Can you save an image in a video as a photo

I can using the iMovie app on my Mac. I assume you can do the same using the iMovie app on the iPad, but I don't have the iMovie app on my iPad. There may be another app that will work.

A still frame from an Event:
Put cursor at the frame you want, then right click (or command click) and select "Add Still Frame to Project".
The still frame will be added at the end of the Project.
A still frame from a Project:
Put cursor at the frame you want then right-click (or control-click) and select "Add Freeze Frame". The Freeze frame will be added after the clip.
    In both cases:
Select the still frame (so the yellow band is around it).
Right-click (or control-click) and select "Reveal in Finder".
You will see a JPG file highlighted in the finder.
Drag this file and drop it on your iPhoto icon in the Dock.

  • How can you save keynote slides as high resolution (300 dpi) images?

Apparently there is a way to save powerpoint slides as 300 dpi images, with some finagling, but not the mac version.  Does anyone know how to do this in keynote?  Or is there a relativley easy way to do it with free/cheap software?  I can increase the dpi in photoshop, but it doesn't produce crisp images for obvious reasons.

how can you save keynote slides as high resolution (300 dpi)
to save individual images from each slide in Keynote;     file > export > images > TIFF (for optimum quality)
You are using the wrong terminology to describe creating an image file
    - dpi ( meaning dots per inch )  is the measurement used in printing to create the number of print dots per inch that will be deposited on to physical media like paper or film   This is done in the printer settings box of the print driver and is dependant on how the individual printer can print..
    ppi ( meaning pixels per inch ) is the measurement you need to use when creating the number of pixels in a digital image file. You establish image resolution in Keynote using the inspector;
Keynote > inspector > document > slide size
I can increase the dpi in photoshop, but it doesn't produce crisp images for obvious reasons.
You can resample images in editing applications such as Photoshop or Painter but what you are doing is adding non image information to the image to increase pixel count, this is called noise. As you state this is not the procedure to use in your situation.

    Most Simple Back Up:
Drag the iPhoto Library from your Pictures Folder to another Disk. This will make a copy on that disk.
Slightly more complex: Use an app that will do incremental back ups. This is a very good way to work. The first time you run the back up the app will make a complete copy of the Library. Thereafter it will update the back up with the changes you have made. That makes subsequent back ups much faster. Many of these apps also have scheduling capabilities: So set it up and it will do the back up automatically.
Example of such apps: Chronosync - but there are many others. Search on MacUpdate or the App Store
If you want to back up the Photos only:
Export them using the File -> Export command.

To convert it to jpeg, open it in Preview and Save as.

  • How can I save my images like a "wedding photographer" does?

    I have a Pixma PRO-100. . . with a Windows 8.1 PC. . . and printing through Adobe Photoshop Elements 11.
I just printed some wedding pictures of my daughter - which I got from the "wedding photographer"... when I printed them - they were an exact match to what I saw on my screen (which I've calibrated)... and dead on crisp, great quality.
I'm wondering what a wedding photographer does to their images to make them so "solid" in printing.  How do they save them?
when I print something from a my files, (Raw, NEF, or JPEG's) - there always seems to be a color or quality problem? Never a match.  It takes several adjustments and print samples before I get what I want.
Is the ICC Profile a problem - or How can I save my images like a wedding photog does?  So they print exact?

    " ... (Raw, NEF, or JPEG's) ... "
I suspect there are some minor differences you are not seeing and/or noticing on screen.  But right off, no real wedding photographer will shoot in anything except RAW.  You should be using RAW, only, too.  The RAW file to start with has way more info in it than any jpeg does.
Next I would bet your wedding photographer does some tweaking to highlights and shadows, plus s ome other stuff that you are not.  In other words he is getting the photos ready for printing. Remember printing on paper and "printing for on screen" is two different things.

  • How do you save an image that was downloaded from an email into pages to my album?

I had a friend email me a word document with images in it. The document was downloaded onto my iPad and opened in the pages app. I would now like to save the images from this document into my album so I can use them in other applications. I know how to save from the internet but cant get those save image options when I click on the image in pages. Also had a friend send a powerpoint that downloaded in pages. Would like to use images from that file as well. Help please!

I am taking a guess here. The photo does not actually reside on the iPad or in the document itself, so you can't save it to the camera roll. You are just seeing the image on the screen. It may even print, but the photo itself is not on the device, so you can't save it.
Ask him to email the photo itself.

  • Can you 'link' an image state icon, across a folio.....?

Here's a thought for you all.....Can you 'link' an image state icon, across a folio.....
for example a "blinking" 'tap me' 2 state icon, that if you alter, it alters across the whole folio via links??
    Object styles?

For each icon that you want to use in your email signature:
locate icon on internet webpage - right-click on the icon and select 'Save Image as'. Save the icon to your computer in a suitable file.
    Then in Thunderbird
    insert > Image
choose file - locate the saved icon on your computer
click on Link tab and enter the www etc webpage link info
click on OK to insert image with link.
Codewise, where you have the actual icon you would need something stating where the icon is located:
    eg
    <a href="https://www.facebook.com/pages/Ubiquia/146019678805381" target="_blank">
path to image saved on computer included in within <> </a>

  • IN PSE11 can you save in 16-bit JPEG?

IN PSE11 can you save in 16-bit JPEG?

Of course, you can can convert a jpeg (=8 bits) image and save it as 16 bits in other formats than jpeg : especially PSD or TIFF.
For that you have to use the ACR module : Open your 8 bits file with 'Open As', option 'camera raw' and in the bottom line menu of the ACR dialog, set the export option to 16 bits to open in the editor. From the editor you can save your image in one of the 16 bits compliant formats indicated in the above posts.
Note that simply converting an 8 bits image into 16 bits does not add any new information. It is totally useless, unless your goal is to apply heavy editing where theoretically, you would gain some quality starting with 8 bits. Now, in my test, it has been extremely difficult to show the difference...
When working with Elements, the main thing to remember is that the ACR module works internally in 16 bits and can be used for jpegs as well as raw files. That seems an unnecessary step for jpeg originals, but once you are used to it, you have a number of great advantages:
    - same proces that raw files if you use both input formats
    - easier and much better general corrections : white balance, exposure, highlight and shadow, clarity, denoising...
    - much quicker to correct bad exposures and white balance
    - ability to keep the same settings for the subsequent file to edit (impossible in the editor)
    - if you don't need to do further edits (in most cases) you can simply click 'Done' and your settings will be saved in the metadata section of the original files : the image pixels won't be changed and you'll save disk space because you don't need to save an 'edited' copy of the file. The non destructive 'conversion' is the same as in Lightroom : the original is kept and only the editing instructions are saved.
I would say that in my own situation, the ACR plugin is the main software for most pictures, and the editor with layers, masks, filters and local tools is the accessory 'add-on' in most of my edits

  • How can i save some image- profiles in the memory (RAM) of a system?

How can i save some  image- profiles in the memory (RAM) of a system?
(and then I want to read out the memory and save the profiles in a HDD, but first it has to write in a memory, because the write-speed is better by the memory )

There must be an underlying premise for this question that I'm missing... When you run code everything is in memory... Programming 101. Create a variable, set a value to it, and it's in memory. Create a front panel control set a value to it and it's in memory. Data carried by the wires you use to connect your code is in memory. Or are you asking about controlling how that memory is managed - physical vs swap file?
