Can you work on the same iweb page on 2 different computers?

hi, i usually work on my imac doing my iweb pages, i would like to work on a second ibook that is in the house. i've tried and tried but can't find a way for the ibook one to pick up the pages. it has the same .mac idisk folder as the other mac with the iweb backup but won't start up with the iweb pages, the iweb starts up blank asking for its first page.
is there a way?

Chuck thanks, I found I can do it from that post, all you need to do is copy the iweb main folder to a USB mini, then I replace the iWeb folder in the next machine... it works great, you just have to remember to update it when you leave one machine and add the update to the next.

Yes. Are you referring to pages in the same site or separate sites?
For separate sites the shared site would need to be it in its own domain.site2 file. Then follow the directions in this MacWorld online article: Managing an iWeb site from multiple Macs
The important caveat to this is that both of you cannot work on the site at the same time and plenty of time must pass between one of you finishing their work and the other starting up. It's just the nature of the beast. Otherwise you would have to pass the domain.sites2 file/package back and forth between your two Macs.
If your two Macs are connected together on the same LAN you could place the domain file on an external HD attached to one of the Macs so both would have access to the same file. Again, both of you could not work on the site at the same time.
The other sites would then be in a separate domain file.
If you're referring to pages in the same site it can be done by having the jointly managed pages in one site and your pages in a separate site and her pages in a separate site.
Then in the joint site add blank pages representing your pages and her pages. In each blank page put the following code in an HTML snippet:

On each of your sites you would add blank pages representing the joint page and each other pages with the same redirect code.
Now you can edit and change your pages at any time, publish as she can also with her pages. For the joint pages you will have to use one of the methods I described above for separate site.

Is it possible to work on the same files/catalog from two different computers?

My wife and I are photographers and work on two separate iMacs. We just purchased an NAS and would like to know if we can both access the same files AND the Lightroom catalog from our respective computers. All of the files are on the NAS but I can't figure out how to get her computer to recognize the catalog. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Another option, since you already have the nas, is to get something like "Synchronize! Pro X",and use the nas to transfer the catalog back and forth. You don't have to USB the catalog, just transfer it to the nas each time you are done, and before you start...
Of course, I think both solutions are based on you not editing at the same time... i.e., both of you are making changes, as neither approach will work for that!

I have hard time digesting your concern.. I have 4 Different instance of oracle running on sun 2.8.
8.0.5, 8.1.7, 9.i rel 1, 9i rel 2. No issues there...
The simple things is to check is you .profile ( env variables)
Example ...
Check you .profile or .cshrc ( Depends on the SHELL You are using )
Let say you have .profile
THERE IS SETTING SUCH AS...
ORACLE_SID
ORACLE_HOME
LD_LIBRARY_PATH
PATH
etc..
You could try the following..
log into to you sun box..
do echo $ORACLE_SID this will give you current SID YOU have available to work with..
so lets say if you have a 8i SID CALLED orcl8i
example assume you have .cshrc
setenv ORACLE_SID oracl8i
setenv ORACLE_HOME /oracle8i_HOME_PATH...
setenv LD_LIBRARY_PATH /oracle8i_HOME_PATH//lib: etc..
etc...
then
you could validate by doing echo..
echo $ORACLE_HOME
echo $ORACLE_SID
now try svrmgrl
this should work..
as far as 9i you no longer have svrmgrl..
you have to apply the above method and log into the sqlplus.

How can I edit the same iWeb site on 2 different Macs? I know we create a folder with the files, but when copying that to Mac2, iWeb on Mac2 doesn't see that folder - I can't see what the linkage is between the app's interface and the folder of site files....

The answer is Domain.sites (extension hidden by default). You'll find this on the Mac you used to create the site at Users/YourUserName/Library/Application Support/iWeb. Copy that file to removable media and drag it to the same location on the other Mac. Launch iWeb and you'll see the site structure in the Site Organizer.
Once you keep the Domain package in sync between the two machines everything will work smoothly no matter which you use. There's a neat tip here which may help in this respect, but you use whatever strategy you prefer:

I have an iMac, and iPhone. I've had my Apple ID for a few years.
My wife got an iPhone 4S a few months back and the salesperson at Verizon set her Apple ID the same as mine, but gave her a different password. I don't know if this was ok, but that is what happened.
So, yesterday, we both upgraded to IOS6 and I had no problem logging in to my iPhone with my Apple ID. When my wife went to log in, she was told that she was entering the wrong password. We entered the password over and over again and still was wrong.
The question is... can two people share the same Apple ID on two different iPhones and maintain different passwords? (I have the feeling her iPhone is thinking that since it's my Apple ID, it wants my password.)
If not, can I still set up a new Apple ID for her even through she's had the iPhone for a few months?

You shold follow your feelings, its probably right most of the time.
You can have 5 different devices hucked upp to one Apple ID. What I have done is that my wife and I have one Apple ID, when I bye a new app on my phone, She gets it to. Thats nice.
You can allways set upp a new Apple ID for your wife.

Cloud isn't showing the same number of apps on different computers

I have two computers. A Windows 7 64-bit desktop and Windows XP 32-bit laptop. After logging into Adobe Creative on my desktop and laptop I see different numbers of apps. On my desktop I have access to a wide assortment of apps (screenshot: http://i.imgur.com/IoFsVY7.png ). On my laptop I have access to a fewer number of apps (screenshot: http://i.imgur.com/5CAegdD.png ). The app I am trying to install on my Laptop is Creative Cloud Connection. While this app is available on my desktop, it is not appearing on my laptop. I am using the same Creative Cloud account on both computers. Can someone help me with this?

The system requirements for the various apps in the Cloud vary and the apps available for download depend on your hardware and operating system.
Well-spec'd 64 bit systems (Windows and Mac) will run all apps. Other configurations vary by app.
Some Cloud apps (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Encore and SpeedGrade) are 64 bit only. They will not install or run on 32 bit computers so they will not appear on a 32 bit system as available for download.

I have an old airport that still works, can you use it the same way that one uses an airport express to extend the range of an airport extreme base station?

It would save me a few bucks if I could use an old airport that I have to extend the range of a new airport extreme. My concept would simply be to use the old Airport the same way I would use a newer Airport Express as a slave repeater. Is this doable?

Both the new AirPort Extreme and older AirPort Express will have to be configured using Apple's WDS settings to provide more wireless coverage.
Here are the downsides:
WDS operates only at "g" wireless speeds, so you will lose all of the faster "n" wireless capability of the new AirPort Extreme
WDS cuts the bandwidth on the entire network in half, so you will have a "g" wireless network running at half speed.
WDS is difficult for most users to configure because it is easy to make a mistake and hard to recover without starting all over again
Bottom line......Saving a few bucks will be very costly in terms of performance on your network.

How many calendars can you share with the same iCloud person?

OK Apple people, here is my concern:
I have several calendars in my iCal app. I can share one (home) with my wife but for some reason, I am not able to add her to another calendar that I wish for her to view/edit (work). She does have an iCloud account. The documentation on the Apple web site for iCloud states: " You can share a calendar both publicly and privately with other people. Sharing gives you flexibility in managing calendars. For example, you could create a calendar for your child’s sports team and share it privately with just the coaches so they can edit it. You could also share it publicly with all the parents so they can view (but not change) it whenever they want."
Is there a limit to just how many calendars in the application that one one can send as suggested by the "a"?

So any device could purchase an app/music/whatever, then we would plug it into the main Mac and transfer the purchase to that and then plug in other devices and add to them. Pain the rear! I think my example of tedious process above is one reason for iCloud. So, now with iCloud we should be able to purchase from any device and the other devices would have access without wires. I thought the only way to tie them all together is if they are all under the same AppleID. That is how iCloud knows they are related, right? Makes sense to me. However, on each device, we use their own @me/@mac email account to setup iCloud b/c each email is tied to that family member but under the master Apple ID for our family. Each email account has their own contacts, emails, etc. I thought that was the way to setup. Shouldn’t this work? Kind of separate but yet tied together via the 1 Apple ID. Thoughts?

i have both a phone number in Ecuador and one in the USA when i visit and i want people that write me on my ecuadorian account will be able to write me on my USA phone number too. i assume that since you can push i message to otehr devices you could theoretically do so with two iphone or two iphone lines?

I'm trying to sync 2 ipod touches with my itunes account along with my iphone. On one ipod, when I try to sync up it ghosts out my sync apps. I can purchase apps and they appear in my library but can transfer to ipod. Help!

This is a very odd problem, because it should connect to as many as you want. The problem could be a few things so check these and get back to me
see if iTunes is set to sync apps to that iPod
make sure the iPods are sighed into your apple account
make sure your computer is registered to your apple account
if none of these work, give some more information, the more the better when trouble shooting.
