I currently have Windows 7 installed on my Mac Mini. Could I use the same install disk to make a new partition on an iMac that I will be getting? If not, is there a way to transfer over the partition, without copying the Mac partition as well?

Windows 7 can only be installed on one computer at a time.

Yes.
OEM just means that the Windows OS is dedicated to that computer only. If you sell, replace or throw away the computer you use it on, the Windows CD/DVD goes along with it. (According to the Licensing dialog)
Just do a Yahoo/Google search for prices is the only way to find it cheaper. Or keep an eye on your favorite web store for sales.
If you are in college and have an .edu e-mail account thru the college then Microsoft has it for about $30 US. And other deals also.

My Macbook can't read my Windows 7 Home Premium OEM SB disc.

So, I got the Windows 7 Home Premium OEM System Builder Pack today, but my Macbook won't read it. It's a Macbook from 2010 with a 64 bit processor, as the DVD requires.
I can hear it trying to boot the DVD up about 5 times before it gives up and spits it out again.

maybe the dvd is damaged so the dvdreader can't read it?

Time Machine will back up the Mac OS X partition to the Time Capsule, but cannot back up the Windows one. This is the same with a regular external drive.

I am using a windows 7 home premium desktop 64 bit

At present I am using a HP pavilion Elite desktop PC, windows 7 64 bit, I am not sure if I should upgrade this or just buy a new windows 8, I purchased a windows 8 Notebook for my spouse but found it lacking in that it does not come with media center or Lightscribe, or Microsoft works that I use a lot.
What would be involved to upgrade this PC or would it be easier just to buy a new one, and can I get the features I like installed on a new computer.Any suggestions would be appreciated ,thanks.

There are no Windows 8 driver on the web support portal in the driver download section for your Pavilion Elite HPE-150f desktop PC. That should be a prime consideration in the upgrade or replace decision. Your current system is fine, but given the fact that it is from the 2009 models, for safety of data and your peace of mind, I recommend upgrading it within a year. Four to five years for a home PC is a reasonable product lifecycle expectation. After that It may or may not run as expected. It would be also a good idea to save your photos to an external disk. If you buy a new PC with Windows 8 Pro as the operating system, then Media Center is included in the purchase.
The media center upgrade for the notebook running Windows 8 is relatively inexpensive, but not free. You can download and use the Microsoft Office 2013 starter version for free. It is the replacement for Microsoft Works.

Where to Get The Windows 7 Home Premium .iso File for Pre installed OEM of Windows

Hi Everyone, Need help here, please..Here is the situation, i want to upgrade my current pre-installed OS (Win 7 x64) Home premium in my laptop HP ENVY 4-1013tx Notebook PC to Windows 10. I'ts fine in the beginning until it shut down because of heat problem. When i try to turn it on, BSOD appeared. I've try to run in safe mode with have no luck, the same BSOD still appeared.I decided to recover it but no OS was detected in recovery mode. I browsed for many forums and they said that my HDD got bad sector so I remove my hdd from the laptop and attached it on my PC and run chkdsk but didn't solve the problem (chkdsk error : an unexpected error occured).So the last thing I've done was to format the HDD and install a clean Windows 10 and can not activate it without the product key. Can you use a Windows-only printer over a print server?

I recently found a large format printer from Ricoh that has great reviews and prints postscript with laser speed/economy with some new inkjet technology only they have - perfect for a home design office and a LOT cheaper than a typical tabloid laser.
Problem is, it's only compatible with Windows systems...
Someone told me it's possible to get a print server to link my Airport Extreme networked Powerbook G4 to this incompatible printer but i haven't seen any print servers that have a Ricoh print driver listed in their specs. Am I out of luck or could it still work with some kind of generic driver or something? Thanks in advance for any guidance you can offer.

Print servers don't use a driver. The protocols that communicate with them are standard protocols handled by the OS (Windows, OS X, linux).
If the Ricoh is a postscript printer, it's only compatible with Windows systems isn't quite right. Any postscript level II or III printer is compatible with OS X. The problem may be that the plugins used by OS X's print dialog (Copies & pages menu options) for special features like alternate paper tray may not be provided, so you'll have access to fewer features.
But you say it's an inkjet technology printer - most of those aren't postscript printers, and that Does Require a driver for OS X.
The only other option I can think of is a Windows computer set up to be postscript RIP/printer server:

Next semester I am planning on taking Intro to Computer Arts and I am thinking of purchasing CS4 for my home computer so I can do assignments at home - I also love photography so I plan to use it for that as well. The problem is I have a windows based computer, and my school computer is Mac. Will I be able to create a file in windows and view it on a Mac computer?

I thought Mac computers saved their files in a different format
It was not a "different format," per se, but a bit-order within the format. As John points out, that was a long time ago.
Now, here are some thoughts on the transfer of the files:
One can use external HDD's to move the files around. Note that image files can be pretty large. On most current PC's the HDD format is NTSF, instead of the older FAT-32. Unless it has changed, the Mac OS will want to see the older FAT-32 format for the external. Most come with that format from the mfgr. With image files, this is usually not an issue, because they are less than the ~4GB file size limit of FAT-32. Video files can be a whole different issue.
Most Mac OS's will have no problems with PC-formatted externals. It is not always the same thing going the other direction. My PC's have always been able to "mount" Mac discs. In the old days, I used one of several utilities to accomplish this. Now, it is less of an issue, but if you need to "mount" a Mac-formatted external and cannot, you might want to get MacDrive. Do not recall the price, but it's pretty cheap and effective. One caveat, should you go with MacDrive: upon installation, it will load one of its modules into the StartUp section of your MSCONFIG. Normally, this will just load and be transparent. However, if you get a DVD, that has both Mac and PC versions of programs on it, all of a sudden, your PC will only see the Mac versions, and not see the PC versions. The trick here is to use the included MSCONFIG (from the Start>Run) to NOT load that MacDrive module at StartUp. MacDrive will still work fine, when you launch it, but now your PC will see both versions of programs/files on those dual-platform DVD's.
Again, you might not even need this, but it is an option.
Were I you, I'd pick up an external HDD, with probably a FireWire connection, leave it formatted in FAT-32, and use it transport my image files between home and school.
Maybe one of the Mac-users can confirm whether the FAT-32 is still necessary on current Mac OS's.
One last consideration will be the calibration of your PC's monitor to the settings of your lab's Mac displays. Since the school will not let you adjust the Mac that you're working on, you'll want to calibrate your PC to match the lab machines. Otherwise, you will be doing things like density/gamma correction and color correction on one machine, only to have it look horrible on the other.

You should run a Genuine diagnostic and then post your results in the
Windows Genuine Forums. There may be a very easy technical fix to get you running again. Please read the directions below first:
