Can you sync iTunes and photos from AppleTV back to iTunes? HD Crash

I recently had a major HD crash on my MBP and I installed a new HD + Leopard. I have my iTunes library and photos on my AppleTV and I was hoping when I sync iTunes on my MBP with AppleTV that I can get my libary back into iTunes.
Is this possible in some settings trick?
(I'm currently trying DataRescueII to recover files that I hadn't backupped recently including recently purchased iTunes songs).

Unfortunately it isn't that simple, don't try syncing now, leave it disconnected until you know what you want to do. There are ways to recover the date yourself which involve taking the unit apart or other potentially difficult routines. If you are at all in any doubt about doing anything like this and the data on the tv is valuable to you, you might consider taking it to a data recovery specialist that has experience with  equipment.

Can I sync podcasts and ITunesU. from one computer to another that both have the same account.

No.  Time Machine won't get your boot camp partition back.  There are excellent utilities that move entire hard drive contents among hard drives such as SuperDuper! and CCC, but as far as I know they don't work with boot camp partition.  My suggestion: reinstall Mac OSX on your new Mac (you don't want to hold Option key to start it everytime anyway), partition it with boot camp exactly (or similarly) as you did to your previous Mac (install the same operating system, which should be one of the Microsoft Windows I assume).  Use Migration Assistant as kaz-k suggested to move all the stuff on the Mac partition of your previous Mac.  Reboot both your Macs from the boot camp partition - I assume they are all on Windows platform.  Now you have two computers on Windows platform.  Use Norton Ghost or similar tools to migrate all the stuff from your old machine to your new machine.  Hope this helps.  Backup all your data before such operation.  Good luck.

  • Can you sync Itunes with outlook for mac

Can you synce Itunes with Outlook fo MAC 2011?

Not directly. What you do is set Outlook to sync to Apple's databases (Address Book, iCal, etc)  via Outlook's Tools menu -> Sync Services and then you can sync to an IOS device, which is what I presume you mean.
    Regards.

Is it possible to copy music and photos from the Ipad to the Imac without syncing

With content purchased/downloaded from the iTunes store only.
You need to transfer your iTunes library and your photos from your PC to your Mac along with all other important data from your PC that you will want or need to access on your Mac - no different when switching from one computer to another under any circumstances.

  • Can't sync contacts or photos from iPhone to iPad, help!

Can someone help? I just upgraded my friends iTunes and then showed her how to sync the two (she's 70). Trouble is her contact and photos from her phone didn't transfer to her iPad. Wi-if is turned on. I made her an iCloud account and that's turned on, what am I missing?
    Please, can anyone help me?
    Thanks,
    Patty

Use the same iCloud account on the iPhone and the iPad.
The info will sync iPhone <> iCloud <> iPad.
Go to Settings > iCloud and enable everything (Contacts, Calendars, etc.)

  • Once you restore an iphone, can you un restore and get it all back?

Once you restore an iphone, can you un restore and it get it all back?

Once you restore the iPhone, you can choose to load a backup onto it from either iTunes or Settings on the device, but make sure to have a recent backup before performing the restore. If you are asking about a device that is already restored, then no, there is no way to retrieve the prior state of the device unless you have a backup of it.

  • Sync contacts and photos from iPad to iphone

my calendar syncs, but contacts and photos don't, it use to work, then stopped? ipad to iphone

    Hi there 888Sbos,
If I understand correctly you are able to sync your calendar information to both the iPad and the iPhone, but the contacts do not sync to the phone from the iPad. If you are using iCloud to sync your data, I would recommend that you use the iOS section of this article:
    Get help using iCloud Contacts
It starts out pretty basic but just use starting at the beginning and work your way down as needed. If you are syncing contacts to both devices through iTunes using Outlook on a PC, use this article instead:

  • Can you sync the contact template from my MBP to my iPhone?

I have a certain template for my new contacts in my address book on my MBP. Can I sync my iPhone so it has the same template when adding a new contact?

    Hi GREG Obiorah,
Welcome to the Apple Support Communities! I understand you are trying to sync applications from your computer to your iPhone 4 but are continually prompted to authorize the computer. I suggest using the following article to help troubleshoot and resolve this issue. If you are sure you are on the administrator account on the computer and authorizing with the correct account name, removing the SC Info folder may be the resolution for you. Please use the following article for reference.
iTunes repeatedly prompts to authorize computer to play iTunes Store purchases

  • How can I retrieve texts and photos from a lost iPhone without backup?

I recently lost my iPhone at a concert and unfortunately, it was never connected with iCloud, nor was it backed up to iTunes. I got a new iPhone and connected it to iTunes. I have my contacts (taken from my sister's iPhone) and voicemails, but nothing else. I would really like my old text messages and photos, but have no idea what to do in order to get them. Please help! And like I said, backing up will not work, and I tried to use iphonebackupextractor.com also.

Let me get this straight.....You lost your phone.  You never backed it up, either to your computer or to a cloud service.
How in the world would you expect to get data back?

  • Can I transfer music and photos from my 17" PowerBook G4 to a new MacBook Pro?

I am planning to buy a new MacBook Pro in the next couple of weeks. Can I have the "Genius" at the Apple Store transfer my music and pictures from my current PowerBook to the new computer? My current computer is a 17" PowerBook G4, running OS X 10.5.8. Because of the age of my computer and software limitations I have been unable to use iCloud for anything besides my calendar and contacts.

Yes, flash drive would work fine.
If all you care about is music and photos, as you indicated earlier, then you simply need to copy the entire contents of your Music and Pictures folders from the old computer into the Music and Pictures folders on the new computer. A flash drive will work fine as long as it is big enough. If you want to also move over personal files, typically those are in your Documents folder and possibly your Desktop, so don't forgot about those.
If you want to migrate over all your emails, applications, internet and router settings, web browser favorites, bookmarks, preferences, user names and accounts, etc., then you might consider doing the full migration using Setup Assistant upon the very first boot up. Apple will do this for you, for a fee, as will almost any Apple-authorized computer store (also for a fee, but probably for a bit less than Apple would charge). You can actually do this manually, using the external drive or flash drive, and I have done that myself. But you need to know where the files are to do that properly. The Setup Assistant (which is run upon the very first boot up of the new computer) or Migration Assistant (which is run after you have booted into your new computer at least once) make it pretty easy -- the main thing you need to do is hook the computers up with a firewire cable and follow Apple's instructions; or if that is not possible, the next best thing is to make a complete backup of your old computer onto an external drive using Time Machine (or a cloning program like SuperDuper or Carbon Copy Cloner) and migrate from the backup.
