Can you remap keys? My esc button doesn't work!

Hey guys, I'm a pretty advanced used of FCP but just realised after i started capturing a sequence from my camcorder that the escape button on my MBP doesn't work!! Is there any way i can stop the capturing without losing everything? It's my first capture so it's the first clip to be imported.

Now we are being honest. Good. To remap your FCP keyboard, go to Tools->Keyboard Layout->Customize... (or press Option-H). You will see keyboard map. Unlock it (lower left corner padlock) and type "esc" in the search field. Drag the search result onto the slash (/) key on the map and quit the layout window. Now to stop capture you have to press /

Can't Add Credit Card (submit button doesn't work)

Hey. Recently come across a problem trying to add my credit card so I could buy a Twitter app that works with Twitters new authorization.
The submit button doesn't work. It is still there, but it is unclickable, it doesn't load up anything, or do anything. It doesn't change to being clickable at any time.
If it helps, I have the Palm Pre, I'm with O2 (UK).

This sounds like a credit card related issue. Has anything about your credit card changed, like a new expiration data? You can go to App Catalog, tap the drop-down menu, select Preferences and Accounts, then choose the account name, enter your profile password, tap continue, When the Edit Credit Card screen appears, re-enter the credit card number and confirm that the remaining info is valid or enter any new information, then submit.

Can't create Smart Collection, Save-Button doesn't work

i have the Problem that i can't create Smart Collection, the Save-Button doesn't work, the Smart-Collection Window stays open and nothing happens when i click the "save" button!
i use CC with a new installed W8 and all is up-to-date.

Just to clarify, Photoshop CC has not been released yet. It will come out on June 17.
What you have now is Photoshop 13.x as per the subscription model (»Abo«) and it's called Photoshop CS6. When Photoshop 14.x is released on June 17, then it will be called "CC".
It's not clear—at least to me—which images, if any, you have selected in Bridge when you hit the »Speichern« (Save) button.
Remember that a Collection is nothing more than a saved search, i.e. a saved collection of selected search results (hits).
Could you elaborate on what it is you want to save as a collection?

TS3276 Can't send email. Send button doesn't work.

I'm using mail 4.6. The send button doesn't work. I click on it and nothing happens.

Can't Add Zone To DNS - + Button Doesn't Work

Running 10.4 Server and I can't add a zone. The + button doesn't bring up a dialog like it is supposed to...
Is there a fix for this?
Did I miss a step somewhere?

Found the solution to this problem myself.
My Ethernet cable was disconnected when I was trying to add a zone.
I initially disconnected the cable because I didn't want to interfere with any other servers on our network. As a last resort, I connected the cable.
I spent the better part of 4 hours with Apple support and they didn't know about this.
Apple should fix this if this is not intentional. I don't recall seeing anything in the manual about this.
I hope this helps someone out there.

I can't print anymore, the "help" button doesn't work, and Firefox always sets to "Never Remember History" even if I change it

SO many issues with Firefox now! For one, it crashes quite a bit. I submit the crash report, and go from there. Keeps happening. But the main thing is this:
I go to "Options" and under "Privacy" it has "Never remember history" - I change it to "use custom settings for history", hit "ok" and then when I go back to it, it's back on "never remember history" already. What gives?
The issues I'm having right now is that I used to click on Print in my email (Yahoo) and pop-up blocker would stop it, but a dialog would pop up saying "try again", and I would hit that, and a separate window would open where I could print the email. Now, when I click on print, NOTHING happens. No box, no changes whatsoever. No pop-ups blocked, nothing at all. I mean, the button for "print" doesn't even react like I clicked on it. Nothing happens.
The other issue is that when there's a text box, if I start to type my email address, it suggests my email address. It never used to do this! I don't want this, either. How can I stop the suggesting of my email address. I don't want it to remember what I typed!
Another issue with Firefox is that when I click on the "menu" button in the top right, there's a question mark that says "open help menu" at the bottom. When I click on that, the help menu is EMPTY. I included a picture so you can see.
I've "reloaded Firefox", as well as downloaded another copy and actually reinstalled it. All these errors keep happening. How can I get them to stop or function correctly? What's causing them to work all wonky?

The "Use custom settings for history" selection allows to see the current history and cookie settings, but selecting this doesn't make any changes to history and cookie settings.
Firefox shows "Use custom settings for history" as an indication that at least one of the history and cookie settings is not the default to make you aware that changes were made.
If all History settings are default then the custom settings are hidden and you see "Firefox will: (Never) Remember History".
"Never Remember History" means that Private Browsing is active and "Always use private browsing mode" gets a checkmark.
You need to remove the checkmark on "Always use private browsing mode" to leave Private Browsing mode or chose the "Remember History" setting.

[SOLVED] Remapping keys using udev hwdb doesn't work on rightAlt

hi, I had posted this topic in the [ newbie corner ] subforum for days, but got no repliy. I hope I can find luck here.
I'm trying to use udev hwdb for swapping pairs of keys ( esc, caps_lock ) and ( rightAlt , rightCtrl ) . I followed the instruction here Map Scancodes to Keycodes with procedures describe blow. I only succeed in exchanging pair (esc, caps_lock) but failed in (rightAlt, rightCtrl).
Details of Procedures:
Create an empty file under /usr/lib64/udev/hwdb.d with file name 90-custom-keys.hwdb . Add the following lines into this file.
keyboard:dmi:bvn*:bvr*:bd*:svnDell*:pn*
KEYBOARD_KEY_01=capslock
KEYBOARD_KEY_3a=esc
KEYBOARD_KEY_e038=rightctrl

Thie last 6 lines seems to be complaining the problem, saying that 0xe038 and 0xe01d are invalid scancodes.
But they are scancodes of rightAlt and rightCtrl respectively, which I got from
showkey -s
After rebooting the system with the above settings, esc works as caps_lock and caps_lock works as esc but rightAlt and rightCtrl has no changes.

Thanks plam and Raynman for your help . Follow your hints, I succeed the swapping key task in an alternative method.
Using the command 'setkeycodes' and adding these commands into a systemd controlled service script, keymaps are exchanged as gdm started.
Here is my script and steps for doing this.
Created a file with filename custom-keys.service under /etc/systemd/system. Add the following context to the file.
[Unit]
Description=Keymap Custom
Requires=gdm.service
After=gdm.service
[Service]
Type=oneshot
ExecStart=/usr/bin/setkeycodes 1 58
ExecStart=/usr/bin/setkeycodes 3a 1
ExecStart=/usr/bin/setkeycodes e01d 100
ExecStart=/usr/bin/setkeycodes e038 97
[Install]
WantedBy=graphical.target
Enable the script so setkeycodes commands will automatically executed when gdm starts
systemctl enable custom-keys
The next time you reboot your system, key changes will take effect. To test if your config works, try
systemctl start custom-keys

You'll have to upgrade your operating system first.
Most, if not all, Cloud apps require at least OS X 10.7.

The Size of all disks is: 6 x 4 TB.
In the Pool are 5 x 4 TB plus 1 x Hot Spare.
It comes up to about 14,6 TB of Data formatable.
But tried it also with just 3 x 4 TB to see if it works.
I just made a Raid5EE on the controller and then used Storage Spaces with simple, all worked fine.
Here the results of my tests:
1) your command had to be modified (typoe in usemaximumsize, and had to add -ResiliencySettingName Parity.
new-virtualdisk -friendlyname testpsh -storagepoolfriendlyname test -ResiliencySettingName Parity -usemaximumsize
But anyway, my problem is not creating the virtual disk, but formatting the partition if it's parity only.
I added a screenshot:
Here you see my storage pool, and I added 3 virtual disk.
1 simple, 1 mirror, 1 parity. Only the parity cannot be formatted. The others can. No mather which size I do.
About a testserver, I added 4 x 4 TB to a VM (VHDX-files) and could do parity without problems. So it seems it is this server specific.
As it worked with another controller, I really wonder if the controller could break parity of Storage Pools?
The other weird part is, it sais "Raid" as BUS, but it's set to pass through, in details I see the serial of the attached HDD.
This is what properties shows on this volume. Always RAW.
I also tried Software Raid5 within the server.
This also worked fine. So really only parity.

A reset is when you press and hold both the home and sleep buttons for 10 seconds or so until the Apple logo appears. You won't lose any data. Give it a try.

Probably nothing, the phone has a high likelihood of being stolen and if you try to Restore it you will run into Activation Lock. Turn it in to the local authorities.

Since replacing hard drive, "restore previous session" button doesn't work, can only do it through history tab. Also will not start up from task bar icon.

You can use the alternative called assistive touch to enable assistive touch go to settings>general>Accessibility>scroll down to the bottom of the page and enable assistive touch a white dot at the bottom right of your screen will appear press the white dot and you will see the home button
