Can you use WAEs for conns going over IPSEC?

Question: Can you place WAEs and optimize traffic and then place over IPSEC? Has anyone done this and have you experienced sufficient optimization? I'm picturing some in-line module WAEs between enddevices and IPSEC routers and wanted to know if I could expect typical optimization performance.
Thanks! Mike.

Mike,
Are planning to deploying the WAE's in the traffic prior before/after IPSec encryption occurs? If so, you should be fine.

On the Mac to save a picture from a web page <CTRL> click on the picture then choose Save Image As... and save it onto the desktop. Once you have collected all your pictures onto the desktop open iPhoto and Import all the images into an iPhoto Album. Quit iPhoto.
Open iMovie, then go to the Toolbar along the right side of the iMovie window and click on the camera icon to browse through your iPhoto Library. Find your pictures then drag them into the Project Browser window.

  • Can you use pages for OS on IPad offline?

Can you use the pages app on the IPad offline?

If you have Pages on more than one device and have iCloud set to sync Pages your documents will appear on all devices. You need a Wi-Fi or cellular connection for the sync to happen. But one the document is on a device you do not need to be connected to the internet to open or edit the documents.
One thing you do need to be carful about if you have Pages on two devices, like an iPad and iPhone, is that things might get confused if you are offline and make different edits to the same document on each device,

  • Can you use a Windows-only printer over a print server?

I recently found a large format printer from Ricoh that has great reviews and prints postscript with laser speed/economy with some new inkjet technology only they have - perfect for a home design office and a LOT cheaper than a typical tabloid laser.
Problem is, it's only compatible with Windows systems...
Someone told me it's possible to get a print server to link my Airport Extreme networked Powerbook G4 to this incompatible printer but i haven't seen any print servers that have a Ricoh print driver listed in their specs. Am I out of luck or could it still work with some kind of generic driver or something? Thanks in advance for any guidance you can offer.
Printer is the Ricoh Aficio G7500

Print servers don't use a driver. The protocols that communicate with them are standard protocols handled by the OS (Windows, OS X, linux).
If the Ricoh is a postscript printer, it's only compatible with Windows systems isn't quite right. Any postscript level II or III printer is compatible with OS X. The problem may be that the plugins used by OS X's print dialog (Copies & pages menu options) for special features like alternate paper tray may not be provided, so you'll have access to fewer features.
But you say it's an inkjet technology printer - most of those aren't postscript printers, and that Does Require a driver for OS X.
The only other option I can think of is a Windows computer set up to be postscript RIP/printer server:

  • Can you use Airport for internet and Gigabit Ethernet for file sharing?

i would like to complicate my network setup by using my Airport connection to the internet for internet access and then use the Gigabit Ethernet connection between my G5 tower and the MacBook Pro for file sharing, Compressor's distributed rendering, and possibly iTunes music/video sharing for Front Row.
is this possible? could i just run a cat 6 cable between the two and network them together? or do i need to get a Gigabit Switch?
i suppose i could just try running the cable between them and see what happens. i don't think these new machines require cross-over cables since the ethernet ports auto-detect that now, but is a cat 5e or cat 6 cable required for Gigabit speed?
    thanks,
    scott
    PowerMac G5 2.5GHz   Mac OS X (10.4.5)

Yes it would work. The Ethernet network would be used for local file transfers and the Airport for internet. However you will need to make sure Ethernet is at the top of the list of network ports in the Network Preferences.

    @vinashar,
I would recommend 3rd party apps such as Line or Skype for video calls ... As for future plans to implement video calls in the Lenovo dialer, I am not sure.

  • Can you install flash for me thru my computer

Can you install flash for me going thru my computer ? [email protected]

Well this could happen for any number of reasons.
It's a workaround, but you could try the download in this
    link
    http://www.adobe.com/support/flash/downloads.html
Technically that's the update for the Flash authoring tool,
but if you unzip it then you'll have a full players folder that you
can install. If you're stuck after that point then open a support
    case.
Flash Player technical support is available via webcase only
    at:
    http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/
There is no phone support for Flash Player.

Can you use the same charging cable for both an iPhone and an IPad or are they different?  When I use the charging cable for my iPhone on my Ipad, it doesn't charge.

The quickest way (and really the only way) to charge your iPad is with the included 10W USB Power Adapter. iPad will also charge, although more slowly, when attached to a computer with a high-power USB port (many recent Mac computers) or with an iPhone Power Adapter (5W). When attached to a computer via a standard USB port (most PCs or older Mac computers) iPad will charge very slowly (but iPad indicates not charging). Make sure your computer is on while charging iPad via USB. If iPad is connected to a computer that’s turned off or is in sleep or standby mode, the iPad battery will continue to drain.
Apple recommends that once a month you let the iPad fully discharge & then recharge to 100%.
How to Calibrate Your Mac, iPhone, or iPad Battery
    http://www.macblend.com/how-to-calibrate-your-mac-iphone-or-ipad-battery/
At this link http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/galaxy-tab-android-tablet,3014-11.html , tests show that the iPad 2 battery (25 watt-hours) will charge to 90% in 3 hours 1 minute. It will charge to 100% in 4 hours 2 minutes. The new iPad has a larger capacity battery (42 watt-hours), so using the 10W charger will obviously take longer. If you are using your iPad while charging, it will take even longer. It's best to turn your new iPad OFF and charge over night. • Can you use the same Apple ID on more than one MacBook Pro for updates and applications?

We just got a few new MacBook Pro's and when I went to install updates it said I need to make an Apple ID.  Can you use the same Apple ID and email address for that Apple ID on multiple machines, or do I need them both to be unique per machine?  I'm not sure how that works when you have multiple machines.

An Apple ID is a user name you use for everything you do with Apple. Creating an account for an Apple service, such as the iTunes Store or the App Store, creates an Apple ID. Apple ID allows you to access other Apple services.   So you can use the same Apple ID for up to 10 Macs associated with it.
To create an Apple ID you need to enter  your full name and your primary email address as your Apple ID. This will be used as the contact email address for your account.
