Can you save PDF Document Properties in InDesign PDF Presets?

It's great to be able to save my PDF settings as an export preset in InDesign, but inevitably, I still have to open my PDF in Acrobat and adjust the initial view in document properties. Does anyone know if it's possible to include any of these settings in the InDesign export settings, to save time?   Thanks!

Hey there,
No, I don't believe it's possible to set the "Initial View" or other Acrobat-specific preferences through InDesign.

    Welcome to Apple Support Communities
If you have Office 365, you can install Office in your iPad > https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/suscriptores-office-mobile/id541164041?mt=8
If you haven't got Office 365, there are other apps that work with Microsoft Word files, like Documents To Go > http://www.dataviz.com/dtg_home.html

  • Can you save a document in Pages and then upload it to a website?

In other words, can I create a word document in Pages on the iPad and save it somewhere (?) and then go to a site and use its upload feature, ie Browse for a document, and then send it to the site.
(Right now, the "Choose File" button on the site I want to use is grayed out on my iPod Touch)

I have the same need as vudean. I don't understand the security issue. If I type a document using Pages or whatever, why can't I upload the document to a web site? I think Apple should make the standard web "file upload control" available to iPad users.
I understand that there should be some limitations, but it should be possible to upload standard user files. I can upload them to Dropbox, so I don't se the big difference.
Does Apple read this? If not, where can I propose this feature to them?

Can you save your crop/bleed marks as well as your slug when saving your Indeign document as an eps

Let me guess: Your printer asked you to do this, right? Your printer is living in the 1990s and is probably trying to place this in a QuarkXPress file. And I'll suggest you should run, not walk, to find another more modern printer!
But, if you have to do it, you could export as a PDF file (including the marks, bleeds and slug). Then in Acrobat, choose File > Export (Acrobat 9 Pro) or File > Save as > Other Formats > Encapsulated PostScript (Acrobat X Pro).

  • What do I do if I can't save my document in Microsoft Office Word 2011?

I can't save my document, and I don't know what to do. I have tried to save the file in different folders, I have tried to copy all the text and save in a new document, I have tried to save it to an external harddrive and a USB but with no luck. The document is full of equations, and I therefore can't simply send it over to aanother computer via mail etc. Whenever I try to save it doesn't show anything, but the document is still named: 'Document 5'. The little dot in the red circle is still there obv.
No window with the problem is poppin' up and I have no idea what is wrong. I have checked for updates, but none is available. I have 427,82 GB out of 499,25 GB available on my harddrive disc w/e it's called.
    Please help, thanks
btw. the assignment deadline is the 19th of May

    Hi,
I can't directly help you with the Save issue you're having with MS Word. However, since your deadline is 19th May for your assignment, the priority is to get it sent before the deadline. Have you tried saving the document as a .pdf? If not, do the following:
With the document open, from the menubar select File->Print
In the Print dialogue box click PDF drop down menu (bottom left of the Print dialogue window)
    Select Save as PDF
Has the document been saved as a PDF?

  • I can't save *new* documents back to SharePoint

I can’t save *new* documents back to SharePoint. We have a SharePoint 2013 development environment, running on Windows Server 2012 and a Windows 7 Client Computer with Office 2010.
Every time I click „new document“, SharePoint opens the corresponding template file in the client application (Word, Excel,…) So far, so good. When i select „Save“, the client application brings up a local save path on the client computer, not the SharePoint
    document library.
I did some research and tried many approaches, but none of them worked.
I installed the Desktop Experience Feature on the Windows Server 2012, added the server address to trusted sites, gave the user farm-administrator rights (to make sure it is no security problem) and switched the authentication mode for the web application.
Does anyone know this problem and found a solution?

    Hi,
For troubleshooting your issue, you can try to add a registry value to your local registry (on a machine with Office Applications installed through which you are accessing SharePoint sites):
Click Start, type regedit in the Start Search box, and then press ENTER.
Locate and then click the following registry subkey:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\WebClient\Parameters
On the Edit menu, point to New, and then click Multi-String Value.
Type AuthForwardServerList, and then press ENTER.
On the Edit menu, click Modify.
In the Value data box, type the URL of the server that hosts the Web share, and then click OK.
Note You can also type a list of URLs in the Value data box. For more information, see the "Sample URL list" section in this article.
    Exit Registry Editor.

Help please I can't save any documents now! Thanks in advance all, it is truly appreciated. how can find the hidden temporary files using the terminal what do i type in?

It's more likely a failed Erase Free Space, which creates a huge temporary file; that's why it looks like you have no more available drive space. You can recover from this. See these links

  • I just had my old operating system reinstalled, and i can't save pages documents, don't know how to install word

i just had my old operating system reinstalled after a breakdown, and now i can't save pages documents. i don't know how to install word.

    What was your old system?
    What is your new System?
    What version of Pages?
    How did you install it?
I don't know if you can see what's on my screen, but I definitely can't see what's on yours.
To Install Word, buy it and follow the instructions.

  • How to close a frozen warning: I am unable to close the "charicter boarders aren't supported and were removed" warning on my pages. Untill warning is closed I can not save my document. How can I get my document saved?

I have an unsaved document open in pages but can not save it because the, "charicter boarders aren't supported and were removed" warning is open and I can not close the warning. How can i get the warning to close so I can save my document? Can I save the document without closing the warning?

Probably not, but as you will have been unable to make any changes to the document with that warning window open, you're not going to lose anything by quitting (or force quitting) without saving. You'll still have the original document you were trying to import.
I would suggest attempting to open the document in one of the open source Office applications, LibreOffice, Apache OpenOffice, or NeoOffice, each available for download from the linked sites. Once open there, remove the attributes that are causing the warning, save the file (as an MS Word document), then try opening that version in Pages.

    Barry

  • Can't Save Word documents

Suddenly I can't save Word documents or even exit Word without using force quit. How can I correct this

Then you have an iMac Intel, not a PPC.    Now, since you haven't installed a security update, and you are sure you haven't the only reason the documents may not save is that the installation was not good.   Be sure first your data is backed up.  Try to run the installer for Office inside the Installer folder, and to be doubly certain, download the latest Office v.X patch.  If it still doesn't work, you may want to try an Office alternative such as NeoOffice, OpenOffice, Google Docs, or Zoho Writer.
