Can you rotate a photo in the photostream?

Some of my photos need 90 degree rotation, but when I click edit, it opens the original file, which I rotated already! There is a good amount of photos this way in my photostream. Is there a way to fix those pics?

The latest update of iPhoto (v. 9.4.3) claims to fix this problem, when photos that you've rotated in iPhoto show up unrotated in Photo Stream.  However, this is not true.  I have iPhoto 9.4.3, and photos that I've uploaded to iPhoto from my camera, and rotated, still show up unrotated in Photo Stream.  I've tried deleting the photos from Photo Stream and then dragging the rotated photos back into Photo Stream from IPhoto, but this doesn't work, becuase the photos never show up in Photo Stream.  The only solution that I've found is:
delete the problem photos from Photo Stream
export the same photos from iPhoto to a new folder on my desktop, giving the photos new filenames (I chose "sequential" (i.e., 1, 2, 3, etc.) and then added the date before the number)
import the renamed photos back into iPhoto, and
select the newly-imported photos and drag them to Photo Stream
It may take a couple of minutes for all the re-imported photos to show up in Photo stream, depending on the number, but eventualy they do show up, properly rotated.  Why Apple can't correct this problem is a mystery to me.

  • How can I save edited photos to the photostream?

When I edit a picture in iPhoto, the photostream in the app shows the edited photo...however it does not truly sync to the photosstream as the photos app on both the iPad and the iPhone show the old picture...any thoughts?

So I just set up an icloud and photostream so I can access my pictures on my laptop (DELL)
but only the new photos are uploading to my photostream and when I select them from the 'photos' app and
go to share, then photostream it want me to choose a contact to send them to, so I don't know how to add them
If you are trying to create a shared stream and don't want to add any subscribers other than yourself, open the Photos app, open the camera roll, tap Select, tap the photos you want to add, tap the share icon (box with upward pointing arrow), tap "iCloud" tap "Stream", tap "New Shared Stream", enter a name for the stream, tap Next, then tap Next again without entering an email address, then tap Post.  In other words, you don't have to enter an email address if you aren't inviting anyone else to subscribe to the stream.  As the owner of the shared stream you are automatically subscribed and will find the shared stream on all your devices.

also on my icloud it doesn't havea photostream button so I'm not sure how to access them?
As mentioned, you can't view them on iCloud.com.  You can view the from an iOS device (such as an iPod Touch) by going to the Photos app and looking in the Shared section.  You can view them on your PC by setting up iCloud on it (see https://www.apple.com/icloud/setup/pc.html), checking Photos on the iCloud control panel, clicking Options next to Photos, and making sure you check both My Photo Stream and Photo Sharing (also note the iCloud photo location beneath this as that is where you will find the photos).

  • Can you upload your photos from the iPhone to the computer?

I want to upload my pictures onto my laptop and all i can seem to do is transfer the computers pictures to my phone which is the total opposite of what i am trying to do...is it actually possible to do the reverse and put my iPhone pictures onto my computer? Thanks :)

The photo sync is one way - computer to iphone.  As they came from your computer in the first place, they should still be there and be included in your regular backup of your computer.
Pics taken with iphone should be imported as you would from any digital camera:
iPhone User Guide (For iOS 4.2 and 4.3 Software)
Copying personal photos and videos from iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to your computer

  • Can you unsync email photos with the mac finder?

I have all my email accounts linked in the Mail application on both my macs, and instantly the mac syncs up every photo in my emails and puts them in the "all images" folder in the finder, I would rather not everyone see the photos in my email just by opening that folder, is there a way to unsync it from putting all the photos into my computer, i want them only in my email.

You can use the camera connection kit to copy photos to the iPad's Photos app, and it supports SDXC cards - this page says :
SDXC (supported only when not formatted as ExFAT)
As long as the card has a DCIM directory off its root with the photos and videos underneath it with filenames exactly 8 characters long (no spaces) plus extension then they should be recognised and be able to be copied to the Photos app. Photos and videos that are imported via the kit can be deleted directly in the iPad's Photos app

  • HT4528 how can you recover deleted photos from the iPhone hard drive?

Is there anyway possible i can recover my deleted photos from my iphone hard drive for free?

You can't for two reasons: First, the iPhone doesn't have a hard drive. Second, there is no Trash folder, so once something is deleted it is gone forever. If you were foresighted enough to sync your phone regularly the photos should still be in the app you used for managing photos from digital cameras on your computer, and they are also in the iPhone backup on your computer. If you enabled Photo Stream they are also in iCloud. But if you didn't take advantage of any of these backup options you are out of luck.

  • How can you adjust vertical photos in the interactive image widget?

It appears that adding a vertical image to the Interactive Widget automatically crops the top half of the image and won't let you adjust the default view.
Anyone else having this? Solving this?

Same problem. I cannot move the default position of the image. If you hide the Title, then at least the full image is visible, but it cannot moved and it is aligned to the top of the image area.

    Actually, wrong.
The tech support people can help with Playbook purchased apps. If you've called and they said they cannot, you were lied to.
Even in the link you posted, in #10, it states clearly "App Refund related matters are handled by BlackBerry Customer Care." That, my friend is accessed by the support number. Again, if you were told otherwise, you should inform them of such or ask for a manage/supervisor.
And, you don't have a "Partner ID" because you are not a "Partner". The section you're referring to applies to mobile providers, which are the Partners.
    Good luck.

  • TS4253 How do you rotate a photo that is sideways in the photo library on iPad?

How do you rotate a photo that is sideways in the photo library on the iPad? I have found no solution in the user manual or anywhere else. I simply want to rotate the picture from being sideways to being upright. Doesn't seem like this should be such a mystery. Or am I missing something obvious? Thx

Thanks folks, I see there are photo editor apps for the iPad. I am downloading one now, and it should work. Good to know I wasn't missing something in the iPad itself. It does not have the capability to rotate or edit pictures without outside help. Thx
