Can you zoom into a ibook image?

Hi, is it possible to zoom into an image that is already full screen -- so that you can check out details in the photo?
It seems to expand up with my fingers on my iPad, however, as soon as I let go of the image, it returns to full size,
so I am not able to zoom in on parts of the image.  Is there a way to create images that appear in my ibook that are zoomable?
Thanks,
jkropp

The OP stated that "if I drop my image into a widget, like gallery, I still can't get the image to zoom up...."
As far as I know, gallery images are allowed to be larger precisely so that zooming in is possible without loss of quality.
....so what is your point about telling the OP that he isn't using a widget, when the OP explicitly stated that he is?
Michi.

  • Zoom into high resolution image

    Hi,
Before starting to learn Muse, I've one big need: zooming into high-resolution images.
I want to show how high the resolution is by letting the viewer zoom in with a loupe (or just scrolling with mouse wheel). I'm not talking about of a slideshow through some crops of the main image, but of an shrink- or grow effect of the image.
    Is this possible to achieve?
    Thanks for your insight,
    Dominique

Could this be the solution, you are looking for?

  • Can i zoom into a picture and save the picture at  that view, can i zoom into a picture and save the picture at  that view

Can I zoom into a picture and save it at that close up view?

The simple answer is, "Yes".  Use Aperture's crop tool to create a Version that shows only the part you want to be visible.
Instructions on using the Crop tool are here.
If that isn't what you want, post back.

  • How many photos can you load into Organizer and Editor

How many photos can you load into Organizer and Editor at one time.  I receive the error message, "Unable to Import Files", which says "You exceeded number of files that can be selecteed and imported at once...."  What is the number?  Secondly is there a way around this for either the Organizer or Editor to work on thousands of photos at the same time?
    Thanks

I have never heard of this particular limit before.
Please understand, this appears to be the limit you can import into the Organizer at one time -- you can have as many photos as you want in the Organizer; but apparently you have to import in batches rather than all at once.
I don't think it applies to the editor; and I can't imagine wanting to have more then a few files in the editor at any one time ... even if you could open 2000 photos in the editor at once, what sense would that make?

can you add hyperlinks to the images in the slideshow created

Unfortunately, those slideshows aren't all that flexible. I
    don't think
that Adobe supplies the source for the Flash slideshows. But
    if you use
the spry slideshow, you should be able to edit the HTML in
    Dreamweaver to
    add links.
Have a look at one of Project Seven's graphics presentation
    products -
Lightshow Magic, Slide Show Magic or Image Gallery Magic.
    They're $95
each, and extremely flexible in what you can do with them.

Nope, you can only zoom to take still pictures. Zooming with the iPhone's video camera is not supported. However, in iMovie you can zoom in on your video.

  • Menu creation area not precise enough - can you zoom in??

I'm working on a very specific menu layout that involves me placing shape buttons along a very thin line, but it is almost impossible to see if they are lining up correctly because they are so small. The menu window area doesnt get any bigger when you try to scale it up, and I can not find any type of zoom function or button. Is there a way to zoom into the menu area, like it were a photoshop file or something?? thanks so much

As you have probably discovered, there is no way within DVDSP to zoom in as you want to. The option is to create the menu images using Photoshop - the menu editor in DVDSP is only ever going to be a blunt tool for any precise graphical work - but then it isn't a graphics editor!
Seriously, use Photoshop to construct the background and highlight layer, and use DVDSP to set up buttons and navigation.

  • Zooming into videoclips and image

Hi I am trying to zoom into a recorded clip but I have problems doing so. Can some suggest a solution? Also can I am interested to zoom in an image. Is the method for zooming into video clips and still picture the same?

*It's been working perfectly... I don't understand why it isn't now—why it needs handles now?*
Because up till now, because of where you've placed in's and out's on the clips, you've had handles.
It's not about the length of the clip. It's about having material available for the transition.
Look at Nick Holmes diagram in this post.

  • Can you 'zoom' the audio waveform in the timeline?

Unable to find a solution in the help or the FAQ, so I'll post my first question here :-)
I would like to vertically zoom into the audio waveform in the timeline. My situation is that I have a 24-bit audio mix of a classical concert with a fairly large dynamic range, i.e. very loud bits and very quiet bits in one single audio file. I don't see enough waveform detail in the quiet parts, even when I enlarge the track vertically. I haven't found an official way of zooming in, at least in the timeline. The audio-waveform-only display in the source monitor does offer a vertical zoom.
The official help only offers this:
"To see more volume detail when viewing an audio waveform in a Timeline panel, increase the track height."
Which seems to imply that 'zooming' in further to bring out the really quiet parts is not a feature.
I found a bit of a workaround, which is to adjust the clip gain -- the audio waveform changes accordingly. However I'd prefer not to be changing the audio volume every time I need a different vertical zoom on the waveform.
    Thanks,
    3p

While you can't zoom and the vertical adjustment is limited (which sucks because you can zoom in Audition)` there are still a few more options that might help increase the vertical size of the tracks window.
First, to adjust the vertical space of each track in the timeline place your selection tool over the line between the tracks over on the left side of the track where audio controls are and drag the track bottom up or down. You can also increase the workspace of the timeline by dragging it up using the same technique, or if you have another monitor put the timeline over there and make it much bigger.
Second, use the tilde key to expand the entire timeline window. It's the key to the left of #1 key at the top left. Hit it again to return. It will expand any window that is selected. I use this one to get a better look at the waveform. You can also drag the tracks to make them larger.
    good luck!

  • Can you provide 9i & 9iAS iso image files for download next time?

    I've download 9i & 9iAS for Linux,
and I've burned them into CDs.
When I tried to install 9i from mounted CD, it failed,
I've tried several times(waste lots of CDs), but none of them working.
There's nothing I can do about it except install it from extracted files.
can you Oracle guys provide an iso images for public download?
since people can create CDs or simply install them from a mounted iso image on Linux if they don't like.
    Thanks

You would shift click each file to select them

  • HT4505 can you scan 4x6 photos using Image Capture that will actually scan as a 4x6 photo. I have to crop the photo once it is scanned

Can you scan multiple 4x6 photos using image Capture that will actually scan as a 4x6 photo? I seem to have to crop each photo once it is scanned.

    How long is a string?
The answer depends on a large number of variables
Cropping removes the area cropped off so the pixel size of a cropped photos is smaller than an upcropped one
With iPhoto you can always revert ot the original so if the new quality is not enough for your use you can go back to the uncropped original
    size - many meanings
DPI - simple - Dots Per Inch - the number of dots (pixels) in a dimension divided by the number of inches of the display(print) - very simple math
Pixels and dots are the same for this discussion
so if a photo is shot in a 3:2 ratio (6x4 is also a 3:2 ratio) then the photo is the shape of a 4x6 photo with no cropping - is a photo shot in a 4:3 ratio is cropped to a 4:6 ratio (which is also a 3:2 ratio) then some information is going to be removed - assuming that you set the cropping frame as large as possible in one direction and only crop two sides then you lose the minimum amount of information
Most iPhoto uses of photos are designed aroung 4:3 photos so in general I would only recommend cropping 4:3 photos if you want to print them in standard print sizes
iPhoto slide shows will work best with 4:3 photos so cropping to 4:6 would be a mistake
