Can you set a Cost Rate Table to be used for an entire project

In earlier versions of project, the default cost rate table (A) is used unless changed by the user for each assignment. In 2010, is it possible to define which cost rate table to use for the entire project, not at the assignment level?

I assume you want project to have a default cost rate, so why not set the cost rate details into A to begin with, You could then set this as a template from which you initiate all your new projects see FAQ

I really like the feature but I don't like the fact that organiser should pay for everyone's purchases? Can it be set up to keep payments separate and just share the content?

It's not a question of having an out of control family. Our kids work for their pocket money - which they can choose to spend on iTunes if they like. They have had their own accounts for some time now, linked to their own bank accounts - and they buy their own things with the money that they have earned. As an extra, if they are given an iTunes voucher for a birthday present or something, they load it onto their own account, but this is by no means the only way that they buy things.
Doesn't feel out of control to me.
Now it's suggested that we need to pay for everything they want, rather than them? Not for me thanks. But it's a shame that by choosing to keep this set up, we are losing the ability to share purchases, in the same way that we would when buying a hard copy CD, book or magazine.
Surely most families have a similar set up once the children are old enough to have their own bank accounts? Or am I so very very old fashioned?

How can I set Internet Explorer document mode to be used for Outlook folder web sites?

I'm using an application that creates an overview of all our outlook calendars into a HTML web site which is displayed via a MS Exchange public folder - using the folder web site feature.
With a recent update of this application I'm getting scripting errors that are caused by the document mode which is active in Outlook (IE7 mode).
Even when using the following meta tag:
<meta http-equiv='X-UA-Compatible' content='IE=edge'>
to force IE into the most current rendering mode it still uses IE 7 mode.
Is there any way to fix this?

Do you mean MapiFolder WebView?
MapiFolder WebView is the folder property but there is no settings or relevancy properties to control it to open any of IE mode in Outlook client. Thus, I think we cannot use Meta tag to force the page to open with a specific IE mode.
Not sure which exact application you are using here, but it happens right after a recent update, you probably need to check with the support of the application for support.

You actually can as most routers come with a web interface that lets you tinker with all things with regard to set up and connection.
You have to choose though as there are other routers that would require you to plug-it in to a computer first, as they have a desktop application to make way for easier set-up.
But for everything else, it is done through a web client which is just like accessing any web site.

Efficiently Updating Resource Cost Rate Tables

Is it possible in version (server) 2010 to update resources' cost rates tables in bulk? I.e., we would like edit the resource profile for a set of resources... e.g., edit table A, B, and C with a common rate (and effective date). Is this possible
without VBA?

Our company has developed a VBA app that does this and bit more. It allows you to export and / or import resource data to and from MS Project and Excel, including all the cost rate tables and their effective dates.

Managing Resource Cost Rate Tables in OData

The ProjectData API doesn't expose the cost rate tables for a resource. Is it possible to update Cost Rate "A" and specify effective dates? I don't see this exposed in the API. Only the standard and overtime rates (of "A" which is the
default) are exposed. Anyone know if this simply isn't possible?

link and since the cost rate table is local (in the mpp), you cannot use PSI to update it. On the contrary, standard and overtime rates are enterprise data so exposed.

No, you can only connect to one Home Sharing account at a time. If you want to see the content of the other Mac's library you will have to turn off Home Sharing on the Apple TV and log back in with the other iTunes account.

I was wondering if something like this exists for OS X Lion or greater: you can set a default application to open a type of file, say Safari for all .html files, but can you set a second default application for a file?
I usually open files using command + o or command + down arrow from the Finder and I've often thought how good it would be to hit an alternate keyboard shortcut to open the selected file in a secondary default application.
For example, if I'm making a web page and have the .html selected in the finder I can hit command + o (or command + down arrow) to open it in Safari and if the file isn't open in my editor and is selected in the Finder I can hit, say command + option + o (or command + option + down arrow) to open the .html file in my editor.
Does anyone know if this can be achieved in OS X Lion or greater?

If anyone's interested in a partial solution, I've rigged up the following.
I ended up using an Automator action coupled with Spark to capture a keyboard key combination. Spark: http://www.shadowlab.org/Software/spark
I've used Spark before with good results, and although it's from 2008 it still works on Lion.
I created an Automator action that does two things:
gets the selected Finder items
opens finder items in the text editor I'm using.
I then saved the workflow as an application so that Spark could run it.
I've set up a keyboard shortcut that Spark picks up and calls my Automator workflow. It all seems to work nicely.
So, I've created a specific "open selected file with <text editor>" keyboard shortcut that should do for the time being.

You cannot set a Home Page in Safari but if you save your favorite bookmark to the home screen, you can use that to open the browser on iPhone.
To do this:
Open Safari and open the page you want for the "Home Page".
Tap the "+" at the bottom of the screen and select "Save to Home Screen"
You can then name it whatever you wish and tap Save.
This will create an icon on the home screen that you can tap on to always open Safari to that page.

You could choose None in Preferences > General > New Mail Sound and set up a rule for each account in Preferences > Rules as follows:
If [any/all] of the following conditions are met:

Perform the following actions:
[Play Sound] [Sound]
Problem is, that would cause the sound to be played for junk mail as well — probably not what you want.
