Can you stop scrolling in Illustrator CS4?

Hi all.
Just wondering somethig: is there any way to "turn off" the ability to scroll inside of an Illustrator document?
I'm new to CS4 and Snow Leopard, and though I love Apple's magic mouse sensitivity, it's too touchy within Illustrator. Just one accidental touch scrolls the artboard away.
I know that I could turn off the mouse feature in the preferences pane, but is this the only option?
I'm not sure yet if Apple has the solution to this, but I thought I would post it in the Adobe forum first to see if there is any way to get around this. Photoshop, at least, has a stationary page until one zooms in. This would be a good bet for Illustrator, too.

I agree, I love the Magic Mouse too.
But, the sensitivity can throw things a bit out of whack when you are working with some detailed artwork and it slips ever so slightly, but jumps the entire page you are viewing all off the view window.

Did you reinstall after updating to Yoesmite?
If not, you could try to reinstall using the full three step way, and see whether things work.
Uninstall, run the Cleaner Tool, and reinstall.

Can you still Buy CS3 Illustrator

Can you still buy CS3 Illustrator ??? If so does anyone have a recommended site to buy it from??
For those who upgraded from CS2 to CS3 did you see any advantage??
I am looking to upgrade in hopes of correcting several software errors.

No officialy you cant buy CS3 annymore.
But you still can buy CS4 i think and than you have CS5 for free.
And yes CS3, 4 and 5 are way better than CS2. CS2 was the worst CS version there was even CS1 was better than CS2.

When closing a Word doc can you stop 'Do you want to keep this new document?'

Hi,
Everytime I close a Word document I keep getting the save document dialogue box appearing with the text 'Do you want to keep this new document [filename]?You can choose to save your changes, or delete this document immediately. You can’t undo this action.'.
How can you stop this? I just want to be able to open a Word document, view it and close it without the hastle of being asked if I want to save it or delete it.

Hi Pete,
When you open a Word document in Pages, it is converted to Pages format. Pages is asking if you want to save as a Pages document (and replace the Word document). You can stop the Save dialogue box by:
System Preferences > General > Uncheck Ask to keep changes when closing documents.
However, I would be careful. This will apply to all documents that you open in Pages (or Numbers or other apps). You might have a Pages document where you do want a reminder to save. Small problem to say 'Don't Save' to a Word document that you open to view, but don't want to save. I find it is safer to turn on 'Ask to keep changes when closing documents'. That puts you in charge of your work.
Another way to just view a document is to open the document in Preview or TextEdit (right click or control click, Open With).

Try highlighting the tracks in iTunes, right-clicking and Getting Info, then marking them as Part of a compilation.

As has been said, the iPhone itself can't be hacked this way, as far as anyone currently knows.
Your Apple ID is another story. Any kind of online accounts can be hacked, and Apple IDs are no exception. If someone hacks your Apple ID, they could see all the data in the associated iCloud account, such as contacts, and could send those contacts texts that would appear to come from you. If that were to happen, you should see an alert on your other devices that your Apple ID is being used with Messages on a new device.
If you have not seen that alert, it's unlikely that this problem is occurring due to such a hack. In that case, it would be more likely that either someone has gotten their hands on your phone, or some other Apple device registered to your Apple ID, and has used it to send that message. Or that the person claiming you sent a picture is lying for some reason.
If you believe your Apple ID may have been hacked, you should change your password immediately (at appleid.apple.com). You should also seriously consider enabling two-factor authentication on your Apple ID.

Open System Preferences then type scrolling in the search field top right corner of that window.
There may be more than one way to do this for you.
