There isn't any info yet and don't quote me but I'd say there is very high chance it will be locked to O2 and only work with the sim card that the iphone comes with. It's doubtful it will work with the tmobile sim card.

I just downloaded the new Firefox 4, rebooted, and viewed your videos re the new look and new features. Problem is, my toolbars look no different than before. The new icons you talk about do not appear on my screen. Please advise. Thank you.
The Firefox icon is the default feature for Windows Vista and 7 only, it does not apply to Windows XP users.
To have the Firefox icon instead of the Menu Bar:
View > Toolbars and UNCHECK the Menu Bar.
After that, click on the Firefox icon and you'll have the Menu Bar appear again.

How To or Can You Sync from the Apple Tv and Not I tunes???
Ok so Apple is not fixing the problem with the Apple Tv staying in the device list of I-Tunes...not happy about it but whatever. So does anyone know if you can reestablish communication from the Apple Tv, so you do not have to keep going to the computer somewhere else in the house to do it???
Any idea on how to make it appear again in the device list without having to quit i-tunes and re start it on the computer itself, can it be done remotely from the Apple Tv??
Any idea on if having an I-Pod touch controlling it via the network instead of the Apple Tv remote would help out if nothing can be done with the regular remote for the Apple Tv?I have not tried these things yet, but have seen others who have and none of it worked. But the question is can any of those things prevent I-tunes from dropping the Apple TV from the device list. It did not matter if the Apple Tv was hard wired or not, the wireless strength is very strong and I can still access i-tunes via the network I just can not play my own movies. I do not think I can fix the problem I think Apple has a larger issue with this. I'm not the only one with this problem and see no fixes. So I'm just trying to find a work around from someone who knows more than me, until Apple fixes it...

Can you have both the Edge discount and employer discount?
I wanted to ask to make sure, because I can't tell based on how it's listed on my plan on the website (I think the Edge per line discount is only listed on the monthly bill). But once I instate an employer discount, will the Edge $25 discount per line remain on my plan? I know the employer discount is only on the 10gb shared data part of the plan, so I'm hoping the $40-25=$15 per line access will remain.

i created a .swf slideshow in fireworks and imported it to dreamweaver, but the image has a rather large colored background and there is a frame around the slideshow itself. Is there a way to only display the photos? am i using the correct application. i am using cs4 web premium.
Aperture allows for trimming the audio of any clip that you drop as background music onto the film strip. The clip appears as a green bar, and you can drag it to the place where you want the music to begin, also you can shorten/trim it by dragging the handles at the ends of the audio region.
For example:
If that does not suffice, you can use iTunes to trim the music. For any song in iTunes you can set the start and end time in the "options" pane of the Information panel. Then create a new, shorter version of the song, using the menu

Can you refer to the original host name when using a challenge redirect?
I have an authentication scheme that uses a challenge redirect to cause authentication to happen using https instead of http. However, this seems to break some of our monitoring scripts because now the credential challenge is coming from a different host name. Is it possible to refer to the original host name with some type of variable in the challenge redirect parameter? Below is an example:
1. User accesses secured URL at http://appstenv2.company.com/testurl
2. This webserver is hosting several aliases (appstenv2.company.com, appstenv4.company.com, appstenv6.company.com) and has a main name of appsdev.company.com - but is a single apache webserver where there is an application server plugin installed which will route to the desired application server environment based on the original hostname. So if a user accesses it with a name of appstenv2.company.com/testurl they will be routed to the "test 2" environment application server. If they access it as appstenv6.company.com, they would be routed to the "test 6" environment application server.
3. This webserver listens on both http and https.
4. The current challenge redirect can only redirect to a specific URL so it is set to "https://appsdev.company.com" which works fine interactively but the recorded monitoring scripts suddenly see a new hostname doing the prompting for credentials even though it is the same webserver - just a different alias.
5. If possible, I would want to do the redirect in a relative fashion rather than absolute by using the original hostname from the URL being accessed. So, if the user was accessing http://appstenv2.company.com/testurl, I would like to redirect to https://appstenv2.company.com for the basic authentication. but with the same authentication scheme, if the user accesses http://appstenv6.company.com/testurl, I would want the challenge redirect to go to https://appstenv6.company.com. I'm hoping it's possible to use some system variable like SERVER_NAME to do this.

I removed the original HD and want to use it as a backup with external drive.
HP laptop G71ous win. 7. This forum helped me remove and reinstall original drive. I am using it in an external drive unit. My question is : How can I remove data so i can clear space. It tells me i do not have admin rights, and cannot remove windows folders. I have tried entering properties and changing ownership.Thanks for your help.
Just to add to what mct007 said, I recommend formatting the drive though this will remove all files on the drive.
Another alternate option is to use the command prompt to take ownership of the said folders.
This site has some good information on the commands to do this. Be sure to use the folder commands for folders and the file commands for individual files. Also, don't forget to elevate the command prompt. This can be done by right-clicing the command prompt in the Start menu and selecting Run as Administrator.
Once ownership is achieved, you should be able to do anything you want with the files and folders.
There are many ways to accomplish the same task and I just wanted to add to mct007's statement.

Can you reverse delete the preferences/settings file.
OnOne software advised me to delete the preference/setting file in order to prevent constant crashes from using Perfect Effects 8. It didn't help. Perfect Effects still crashes CS6, and now I lose my settings everytime it crashes. Can this be reversed?
They told me to hold down Alt, Ctrl, and Shift keys (Mac: Command, Option, Shift) while starting up Photoshop, which I did and then select "delete the preferences/settings file".
How do I reverse this. It didn't help the crashes at all, and it's SO much work to get my setting back every time it crashes.Holding down the modifier keys at startup is a one time deal. It has to be repeated each time you want to reset the preferences.
So thats telling me (so I assume) that your preferences maybe corrupted or there is a permission issue with the file or folder the file is located in.

Your partitions are also messed up.
I'm guessing here you have "Untitled" as a OS X boot volume and your user data on "My Mac"?
If you keep everything on one partition and all data (users, programs OS X) on the first 50% of the hard drive, it will perform at it's best virtually forever, or until the machine dies of hardware failure.
It's rather easy to defrag once or twice in the life of the machine using the method I have outlined here.
How to safely defrag a Mac's hard drive
Since you might have software and bad sector issues, I suggest you backup user files off the machine (not to TimeMachine, to a regular storage drive) and then (more RAM of course)
Install/upgrade RAM or storage drive in Mac's
and do this + fresh install for optimal Snow Leopard speed on that machine. (ditch the extra partition)

Make sure to use the Disk Utility > Erase with Security > Zero all Data on the hard drive (2 times best), this will map off many bad sectors that are there or have occured due to shock damage and will slow read performance.

My Snow Leopard machine is incredibly fast, even faster than many Macs with later (bloated) OS X versions.
It's because Snow was written to be fast on older 32 bit processors, so it screams on more recent machines. -
