Can you put Microsoft Office

Can you put Microsoft Office & Quickbooks on a mac

Yes, there is a version of MS Office for Macs.
But since you asked this in the iPhone forum I'll add that there is no version of Office for iOS devices. You'll have to use other apps that open, edit and allow transfer to the Mac or PC as Office files.

IS there a way to put Microsoft office on an iPad 2? In particular word and PowerPoint

No, as Microsoft have not made app versions of them. There are various apps that support MS Office documents e.g. from Apple there are Pages (word), Numbers (Excel) and Keynote (Powerpoint) app, and from third-parties there are apps such as Documents To Go Premium and QuickOffice HD, both of which support all three document types.

You can purchase Microsoft Office for Mac (http://www.microsoft.com/mac/products), then install it on your iMac, and be able to read most if not all Office documents generated on your work systems, be they PC or Mac computers.

  • How can you download microsoft office v.x test drive

Im new to mac and I was wondering how to get microsoft office on my PPC?...Should it already be installed? If so where can I locate it to activate it?

I don't think Office ever came as a demonstration version on Macs. To get it on there you will have to buy a version that is compatible with the old OSX version you are using (I use Office 2004). I don't know hte specifications of hte current version of Office but it wouldn't surprise me if it had higher requirements than 10.4.
Alternatively, look at applications such as Open Office and NeoOffice which are similar to Office and are free.

  • Can you put KM attributes in a office document?

    Hello,
I have a question : "Can you put KM attributes such as a document version number automatically in a Office document"?
For iso documents it's needed to have a version counter in the word document itself. If the km version number could be copied into the document this would greatly reduce the number of errors.
    Thanks,

    Hi Frederik,
you would have to implement a repository service which subscribes to creation / modification of resources, then checks if the resource is an MSOffice document, and in this case modify this document again (this is also a trap, you would create a new version(!) and your RepService would get called again; without care, you will quite fast create an infinite loop..).
To set properties on a MSOffice document you could use http://jakarta.apache.org/poi - anyhow, as said, this sounds like not being very reasonable in the case when using versioning and / or approval services.
    Hope it helps nevertheless

Yes, probably can.. but it won't be fast. You are better storing programs locally and data remotely.

  • How to put microsoft office on s10

how can i install microsoft office on my s10?  i have only the disc, but can't put disc in s10 to install microsoft.

You can use an alternative way, very simple
    1) Download daemon tools lite (free version, just google it)
    2) Download a ISO make for free,  I forgot which one is free, google that too,
           - with the ISO maker, select the option, "make ISO from CD"
This will basically make a "CD image" of your office as a file,
    3) Then transfer this ISO file on a flash drive, then plug that flash drive into your netbook (s10)
Then install daemon tools lite on your flash drive, then create a "virtual drive" using daemon tools,
        OR
right click on the daemon tools on your bottom right taskbar, then find the option "Mount image to CD"
Then mount the ISO image you got from your desktop as the ISO image.
    4) Then wallah you have a virtual CD drive running on your S10 via daemon tools.  So after you mount,
you go to my computer then double click on the "virtual cd drive" you just created and install as usual
treat it as a normal cd drive.
    5) you can use the same trick for any cd or dvd.  Make image using some ISO tool,
ISO image... then transfer image to laptop via usb drive, then mount image to virtual cd drive
       Thats it, simple
Hope it works for you bebo

  • It´s possible to put microsoft office in ipad 2

i can put microsoft office in ipad 2?

buy the app, there's a free download of the documents to go desktop. Install it and it creates a folder. That's the sync folder. put documents in it that you want sync'd with your ipad. documents that you create on your ipad will go into this folder. (you can also choose folders to sync from. theoretically you can sync your whole 'my documents' but if you're like me that's way more space than is on your device)
there are instructions how to pair the device and your computer.
as often as you want you open the documents to go app on your device, open the  desktop and sync the device and folder. It syncs over wireless. You also have the option to put documents on your device that do not sync (like if you have files or documents that you want for reference)
You can google and read about it. I've used the program on both my Touch and iPad and it works well.

  • How can i use microsoft office on the mAC - what app do i purchase? help?!!

how can i use microsoft office on the mAC - what app do i purchase? help?!!

What aspect of Microsoft Office? Office is a suite of programs... Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.
You've got several potential options. Libre Office and Open Office (both googleable) are 'open source,' free, downloadable programmes that will open most MS Office programmes and perform many of the functions of MS Office. Might be an idea to have a look round for reviews (etc) first, to see if they sound like they'll match your needs.
If you're keen to use the App Store, there's Apple's own suite of programmes: Pages, Numbers and Keynote. They're a word processor, spreadsheet programme, and presentation-type programme with similar functions to Word, Excel and Powerpoint respectively. They're pretty good for most functions, and are better integrated with Macs than MS programmes. They're excellent programmes for what they do, and relatively cheap (about £14 each?).
But if you're heavily reliant on MS, want ALL the bells and whistles of MS, or need to regularly transfer files between MS programmes on other computers and your laptop / desktop computer, then they might not be the best of ideas. Keynote - IME - can have some difficulties in transferring formatting to Powerpoint.
Finally, there's MS Office Mac 2011. You can't download MS Office from the App Store, but can order the CDs from most online stores (including Apple's own store). It might be worth price hunting - if you're a student, you can usually find the programmes relatively cheap (£38 at the moment on Software4Students, though you'll need to belong to an academic institution / have a UK .ac email address). Apple's own prices on MS software are unlikely to be the best prices out there (though the product will be identical).
MS Office includes Word, Excel and Powerpoint in the basic version. The slightly more expensive version (which, I think, is the £38 one on S4S) includes Outlook. Which - IME - is far more of a nuisance than Apple's native Mail programme.
(I should probably add - I'm an academic. I own both Apple's own programmes, and MS Office 2011. I tend to use the MS programmes more, if only because they're the ones that other people tend to use, and transferring between Apple and MS programmes is a minor inconvenience. Pages also lacks Garamond, my favourite work font. The Apple progs are, however, far more beautifully integrated, and would be MORE than good enough for most users...)

  • Can I load Microsoft Office Word 2011 for MAC on an IPAD 2?  If yes, then how?  I have the software and one more load opportunity left.

Can I load Microsoft Office Word 2011 for MAC on an IPAD 2?  If yes, then how?  I have the software and one more load opportunity left.
Reason that I ask is that I'm worried that I will not be able to read or work word or excel docs that people send me.

No. Office 2011 for Mac is coded to run with OS X. In order to work on the iPad the app must be coded for iOS instead.
If you look in the iTunes App Store, you will find that there are many apps that allow you to work with Office files on an iPad.

  • Can I transfer Microsoft Office from my Macbook Pro (2008) to my new Macbook Pro (Retina Display)?

    Hi guys,
So I recently decided to upgrade to a newer model of my Macbook. As we all know, Apple have had to remove the CD/DVD drive in order to make the new models thinner and lighter, and so now I can't install Microsoft Office 2011 from the disk that was used to install it onto my old Macbook.
I don't particluarly want to part with any money for a USB to CD/DVD drive, and so I was wondering if there was a way of simply copying or moving the old microsoft office onto my new macbook?
    Thanks in advance

There are basically two choices; but first you must remove Office from your old Mac (be sure to do that first).   This is important because you need to remove the license file and other stuff in order to be able to reuse your license on your new Mac.   Then, you can do either of the following:
Get an external Superdrive and install Office on your new Mac, using the Office install DVD.  I suggest this is the better alternative.
Download Office 2011 from Microsoft and install online

  • How can I transfer Microsoft office from my old macbook pro to macbook air

how can I transfer microsoft office from macbook pro to macbook air?

Assuming you have the 2011 version the easiest way is go to Microsoft's Web site and download Mac Office 2011 onto your MacBook Air and then run it. If you have the 2008 (or the 2011) version on disc you can turn on DVD sharing in the Sharing control panel of your MBP and install it by remotely sharing your MBP's DVD.
Since Microsoft uses activation when you start Office on the new computer if you use the same activation code as you used on the MBP you'll probably get a message to call Microsoft. Do so and just explain that you got a new computer.

How can I transfer microsoft office from my old MacBook Air to my new one?

All your data will be transferred if you use Setup Assistant, which starts automatically the first time you boot the new machine. You may need to contact Microsoft to reactivate the product.
