I am able to stream Netflix video smoothly and without problem to my iPad 1; but I have problems streaming video I purchased and downloaded to my Mac over my iPad. Some other video I have in iTunes streams without a problem. The purchased iTunes video plays for a minute or so and then stops. If I try to start it again, it plays for a few seconds more and stops again. Any suggestions?

Hi guys,
Every time I try and tranfer certain purchased items from iTunes to my first generation iPad I get a pop-up saying that it's not possible.
Now I have no idea what to change or how to change it to get my purchased items to my iPad. Anyone any ideas?

ibooks are tied to your iTunes account and the can't be lent or transferred to other accounts - so unless she has access to your iTunes account then no.

Hi,
We have a relatively small TV set and sit relatively far away from it. Therefore making Netflix choices with Apple TV and remote is difficult, since the print is too small. It would be way easier to make Netflix choices with the iPad on my lap, and have the iPad stream the movie to ATV.
Airplay works well with Apple apps like iTunes & iPhoto, but does it work with non Apple apps? If so, how does one get it to work?

I have both an Apple TV and an Apple Time Machine. Both great devices BUT my internet connection is not great and apparently, the telephone exchange needs to be upgraded in order for it to improve and right now, the phone company has no plans to upgrade the exchange . So, I've bought movies from Apple TV and have downloaded them (using Apple TV) and watched them. They seem to stay on Apple TV for a few days before they need to be downloaded again if I (actually my kids) want to watch the movie again. Problem is, it takes about 15 hours to download a regular movie due to the poor internet connection. My kids don't have that much patience. I know I can download a movie onto my Mac and stream it from there to Apple TV but that means I have to have the Mac available. Since I work at an office and take my MacBook to use at work, it isn't always there for the kids to get their daily Frozen hit. See the issue I face? Apple TV and Apple Tme Machine are great devices. Can they be used in conjunction with one another?

There are two kinds of content, streaming and downloaded. If your show is a streaming show you have to be on the internet to view it. (akin to you not being able to watch youtube videos without being on the net)
Downloaded files can be watched anytime (within the constraints of the DRM of course)

Ok. That's strange. The download should show up immediately in the lower right. Even if it is stuck, you will se the red number. So something is blocking the purchase. Take a look at setting, restrictions, and see if something there is turned on that might be blocking you.

Does the iOS device connect to other networks? If yes that tend to indicate a problem with your network.
Does the iOS device see the network?
Any error messages?
Do other devices now connect?
Did the iOS device connect before?
Try the following to rule out a software problem:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Power off and then back on your router
.- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
- iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
- Wi-Fi: Unable to connect to an 802.11n Wi-Fi network
- iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points
- Restore from backup. See:

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem and it does not connect to any networks make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

If you mean in the notification center then no. The iPad does not have default Weather or Stock Apps that can interact with the Notification center.
You can however download 3rd party Apps that can show you stock and weather in them.

You can if you do not live in Florida, apparently. I called this morning to add AppleCare+ and after giving my info (explaining that the Apple Store is 50 miles (at least) from me, I was going strong until she realized that I live in Florida.
