Are you referring to an equivalent to the Windows Character Map Application (charmap.exe) that allowed you to see the various characters available in each font, and then give you an ALT-nnn number you could key to use the character you wanted ?
If so you can use the Special Characters from the Edit menu of most applications. Once you have located the character/symbol you want double click it and it will be entered wherever you cursor is located in your application.

From your Apple menu at the left end of the menubar, select "About this Mac." You get a window similar to this:
1) The Mac OS version is just under the big "MAC OS X" line. Post what that says.

Yes logon to each computers itunes and away you go.
To redownload on each itunes got to the itunes store, select Purhased from the quick links section and navigate to what you want to redownload.
If you want to do it for apps that run on the Macs not on the iPad you need to login to the Mac AppStore and login with the same apple id and download apps that work on macs

Ipod Touch 5 - Can you use same docking station as Ipod 4?

I am thinking of pre-ordering the new Ipod 5 touch for my son to replace his Ipod 4 touch. But I am wondering if any of the accessories he already has he will stil be able to use including his docking station. I know the 5 is larger so he will need new cases etc but I am hoping his docking station will still be okay?

The 5th Gen iPod touch has the new lightning connector, so in short, without an adapter it wont work with 30 pin dock connector cables and accessories.

Did you get a charger with the iPad 3?
Could be the charger or cable. Plug the USB cable into your computer. It may say "Not Charging", however, it is charging slowly and will verify that the cable is good.

You don't need to split the files. Create a Maxl with parameters and then call it in a bat file.
In the bat you can then check for Error.

I need to get an ethernet connection to a slingbox next to my airport express. My airport express is currently configured as a client that connects wirelessly to my netgear router that connects to my cable modem. I can play itunes on any computer to the airport express.

Yes.
Provided you have the appropriate ports and cables, that is. Some monitors do not have all vga, dvi-i, dvi-d, hdmi, etc. ports, and it can be misleading that all those technologies appear to be compatible via conversion cables (they aren't all meant to be compatible, so look it up on the internet before buying).

We just got a few new MacBook Pro's and when I went to install updates it said I need to make an Apple ID.
