Can you transfer aps from iphone 3 to new iphone 4

Hi i have just purchased a new iphone 4 and an ipad what i would like to know is can i transfer the aps that i have previously brought to the new iphone and the new ipad or do i have to purchase them again?
thanks

If the new phone is registered to the same iTunes account as the old one you can. Just go to the App Stor on the phone, look at Purchase History and download them again. Or sync with the same computer the old one synced to. See: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2109

  • Can you transfer data from iPhone back to your computer hardr drive?

Sadly, due to a computer virus, I had to wipe my computer HD clean. I've reinstalled Windows and most of my software, is there a way I can transfer my photo's from my iPhone back to my computer?
    Thanks!

Photos transferred from your computer to your iPhone via the iTunes sync process is a one way transfer process only. Photos transferred from your computer are optimized for viewing on the iPhone as part of the iTunes sync/transfer process - the original resolution of these photos is reduced, which is why transferring these photos in the opposite direction is not supported.
Since I haven't heard that a Windows virus can be included with a jpeg file, did you include the photos store on your computer's hard drive with your computer's backup along with all other important data before wiping the hard drive due to the virus?
If not, there are 3rd party paid utilities available that provide transferring these photos in the opposite direction, but the original resolution of these photos will be lost.

  • Can you transfer music from iphone to my Xbox360 hard drive?

I need a way to get my iphone/ipod music to my Xbox 360's Hard drive.  I tried plugging the iphone into the xbox via usb.  The iphone charges, but there is no way to transfer any music.  Is there possibly an app to accomplish this?
    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    You cannot.
This is not a feature of iphone at all.

  • How can you transfer photos from iPod Nano to new iMac?

My friend has an ipod nano. Here's a photo, not sure what gen. it is.
He had a PC that no longer works and has no data left on it. His original iPod Photos were stored on that PC that no longer works.
He has since purchased an iMac and is running Lion OS X, all up to date.
The problem: He NO LONGER has the ORIGINAL PHOTOS, only the ones on his iPod Nano, that used to work with his PC, which no longer functions.
He would like to copy the photos stored on his iPod Nano, to his new iMac.
Using finder, he went to Device, then clicked PHOTOS and dragged the folder to his desktop. It said there was 1.43 GB of content.
However, all that was saved to the desktop was (see other photo) Photo Cache, Photo Database and Thumbs. There are no photos at all. What is he doing wrong? Thanks.

There are a number programs out there for recovering photos from an iPod, have a look at the ones below. If you search the internet you can find more. Just be aware that what you'll be recovering will be photos optimised for the iPod so they won't be the same quality as the original full resolution versions:
    iPodPhotoCopy Windows only
    CopyPodPhoto Windows only
Tansee iPod Transfer Photo Windows only
iPod Photo Liberator Mac & Windows
TouchCopy Mac and Windows Versions (iPhone and iPod Touch compatible)
If you have full resolution copies of the photos on the iPod have a look here: Apple Knowledge Base article - Use Disk Mode to copy photos from iPod

  • Can you transfer documents from iPod to a new computer?

If I enable my iPod for disk use and save a Microsoft Word document to it, can I upload that file to a new computer? Or can I only view it on my iPod. I'm asking this because the computer I'm on doesn't have a printer and I need to transfer a paper I wrote to one that does. I'm out of floppy disks so that's not an option. Thanks for any help.

Yes, you can connect the iPod to the other computer and go to My Computer, select the iPod, and copy the file to the new computer.
Know that you cannot view the Microsoft Word file on the iPod.
To eject the iPod once you connect it to this new computer hit the safely remove hardware icon (the one with a green arrow next to the clock) and go to stop ipod device (those may not be the exact words)

  • Can you transfer music from a nano to a ipod touch?

Can you transfer music from the nano to the ipod touch? how?

After connecting your Ipod Touch to the computer and its icon appears in iTunes, you can choose Transfer Purchases from iPod (Ipod Nano) from the File menu.
Or you can right-click (Windows or Mac) or Control-click (Mac only) your Ipod Touch in the iTunes Source list, then choose Transfer Purchases from the shortcut menu that appears.
Please note that this feature only works for items that were purchased on the iTunes Store. Any items imported from audio CDs or acquired from other sources will not copy from your iPod or iPhone to the iTunes library.
    Hope that helps you out.

I misread your post.  You can't transfer items to iTunes without connection to your computer.  To transfer without synching, make sure you don't have your preferences in iTunes set to automatically synch.  Then when you connect your phone but before you synch, in iTunes File>Transfer purchases.  Note that only iTunes purchased media can be transferred this way.
