Can you still purchase lion

I have an old 2007 white macbook, still going strong, but thanks to a genius at apple who told me to use it to make a back up of my Macbook Pro running Maverick, I have lost things like mail iPhoto etc etc. you can see the apps but they cannot be opened or used ?
I have tried Cmd 6 and re-install from the internet, but it keeps telling me to try later?
Is this still available or does it no longer work. Although my white macbook has a 500gb sata installed (yes I upgraded) everyone tells me I cannot upgrade to Maverick?

Upgrading to Lion
If your computer does not meet the requirements to install Mavericks, it may still meet the requirements to install Lion.
You can purchase Lion at the Online Apple Store. The cost is $19.99 (as it was before) plus tax. It's a download. You will get an email containing a redemption code that you then use at the Mac App Store to download Lion. Save a copy of that installer to your Downloads folder because the installer deletes itself at the end of the installation.

           or Xeon processor
       2. 2GB of memory
       3. OS X v10.6.6 or later (v10.6.8 recommended)

Can you still purchase videos with itunes 6??

Like everyone else I downloaded itunes7, at first I got all error messages, and missing files. I spent 3 hrs. on the phone with Apple technicians and they had me download itunes7 and quicktime separately. Now I can at least open itunes, but that is about it. Itunes played audio but no video, but I went in and disabled the 3D from my video, now the videos play but are fuzzy and freeze. I have a 60GB ipod which I am afraid to sync with my computer. Does that mean if connect my ipod to my computer for synching, that will screw up my ipod?? I tried to uninstall itunes7 and its components and load the itunes cd that came with my ipod itunes 6.01 but it wouldn't work. In my itunes library it doesn't list videos anymore. Only TV shows, music and podcasts? Where did the video listing go? My 60GB ipod was recently purchased with an extended warranty, do you think if I return it and purchase a 80GB with the itunes cd and install that, it might work better? Can you still purchase videos if I manage to somehow get back itunes6?? The Apple technician said they would get back to me but of course they haven't. One last thing, I can finally connect to the itunes store but when I preview a video it freezes.

While I haven't tried, I would image the answer is no.
Usually when iPods are released with a new iTunes version, they aren't made to be/are made not to be compatible with previous iTunes versions.
It may work, but I can't be sure either way (someone else may have tested this).
In the past, even if iTunes updated the iPod, there tended to be problems syncing.

Can you still install Lion?

Have a 2007 iMac, running Snow Leopard. Tend to stay a gen behind, so legacy software stays compatible. I know Rosetta has been dropped from OSX 10.7, but don't think it'll be a big problem - just checked w/ Roaring Apps and most of my programs (iLife, Adobe CS 4, etc.) are in the green for Lion (not Mountain Lion). Hoping to get a new computer next year, which will mean going to Mountain Lion anyway. Can I still find/install Lion (10.7)? Will it run on my 5-year old iMac? Or am I just better off waiting until I can update computers, Creative Suite, etc. all at once?

I was looking to do a fresh install of Lion on a MBP I bought from Apple in early March, but can't seem to find Lion in the App Store, is it still available?

With the original drive in the system download the Apple Recovery Disk Assistant program then run that program with a 1 or bigger GB USB thumb drive connected to the system.
That program will create a Lion Recovery HD system on the thumb drive that you can boot the computer from and do Disk Utility operations with and then download Lion.

This program only works when there is a Recovery HD partition on the drive. So it has to be done BEFORE you switch the drives.
Also since you bought your system in March, I take it was March 2012, you can also use the Internet Recovery system.
That is where the computer is started, booted, from over the internet to an Online version of the Recovery HD.

Can i still purchase Lion Server 10.7?

I have a Mac Pro that i was planning on converting into a server, but i have found that it is not upgradable to 10.8 and the Lion Server app is no longer available on the app store. Am I out of luck on getting this mac to run the server tools?

Can anyone confirm that this will work? Also if it does, do you then own the image or does it have a time stamped certificate that expires at years end?

Is there anywhere on the net where new/sealed 1st generation iPhones can still be purchased at? I'm really debating on going this route verses the new 3G phone.

The only way to purchase a first generation iPhone new/sealed is from an individual on eBay or elsewhere that happens to have one, which I doubt is likely.

Can you still purchase an education version of CS3

I have an old G5 mac which my work has kindly offered to give to my daughters primary school for the art room. Im wanting to get an education version of CS3 for them but unsure if its available for purchase any more? As its an older Mac i think it only has OSX 10.7? (will have to check) so unfortunately the creative cloud versions wouldnt work.

Thanks Steve, Yes this is what Im worried about, If we have an old version of CS3 which we have used to upgrade to other CS versions, is it possible to transfer the license over, but still keep the license for the more recent CS?

And yes, they are Snow Leopard compatible. July 20, 2011 is the cutoff date. So be sure the model predates that vintage.

An older iTunes will not open the library once used by a newer version.
iTunes 10.6.3 will work with iOS6 as long as the hardware doesn't post-date the release of 10.7 Use iTunes 10.6.3 on both machines.
