Can you still buy Tiger?

I want to upgrade to Tiger on a PowerBook G4 so it will be running the same system as other computers in the house. Can I still buy Tiger? All I can find in the Apple Store online is Leopard, and I don't want Leopard.

You need to buy it from a 3rd party, and it's expensive ($150-200), unfortunately.
Here's one example:

There are cheaper ones, I'm sure. You could try eBay/Craigslist. But, be careful! Be sure you are buying authentic retail discs - they will be black with the X. They will NOT be gray - those discs only work with the specific model and build they shipped with.
Hope this helps...

  • Can you still buy a macbook pro with snow leopard?

can you still purchase a new macbook with snow leopard?

No.  However, some used and refurbished Mac shops still have MacBook Pros with a warranty sold with them*:
    http://www.macmaps.com/usedrefurbished.html
And yes, they are Snow Leopard compatible.  July 20, 2011 is the cutoff date.   So be sure the model predates that vintage.

  • Can you still buy Mac book pro 2010

Hey all, I have been seriouly thinking of buying Mac Book Pro 2010 model (one with Nvidia GPU in it)  I almost bought one few months back, but I couldn't get monthly payment option in Bestbuy.. And I ened up buy Asus laptop lol. As my old desktop cpu was getting old. Anywho.. I use to use Mac long ago in Highschool and they have come a long way since system 7.
I have always wanted a Mac, Tired of mircsoft Bs and all virus/spyware and other crap. Just couldn't afford one.
But hopefully that will be soon.
I have been checking on-line and reading the reviews of the new Mac Book Pro 2011 models. I also notice they are now using ATI/Amd video GPU in then. Most people are not liking them,  Being that I am gamer, I do want decent laptop with atlest half decent video card.  I have read a lot reviews on older Mac book pro's wih Nvida gpu. I myself like Nvidia over Ati.
Anywho i hope I can still get one before they are gone. My Question is...
I love new i7 Cpu in my Asus has 8 cores in it.. Runs at 1.73 ghz & Boost upto 2.9 Ghz.. (intel core i7 740QM cpu )
I'd love get that same Cpu in Mac book Pro with decent Nvida gpu...
Can I still order or buy Macbook pro with Intel i7 cpu and still have Nvidia Gpu. Even though most Mac stores/ other computer stores that sell Mac have 2011 version with Crapy Ati Cards in then?
Or once they gone, They gone? If I can order one, I just dont want miss out on good laptop.
If anybody knows. Please get back to me, So know if I should be concerned or not. Thank you very much
    -Chester

Actaully No...They aren't as good or as fast as Nvidia 330M Gpu..

The older MacBook pro with Nvida Gpu has more memory Bus width.
Faster memory speed and shader speed..
Yes new macbook have faster 4 Core, i7 in them. Where 2010 only
    had 2 cores for i5 and i7..
Check your stats for yourself... the new Ati is also only 64 Bit memory..
Thats going create alot bottlenecks and lag..
If I want to play say.. Portal 2, or Starcraft 2. I'm sure it would lag on ATI card..
My current Asus i7 1.73 ghz  has better ATI Card then curent 2011 MBP.

  • Can you still buy the new iPad(3generation)

I'm going to USA(i'm from sweden) in a couple of days and I flying home 1 november and Ipad 4 generation are relesed 2 november, so I wonder if I can still buy the third ipad now?

Again, you'll just have to call the stores and ask. The 3rd-generation iPad has been discontinued, so it will depend completely on a dealer having remaining stock. If not, then the iPad 2 will be the only model available for a while. You can also try your local Swedish dealers.
    Regards.

  • Can you still buy photshop without a monthly plan?

I was wondering if you are still able to buy Adobe Photoshop without having to begin a monthly/weekly payment plan and maybe purchase it at a total cost.

Only the old CS6 version, which will never get any of the new features, just bug fixes and maintenance updates for newer versions of the OS.
$700 for the Standard versions, or $1,000 for the Extended version.
    You can buy it here:

  • Can you still buy Robohelp 8?

I am currently using RH8 and won't have time to upgrade all of my projects to RH9 until after we complete our spring s/w release at the end of May. In the meantime, we just hired a new writer and I need to purchase a new copy of Robohelp. I wanted to get RH8, but when I looked at the Adobe store, it appears that you can only purchase RH9, which won't work for us. Does anyone know how we can get a new copy of RH8?
    Thanks!

Adobe certainly won't sell it but you may be able to find a reseller that still has RH8.

I want to buy my father a new mini for the holidays. He does not want the Nano because it is too small. Is anywhere still selling the mini, not refurbished and not out of stock. If so, I would appreciate finding out. It seems that every site has refurbished ones and I am a little aprehensive of getting a refurbished one for quality issues. Thanks.

    Edit: The are refurbished, though.

  • Can you still buy the Zen Micro spiceal edti

    with the free accsosris?:smileyindifferent:

    Guys,
    Keep this on topic please.
    dor7,
It will depend on the store, but a lot of them will have the newer sets instead, that aren't limited edition. If that's the version you're after, then it's best to call stores in your area to see which ones they have.

  • Can I still buy a Ipad2 in the apple store or only online

Within 3 weeks I'm leaving for a holiday to the USA and want to buy there a Ipad2.
Can I still buy one in the Apple Stores or do I need to order a Ipad2 online and then pick it up in the store near where I stay?
Because if You look online at the store they still selling/can order the Ipad2.

    Hi,
It sounds as if you'll be on a great trip! The west coast is beautiful!
First, to answer your important question, I called the Apple store in Seattle. The woman said, "Of course you can use a credit card from the Netherlands (and I'm pretty sure from any country) in any Apple store."
And you do not need a US address. That's only for buying and/or repairing via US mail. Because of each country's sanctions, Apple cannot ship internationally. That's why for on-line buys, you must use a US credit card and prove it's going to a US address.
Also, before traveling, you might look into your credit card company's policy on exchange rate. For example, if you buy an ipad on a given day at a given rate, your credit card might not charge you the rate at which you bought it. They might charge you the rate that it is on the day you are billed (billing date - that once a month date.) You might want to read up on it if you're not aware and get correct info directly from your card company. Or check out new ones, if necessary. I'm sure you know the euro to US dollar rate is in your favor. But be careful where you exchange money - no airports or hotels.
And it seems as if you've settled on an ipad 2 16 gb, your original plan. Great. When you said different sizes did you mean different space like 32 gb and 64 gb? If so, it's great that you'll have a choice.
The woman I spoke with said there was only one Apple store in Seattle and it is not in the center of the city (it's near the Univ. of Washington,)  but you'll have a car, though, so it shouldn't be a problem. She did suggest, though that you might want to wait until you get to Portland because the tax in Seattle WA is 9.5% but there is no sales tax in Portland OR. That means with tax, in Seattle you'll pay $436.91 but in Portland you'll pay only $399.00 and save $37.91. That might or might not matter to you.
This is a little off topic, but if you are into photography and are using a camera (actually also any smart phone though you'll never get the quality a point and shoot or a dslr will give you) then you might want to consider buying a camera connection kit at the Apple store for $29.00. Whatever you take pictures with you can then put on your ipad. You'll see them better and can email them home/facebook if you like. If you do that, please read up before you go on how the camera connection kit works, and how you have to name pictures to go onto the ipad camera roll, etc. As a matter of fact, if you're near an Apple store at home, you might want to go in and ask for help. Of course, in Seattle, they can help you set up your ipad and explain anything you need to know.
Great that you have your Apple ID. You'll also need your password...
Have a wonderful trip! The scenery is beautiful and you're traveling to some beautiful and fun places. It sounds as if you are well traveled internationally and know much of the info I added, but just in case...
If you have any questions about Apple in the US, you can let me know and I'll be happy to speak directly with an Apple store rep in Seattle and then get back to you.
    Hope this helps.
