Can you sync between 2 devices (Iphone4

My son has an IPOD 32GB and has tons of purchased apps and songs.
We just bought him a new IPhone4 8GB
Is there a way to sync both devices together. But obviously we can have every apps on both devices as there is insufficiant memory on his new phone. So the extra apps we want to keep on his IPod.

Hi Aduguay,
Are you syncing the iPod to a computer running iTunes? If so, then simply hook up the new phone, set up the Device Profile for the phone selecting what you want downloaded, and then sync.
If not, then sign the same iCloud account up on the phone, sign in the same Apple ID that the items were purchased under in Settings>iTunes & App Store, and then go into iTunes under More, and either download all the songs, or download the selected songs. Do the same in Apps under Purhcased, and download selected, compatible apps.
Cheers,
GB

  • Can you sync multiple IOS devices to one Mac?

Is it possible to sync, say, both an iPod Touch (or iPhone) AND an iPad to the same user account on one Mac? I assume it must be possible, otherwise what would folks with an iPod/iPhone and an iPad do?
What are the caveats, if any?
How about two different IOS devices associated with the same MobileMe user account? Any issues there?

No problem with any of this at all, including mobile me
You can choose different sync options for each device if you wish, and MobileMe can be set up on multiple devices with no problems, they will all keep in sync with each other.

  • Can you sync thunderbird email between several computers so if you delete an email on one computer in thunderbird it also deletes it out of the other computers.

Can you sync thunderbird email between several computers so if you delete an email on one computer in thunderbird it also deletes it out of the other computers it syncs with? I have three computers I use daily in different location and have thunderbird on each computer. I find it time consuming to have to repeatedly delete the same emails from each location. I am thinking that by leaving the emails on the server and not downloading them in each computer would solve this. Is my assumption here correct? If not? How would you set up Tbird to sync?

If you set up your email account(s) as IMAP instead of POP3, then each computer / smart phone can view the mail, but if any of them delete a message (or move it to another folder on the server), the same action will be seen on the other computers.

  • HT204053 Can you sync pages files on different devices with different apple ids?

Can you sync pages files on different devices with different apple ids?  I have a personal iPad and one given to me for work. They are set up with two different apple IDs.  I do all of my lesson plans in pages.  I want to be able to create plans on both devices, but need to know if there is a way to sync the files without emailing, etc.

No, that's not possible. A better way of working around this than emailing the documents to yourself is to use a third party storage solution such as Dropbox and a webDAV server to upload the documents.

  • HT1386 can you sync to a zen device?

can you sync to a zen device from Itunes or Iphone?

No, you cannot: not with iSync. You must install an up-to-date version of the Palm Desktop, version 4.2.1 revision D or later, in most cases, because iSync requires that the HotSync Manager, Transport Monitor and other bundled processes be present in your configuration to launch, supervise and terminate a synchronization event.
You do not have to use the Palm Desktop, and do not need to have an alias to it in your Dock. Deleting it is generally not a good idea for most users, for a number of reasons.
As an alternative, you can sychronize a Palm OS 4 or later device using the Missing Sync for Palm OS, which installs its own equivalent components to those required by iSync, and in fact, defeats the HotSync Manager and Transport Monitor during installation and configuration.

  • Can you transfer pictures directly from iphone4 to ipad2 without using iTunes and a separate omputer

Can you help me with the question above

You can copy photos taken with the iPhone via the camera connection kit (not sure whether you can also copy photos synced to the iPhone via the kit). Otherwise there are photo transfer apps such as Simple Transfer which can copy photos between iOS devices and/or your computer via your wifi network

    Hey Mark
    I'm Michael and I work for connex.io.
We were also constantly having problems with our address books, so we decided to build our own solution. connex.io is a service that syncs two-ways between all of your devices and services. It also de-duplicates, cleans completes and automatically updates your address books on all of those devices. So whenever you make a change on any of them, it automatically gets changed everywhere. So you only have to connect your address books once, and you will have your contacts always with you. No need to connect your device to your computer or sync manually.
If you want to check it out: www.connex.io or you can send me an e-mail if you would like some more info: [email protected]
I hope this helps you out.
    Michael
I may receive some form of compensation, financial or otherwise, from my recommendation or link.

Can you sync two 4S iPhones to one PC and iTunes account?

No you don't. You log into iTunes with your Apple ID but you can use one Apple ID for iTunes and a different Apple ID for iCloud. On your device go:
Settings > iCloud > Delete Account and sign in with a new Apple ID
This will only change the Apple ID for iCloud and both devices will continue to download apps and backup to the shared iTunes account.

  • Can you sync your iTunes from a iPad straight to a iPod, is there a connecter to do this?

Can you sync iPad to iPod with a connector?

You can't, connecting an iPad to iPod to copy music between them isn't supported. If it's an iPod Touch and it's iTunes puchased music then you may be able to re-download it via the Purchased tab in its iTunes store app, or if you've subscribed to iTunes Match (and uploaded your music to it from your comptuer) then you can use that. Otherwise you will need to sync them via your computer's iTunes
