Can You Restore Group Policy to its Deafault Settings

I was wondering if you can restore Group Policy to its default settings with no GPO's or anything (except of course for the deafult two)?
Thanks for the help.

You can use the DCGPOFIX.EXE utility (see
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc736813(WS.10).aspx) to return the "Default Domain Policy" and "Default Domain Controllers Policy" back to their default settings. If you do decide to do that, be sure you save a copy of the settings report from
the GPOs as they sit before you run DCGPOFIX so that you can create addt'l GPOs with your customizations in them.

  • Can you restore groups of apps on your iPhone from your back up

I have had to restore my iphone 4 to factor defaults and then restored from a previous date but can not find a way to reinstall all my app and in the groups that I had saved them into previously.

I knew that but there must be a way of reinstall in the apps as groups or into the groupings. It only makes sense

  • Can I import a list of services into Group Policy Preferences \ Control Panel Settings \ Services?

    Hello,
We want to control server services with Group Policy Preferences via the Group Policy Preferences \ Control Panel Settings \ Services.  By starting from scratch, I don want to manually add each Service here.  Can I import a list of Services
here, then go back and config the properties?
    I appreciate the help.
    Thanks for your help! SdeDot

    > with settings, however I don't see a way to import that list.
Usually, there's no need for that. Most people only configure services
that aren't already configured the way they should be after an OOBE
    install...

Can I restore the software to its original version? My iPhone 4S is only 8gb and i think d new version is eating up the memory size.

Afraid not. Downgrading the iOS is not an option. Neither should it be eating memory - you might like to look elsewhere for the cause of a memory problem.

As many times as you want till you delete or modify it.
It's YOUR backup, a copy of all your stuff.

  • Can you restore from a backup that was made on a previous version of iOS?

    Hello.
I had an iPhone 3GS unning whatever the latest proper version of iOS currently is at the time of writing (4.3.5, is it?) but on Saturday I was on a rather drunken night out and I lost my phone.
    Silly me.
But I was out of contract and the new iPhone (4S or 5 or whatever) is going to be announced on Tuesday next week (just been confirmed by Apple today) so I'm just going to make do with an old, spare Nokia until the new iPhone is available in the UK.
Once the new iPhone launches I will buy it, plug it into iTunes and just restore from backup and I'm back in business.
Except for one thing... The new iPhone will have iOS 5 installed and my last backup before I lost my 3GS was done on iOS 4.3.5.
Is this going to be a problem or can you restore from a backup made with an older version of the OS?
I've never done it before so I don't know.
    J

You "should" have no problem doing that. I say should, because you can't restore a backup made with a higher iOS on a device running a lower iOS, I.E. - you can't restore a backup made from a device running, let's say iOS 4.3.5 on a device running iOS 4.2.10. However, iOS 5.0 will present many new features and since it has not been released, I have no way of stating with certainty that doing as you plan will not present any problems. Past history indicates it won't, but we'll have to wait & see.

I think you could but you wouldn't like what you see in Design View.   Why do you want to do this?

no, you cannot.  However, the SIM doesn't need to be active.  An old deactivated SIM from the carrier to which the phone is locked (if the phone is locked) will do.

    See Erasing disks securely
Start up from your install disc, go to Disk Utility and select the disk and click erase - to securely erase data click Security Options and Erase Free Space which will entirely wipe your disk, overwriting it with zeros so that no data is recoverable.

    Hi Xkandrux
Do you mean if I go to edit-preference-device and delete all the recent backup except the older backup I want then it will appear when I select "Restore backup " ?
