Can you set samples per trigger for sound vi?

Hi,
I've been looking at both Matlab and LabVIEW for acquiring sound through a PC sound card. In Matlab you can change the sampling rate (8000, 11025, etc), the buffer size and the samples per trigger. In LabVIEW I noticed you can only change the first two using the SI VIs. How would I go about changing the samples per trigger?

Hello,
Could you describe your application and what you are trying to trigger? You can look at all the sound VIs in the advanced section of the function pallette and you can click on any VI and get the context help by pressing ctrl H. That will give some information on the way the VIs are set up and the features they include.
Good luck and have a great day!

  • How can you set the max row for a 'open cursor' in a stored proc?

I would like to know how can you set the maximum amount of row returned in a resultset coming from a stored proc?
You can do it via JDBC with cStatement.setMaxRows(10); but it works only for select that you do via JDBC...
I would like the same functionality using open cursor inside a stored proc...
    Thanks...

is "where ROWNUM <= 10" the equivalent of "cStatement.setMaxRows(10);" because the ROWNUM as problem with the ORDER BY clause and the setMaxRows() as no problem...

  • Can you set up a template for live performance in GarageBand for iPad Air?

II'm trying to set up a template for live performance using GarageBand on my iPad Air. Can anyone advise? Thanks.

QuickTime is AppleScript aware and has its own "dictionary". Many scripts and droplets have already been compiled and you can download them from this link:
    http://www.apple.com/applescript/quicktime/
Some need further editing to update them to version 7 features but it's not difficult using the Script Editor app.
Tiger's new Automator app could also be used but its feature set is rather basic. Newer actions are available for download from the Mac OSX Downloads page.

    Hello hopezx,
The 2345 is a fairly passive device that does not actually have a lot built into it other than the signal conditioning. So the actual thing that we need to look at is the DAQ card that you have attached to the 2345.  What you need to check on is the product page on ni.com to see if your device support digital triggering.  If it does, then you can use a digital trigger for your task just like any other.
Please post back if you have any other questions or would like some more details.  If you do post back, please make sure to let us know what other hardware you are using.

  • Can you set disk usage limits for user accounts?

i work in the media department at my college and were trying to set up disk limits for our classes. we have powermacs with 6 class login accounts. we want to limit each account to occupy up to 20gbs of disk space. can this be done? i should add too that we are on a budget.

A UNIX quota system is included with OS X. I have never fooled with it but perhaps this will help:

  • G530 / XP. Playing projects in 44100 Hz makes problem. Can't set sample rate of the sound cart

Hi, I have already instal Sonar on my new Lenovo...
And what i see.... In the soundCart (conexant HD smartAudio 221) no 44100 Hz!
And i can't find something that looks like place to change it.
    How can i do this?
    PS: XP.
    Thanx

The red line indicates the audio must be rendered. This may be caused by several things but your playback settings may be set too high for your system to handle. You may have too many audio tracks for your computer to play in realtime.
Select one of the audio files in the timeline, get properties, not the audio format and sampling rate.
Now got to Sequence>Settings and determine if the settings match your audio settings.
Your online help system can guide you through adjusting your system settings, user settings and sequence settings.

  • Tax codes - can you set up default value for rows and freight? HELP!

Hello - I have two issues with tax codes:
    1. When adding  a sales order if any of the rows do not have a value for "Tax Code"  I will get an error "Row without tax was found".
    - How can I get all rows on my sales orders, documents, etc to default to a specific tax code? Or will users ALWAYS have to enter the tax code?
    2. When addring a sales order with Freight, if the order is added without adding a tax code to the freight I will get an error "Expense with tax was found"
    - How can I get the tax code have a default value? We always use the same tax code, so it is redundant to have to enter this information.
    Any suggestions?

    Hi Jhon,
this is the simplest and best way to make a Tax Code default is Go to
    Answer for Question 1
Administration -> Setup -> Financial ->  Tax -> Tax Code Determination (Click on this)
in that screen you can set a default tax code for both sales as well as Purchase.
If you want to set Tax Code based on Vendors or Customers or Items separately then you can use the Key Fields.
    Answer for Question 2
Once you enter the Tax Code in the freight i think it takes the Tax Code itself, I'm not so sure about this one though.
    Hope this helps you out
    regards,
    Shreyas

  • Can you set up mail server for 2 domains?

we have emails using 2 different domains. The first domain has the mail set up on mac server and is running fine. We would now like to add our second email domain to this server as well. Can we do this?

Hmm.  Good to know.  However, it sounds a little intimidating.  I guess it is not a tool you can just launch like Server Admin Tools with a nice-looking user-interface, right?  Even though I've installed and ran Windows SBS 2003 since 2003 and just setup a Mac Mini Server, I am not that comfortable when it comes to terminal-level commands, port mapping this, port mapping that, X11, Xcode, etc.  Is there a step-by-step configuration guide out there that you are aware?  I'll start to look around.

  • Can you set a max size for a folder on a file server

I've got a G5 Xserve that I'm using as a file server running 10.3.9. I need more space on my array so I bought bigger drives and will move the data to the new, larger array.
For the health of my drives, I want my array to maintain at least 10% free space so I would like for the people using the shares to only see 90% of the larger space. (I don't want to have to be the 'drive space' policeman 6 months from now when the RAID fills up again)
I know I could create 2 partitions in diskutil but I'd like something more dynamic.
Ideally I'd like to put my shared folders inside of a main folder and tell Server to only display 90% of the size of the partition when a folder from the partition is mounted remotely. That way people won't know there is a quota which keeps them from trying to copy data into a share that shows 10% free space.
The shares are used by both macs and PCs so I'd rather not go with a solution based upon network protocol.
    Many Thanks,
    Paul
    G5 Xserve   Mac OS X (10.3.9)

There's no way I'm aware of to artificially display a different capacity/available space than what's actually there. If it's a 1TB volume, it's a 1TB volume and the OS isn't going to report that as 900GB.
The only other solutions I can think of is to either enable quotas which will let you restrict the amount of disk space any user can consume, or attach a folder action to the volume where the script automatically checks the volume size whenever new files are added and takes action at the appropriate time (you need to define what that action is, though).

  • Can you set a distinct ringtone for an incoming number?

We have a client with a UC560. There is a sip-based call box on extension 321 that can unlock a door. We want the calls to come a specific 7962 handset that sits next to a screen that shows a security camera pointed at that door. We would like the call box to have a different ringtone from all the other calls that come into the 7962 so that the ladies know to look at the camera before picking up the phone (which would unlock the door). Is there a way to assign a unique ringtone to an internal extension?
    Thanks!!

    7962:
button 1: ext300  <---- used as primary line
button 2: ext301  <---- used only for opening door.
The normal calls will go to extension 300.  ONLY the callbox will call 301. Therefore when she receives calls on 301 they should only be coming from the callbox. Therefore when you assign a ringtone to that button it will ring differently for calls from the callbox.
EDIT: This may be of help when configuring a different ringtone:

  • Can you set textRolloverColor and textSelectedColor for a DataGrid via styleFunction?

Ok so I have a DataGrid with a default row text color set. I use the styleFunction to change the text color of a row if a certain condition is met by returning the new color. However, I would also like the textRolloverColor and textSelectedColor for said rows to change as well based on these same conditions. Is there any way to do this? Any help is much appreciated.

I tried using setStyle but that didn't seem to work. However, I was able to add textSelectedColor to the object being returned to the row and that worked.
return {color:0xFFAE00, textSelectedColor:0xa59999}; <-- This sucessfully sets the selected text color of the rows that meet the condition
Unfortunatly many of the other data grid styles don't seem to work with this method, specifially one of the other ones I need, textRolloverColor. Basically I need the text to be set to the same color on those specific rows as they are when you select them.
return {color:0xFFAE00, textSelectedColor:0xa59999, textRolloverColor:0xa59999:}; <-- The rollover text color is not set.
    Any ideas? Thanks.

  • How can you set a Firmware Password for Intel Macs?

PPC macs can use the Open Firmware Password utility to protect the computer from someone booting of another drive to access your data http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=106482
How can this same protection be accomplished with Intel-Macs? Intel Macs use a different fireware/boot process, so OFP above doesn't work. according to the apple article above, it can be done - but it doesn't explain how:
"Intel-based Macintosh computers can be protected by firmware passwords as well. The firmware in an Intel-based computer uses Extended Firmware Interface (EFI) technology"

    all I get is...
    Your Firmware is too old.
The firmware on your machine is too old for Open Firmware Password to function. You will need 4.1.7 or later to use this application. Please visit the Apple website to get the latest firmware update for your system.

A Ringtone as a notification sound?
If you check your silent switch on the left side of the device is the Red line showing? if so flip the switch to where it is not.
If not then try changing your notification to like doorbell, then change it back.
If that doesnt fix it try going to Settings>General>Reset>Reset network settings.
