Some lists are already there, which I don't need, like "test" and "photoimport" How do you get rid of them?

Hello edwina7, many site issues can be caused by corrupt cookies or cache. In order to try to fix these problems, the first step is to clear both cookies and the cache.
Note: ''This will temporarily log you out of all sites you're logged in to.''
To clear cache and cookies do the following:
#Go to Firefox > History > Clear recent history or (if no Firefox button is shown) go to Tools > Clear recent history.
#Under "Time range to clear", select "Everything".
#Now, click the arrow next to Details to toggle the Details list active.
#From the details list, check ''Cache'' and ''Cookies'' and uncheck everything else.
#Now click the ''Clear now'' button.

I followed your instructions, but when you check on any of the presets and look at what can and cannot be "preset" you see that these are the standard print settings, and have nothing to do with the dialogue box choices that you have when you first select the Style "Envelopes" when printing from Contacts.

The "Presets" dropdown menu above under the "Printer" dropdown menu only refers to regular print dialogue box options and not those you can select under "Layout", "LAbel" or "Orientation" from the special dialogue box for printing envelopes from Contacts.
And it is these settings that I woul dlike to fix in a preset so I don't have to repeat them every time I want to print an envelope or a label from COntacts.
Any ideas on fixing these options into a preset?
Of should I finally break down and learn something about AppleScripts and use them in a situation like this?

Welcome to the Apple community.
The apps are not actually in your iCloud storage, they are links to the apps in the App Store. What you are seeing is your purchase history and as such cannot be deleted.
You can however hide your purchases, which you can do from the QuickLinks > Purchased option from the main page in the iTunes Store on your computer.

Can you remove a layer that you once added to a JLayeredPane?
I am trying to use the "remove" method in the api.
I add a layer like this:
r_lp.add(r_close_but, new Integer(2));
But when i try to remove it like this:
r_lp.remove(2);
i get the following:
ArrayIndexOutOfBounds Exception: No such child 2
Why?
is there a way to achieve what i want, to delete the layer?

Hi Axia,
You cannot remove a layer from the JLayeredPane, only the components added to the JLayeredPane using remove(int) where int is the indexed component from this pane. This is the absolute index, ignoring layers.
So you just need to do r_lp.remove(1) assuming there is only one component added to the pane.

I have tried removing notes from the bottom part of my Address Book contacts, but when I highlight what I want to remove, and then press the delete button, the deleted portion disappears AND THEN REAPPEARS seconds later!
How can I delete these notes permanently?

There are two possibilities you can try:
1. Delete all your duplicate entries. You can try downloading and running this Applescript Remove Duplicates, which will create a group named Duplicates in Address Book, from which you should be able to delete those entries, by selecting the Group, then in the next column to the Right, select all the entries and choose Delete Cards from the Edit menu.
2. If that doesn't work, you can do this:
1. Quit Address Book if it's running.
2. Go to ~/Library/Application Support/AddressBook and delete an of these files/folders you find there:
• ABPerson.skIndex
• ABPerson.skIndexInverted
• Address Book - xxxxx.abbu
• AddressBook.data
• AddressBook.data.beforesave
• AddressBook.data.previous
• Images
• LastImport.plist
3. Restart Address Book and see if the default cards are there (Apple card, and your Me card) and if all seems to be working correctly.

I know you can turn off the toolbar with open parameters, but we would like to only display the zoom controls on the toolbar. Can I do this with an FDF file or some other way?

According to the Javascript docs for Acrobat 7 the App.HideToolbarButton function only runs at AppInit. Which means that I would have to have the javascript in a file. How can I do that from within the document? Is there another way to to do set this from our web application?

when i use firefox i can open my yahoo mail & use all its functions excpet i can't access my contacts list, it does not open the list. but i can do this while using Explorer.

This is probably an issue with the new Yahoo code that Yahoo needs to fix on their site.<br />
You can try to contact them or post on a Yahoo forum if there is such a forum for problems with Yahoo! Mail.

Select "Manage Accounts" on the bottom of the menu.
Select the account for which you want to make this change.

Just use the balance to buy some songs that you like. Once they are downloaded, convert them to MP3/320 format (to remove the iTunes fingerprints), and... enjoy the music!

You could create a new dimension build file for your products dimension but only down to the service parts level. then use a load rule with the remove unspecified box checked on the Dimension build setting tab. But if it is unused (redeemed 20 GC and it is still 20 on the account), you may request to have it underedeemed. You need to call the Account Security Team as you will need to verify the account info and also provide the redemption code for the caed.

How can you remove mirroring from the digital images of old photographs?

I have inherited several hundred old photographs and many of them display "silver mirroring" in the black regions which creates a bluish cast on the scanned image. Is there a simple way to reduce this problem during the scanning process or is there a way within Photoshop to repair it? With many such photographs, I shutter to consider the time required to repair them one-by-one in Photoshop.

When scanning, try setting the black threshold up a bit. This might loose some detail in the dark regions, but it will also make the slightly lighter images in the dark regions disappear. It depends on how light the images are and how much dark-region detail you are willing to sacrifice.
