After I finish reading a book I am wondering if I can pass it to someone else who has an iPad. Can you share books

They can't be shared no, they are tied to your iTunes account - so unless the other person has access to your account they won't be able to download the ibook.
I'm not sure whether ebook stores (e.g. Kindle etc) allow you to share their ebooks

A bit confused. Are you saying your friends are using your itunes on your laptop to buy apps and that you are then syncing them to your iphone?

There are many apps that allow reading PDFs. GoodReader allows downloading some items. It all depends upon how the site handles the download. It also uses file sharing in iTunes.
iBooks also reads and had file sharing.

Apple will only refund you if there is a problem with the app. i.e., works incorrectly, crashed, or doesn't download. But not simply because you don't like it.

You cant sync with your friends computer and your own at the same time. This prevents you from downloading your friends books/music from your friend so you cant "steal" from Apple.
To work around it just sign into her apple ID on your iPad and download them straight from the iPad instead of syncing it. That will allow you to sync with your own computer without erasing them.

Can you have Firefox and IE browsers both at the same time and if so, do you have the choice of choosing one for a default browser?

I am using IE Explorer now presently. I want to be able to download and install the SEO Blogger tool from Wordtracker but it says that I have to have Firefox as the browser. Since I have everything else already set up under IE, I don't want to have to change all that just so I can download one program.

You can have both browsers installed and running at the same time. You can also choose what one to have as the default browser.

On a PC? Apple's iBooks cannot even be read on a Mac!!! They are only for iOS devices.
If you wish to read books on your PC, get the Kindle app for PC, and purchase books from the Kindle Store. Kindle books can be used on a PC, a Mac, an iPad, etc.

I was talking about attempting to download the Tones off of your iTunes App on the iPhone itself.
Other users have said, while using iTunes, they have Unchecked Sync Tones, then synced the device. Then they go back and Check Sync Tones (to enable) and then sync the device and it's worked.
Try this and see if it works.

Have you tried restarting or resetting your iPad?
Restart iPad: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the red slider appears. Slide your finger across the slider to turn off iPad. To turn iPad back on, press and hold the Sleep/Wake until the Apple logo appears.
Reset iPad: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Ignore the "Slide to power off".

Right now I have 2 PATA drives hooked up to the board. Is it possible to hook up a SATA drive that will be a non-boot drive for just storage purposes?

You can havepata disks + Sata, with sata as boot or not, you just need to update the Hard disk boot order in advanced bios settings.
