Can you uninstall additional contents in Logic Pro X?

Hi all
I have just purchased Logic Pro X and after the installation, it asked me if I want to download any additional contents which total is close to 40GB.
I was wondering since that's a lot of space, would I be able to uninstall the sounds later if I don't like them?

The largest folders of files are in Macintosh HD:Library:Application Support:Logic
Drum Kit Designer has around 21G.

Can't download additional content in logic pro 9

I just recently purchased logic pro 9 and wanted to use the indie live kit. i found out that the indie live kit was missing and that all i needed to do was to download the additional content in logic. when i clicked download everything would download but at the end it would say failed to complete download. all i want is the indie live kit so if anyone knows how to do this it would be a big help:)

What version of Logic Pro 9 are you running? I ask because the latest version 9.1.8, has a fix for one version of this issue... that affected some people.. but not all by a long way.
Other than that possibility.. there is another reason found, that can cause this..
Quite a few of these problems with downloading the additional content (once Apple fixed another issue relating to this in 9.1.8 ) have been found to be caused by the user's ISP limiting the max size of any given single file being downloaded.... causing the Download file to 'timeout' or 'end' before downloading was complete. BT in the UK.... and Comcast, Time Warner and Verizon FIOS in the USA have all be reported as placing this limitation on some users accounts.. (and there are probably more ISPs that do this.. to apparently "prevent large download abuse.. " (whatever that might mean??)) and a call to them, asking for the max limit to be raised to at least 8GB has resolved this issue for everyone who has tried,...
Note: It did take a couple of Users... several tries to get through to the 'right' knowledgable support person, to get this issue fixed... normally only after their issue was raised with a Tier 2 tech... as the Tier 1 techs didn't know about the limits imposed on certain users and certain accounts..

The download was actually the successful part! I had no issues with it timing out or anything. My problem was the actual install, after the download was complete. The installer just stopped about a quarter of the way up on "Alternative Kits" and never made it to any of the other kits. I think I'll try installing them one at a time like you said, and see what happens. Hopefully it works!

Alas, poor Logic, I knew him well.
Recording wise, It will be much the same as Garageband but you will need to read manuals as Logic doesn't set things up for you. You must choose input and output devices, create the correct tracks. Logic was designed for professional use so it expects users to be somewhat familiar with recording/editing techniques, in other words, won't hold your hand or be nearly as easy to use.

Can't install some parts of the additional content in Logic Pro X

Hi,
I've tried to install the Piano path and the Stereo Drum Kits from the additional content for more than a few times now without any luck. Every time the download is completed and the installation process begins I get an error message after a short time saying: "Logic Pro X was not able to complete the download". Note that this is after the download is completed. All the other downloads I've made from the additional content works great and I've got lots of space on the hard drive. What do you guys think I should do? Starting over with the download again and again doesn't seem to do the job.

How to download additional content for Logic Pro 9

Hey everyone,
I have just purchased Logic Pro 9 and I was downloading all of the Jam Packs available. However, I downloaded most of the Jam Packs until I was forced to restart my computer. Now, I have three Jam Packs left that have not downloaded and I was wondering how do I get back to the screen that tells me which ones I have yet to download? I have searched through the application and have yet to find it. Can someone please help me out?

What can you guys tell me about Logic Pro

I've seen the features for the express version just the thought is looked limited so I think im pretty much convinced to purchase logic pro. Does anyone have anything I can listen to thats been made off Logic Pro? I've heard one producer on soundclick.com using Logic Pro but alot of people on soundclick.com don't know how to make something sound good and what not. (Im not too good with it myself)

You can't upgrade QuickTime 10 to pro (yet). Can you uninstall 10 and install QuickTime 7 in OSX 10.6.8 so it can be upgraded to pro?

You could, but why bother? QT X and QT 7 Pro can both simultaneously co-exist under Snow Leopard OS. Simply install QT 7.6.6 for OS 10.6.3 and later which is available HERE.

Since logic express is discontinued, can i get the updates from logic pro for free?

logic pro was recently priced at 199, effectively replacing logic express. it seems as though apple should allow logic express users to get the additional functionality of logic pro withought buying the entire product again.

@Blueberry - lol I wonder if you'll sing the same tune if they discontinue logic pro and then force you to buy "logic studio" for $500 (current price 2012). See this guy's comment on the product page of the online store:

I had to do this as there is no version of LP9 that works properly in any operating system after SL.
OS 10.6.8 + Logic 9.1.6/7 is the most stable combo that will run on intel based Mac. Trust me.. I tried the rest. I would prefer to go back to logic pro 7 but once again No reverse compatibility.
Hopefully the 2software developers... Yes two... still working on logic will at least make it stable again so we can finish our mixes and move to another software manufacturer.

I download additional content, install, but after, open a box saying "you need to download additional content". i alread install 10 times, and i can't use additional content.

Check the Additional Content Dialog Window to check all the content truly has been downloaded.. If not, check the stuff that hasn't downloaded and try again... following the tips in this User Tip..

Yes. ⌥⌘-drag an insert to any other slot and it will be copied (with the same settings). ⌘-drag it and it will be moved only.

If you still have the receipt or other proof of purchase, you can ask Apple to send you the serial. Otherwise, bad luck mate.. Good news is, you can now buy Logic Pro 9 from App Store for just 199 USD

Where Can I download another copy of Logic Pro 9 for reinstallation?

Where can I download a copy of Logic Pro 9 so that I can reinstall it. I'm having so many problems with Logic I can not use it since I loaded Maverick. I tried to go to the App Store and then to Purchases and download it from there, but the message I got back was: "This Product is not available in US store."
Is there something that I am doing wrong?

You must sign in to the App Store application using the same Apple ID you used to purchase the AppStore version of Logic Pro 9 in the first place.
Then go to the Purchase tab and you will find it there.....
If you get such a message, when you click the download/install button on the far right of the LP9 entry under the purchase tab... sign out of the App Store within the Mac App Store aplication.. and sign back in again.. You probably missed signing one of the new Terms and Coditions... or you need to sign into a different server which happens automatically once you sign out and sign in again, from the App Store...
