference between NetWeaver 7.3 and NetWeaver 7.03?

    Hi Experts,
    Can anydoby explain me the difference between NetWeaver 7.3 and NetWeaver 7.03? or say difference between NetWeaver 7.2 and NetWeaver 7.02?
    I have been confused by these 2 terms. As far as I know, the features of AS ABAP in NetWeaver 7.3 and NetWeaver 7.03 are almost same. The same applies to NetWeaver 7.2 and NetWeaver 7.02.
    BTW, as I know the BS2011 are based on NetWeaver 7.03, PI 7.3 are based on NetWeaver 7.3.
    Thanks and Best Regards

    Yes, all 4.x dot releases (updates) are free of charge to all version 4 owners.
    You only pay again for the next major version upgrade = version 5  unless you're a Cloud member where all upgrades and updates are included in the membership fee.
