Can you use the iPad while charging
Are you able to use your iPad 2 while it is being charged
yep.
now if you're trying to charge off the USB of a computer, it'll say 'not charging' even though it does - just slowly enough to say 'not charging'. And there may not be much charging as you use it. Your only limit is the distance of your plugin from where you want to be.

Does anyone else have problems with the lightening to USB cables, particularly the longer version, when using the iPad and charging at the same time?
If so, am I doing anything wrong? Not using any mouse pad, I have a very smooth desktop. But I just tried to use a sheet of A4 printing paper, but no result, the problem persisted.
Someone on this forum suggested, that USB3 may interfere with the magic mouse.
I have 2 LaCie HDD's about 70 cm away from the mouse, I use them on Thunderbolt. But in operation or not - the result is the same, the mouse plays up! Just now I was clicking the desktop and the mouse created a new folder!!
Thanks for the advice, Bee

Can I use the IPad adapter/charger to charge my iphone
My wife and I have been using the same Apple adapter/charger to charge our iphone & ipad.
I decided today to purchase another aso we can each have our own.
When I went to the apple store I was told that I should purchase an IPad Adapter as it used 10 watts.
When I got home I checked and found that I've been using the 10w to charge my wife's iphone successfully.
Should I return the adapter I have just bought & get an iphone adapter or can the ipad charger be used for both.
thanksThe iPad adapter can be used to charge the iPhone.

Can you use the data while NOT on the EDGE network?
I am wondering if when I travel through SD and ND I will be able to use my data (email, web, maps...etc.) I am in Minneapolis on the EDGE network, but I'm concerned that in Sioux Falls, SD no a GPRS network I won't be able to use 1/2 the functions on my phone.
Before release the rumor was that it would work, but has anyone actually tried it yet?So essentially you're asking... if there's no Wi-Fi or EDGE coverage will you be able to use the data network features of the phone?
In short... from my experience the answer appears to be "no, it won't work." Allow me to elaborate:
I disabled Wi-Fi access and found an EDGE dead spot where the phone could not connect to the EDGE data network but I could place a phone call. When I attempted to launch Mail and sync, I got a message saying that my IMAP server could not be reached. When attempted to launch a website, I received an error message stating that the server could not be reached.
End result, I was unable to use any of the data network features of the phone. So it would appear... that the answer is no. It will not use the basic GPRS undearlining network. However it's quite possible that your results may vary. -
HT1476 Can I use my iPad 3 charger to charge my iphone5, since it fits?
I misplaced my iphone 5 charger. Can I use the ipad 3 charger (small port) that fits the iphone 5 to charge it?
Welcome to Apple Support Communities
The iPhone 5 and the 4th generation iPad use the same charger port, Lightning, so you can use the 4th generation iPad charger with the iPhone 5.
However, the 3rd generation iPad has got a 30-pin Dock, so as you said it has the small port, I suppose you have a 4th generation iPad -
Can you use the same charging cable for both an iPhone and an IPad or are they different? When I use the charging cable for my iPhone on my Ipad, it doesn't charge.
The quickest way (and really the only way) to charge your iPad is with the included 10W USB Power Adapter. iPad will also charge, although more slowly, when attached to a computer with a high-power USB port (many recent Mac computers) or with an iPhone Power Adapter (5W). When attached to a computer via a standard USB port (most PCs or older Mac computers) iPad will charge very slowly (but iPad indicates not charging). Make sure your computer is on while charging iPad via USB. If iPad is connected to a computer that’s turned off or is in sleep or standby mode, the iPad battery will continue to drain.
Apple recommends that once a month you let the iPad fully discharge & then recharge to 100%.
How to Calibrate Your Mac, iPhone, or iPad Battery
http://www.macblend.com/how-to-calibrate-your-mac-iphone-or-ipad-battery/
At this link http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/galaxy-tab-android-tablet,3014-11.html , tests show that the iPad 2 battery (25 watt-hours) will charge to 90% in 3 hours 1 minute. It will charge to 100% in 4 hours 2 minutes. The new iPad has a larger capacity battery (42 watt-hours), so using the 10W charger will obviously take longer. If you are using your iPad while charging, it will take even longer. It's best to turn your new iPad OFF and charge over night.
