Can zdm7 take/restore an image of a Windows 7 machine?

I know ZDM doesn't support 7, and you need ZCM for the agent running in
windows, however I am wondering if you can make an image of a win 7
computer using ZDM?

Well, you can make one, and if you're lucky even restore it. Don't
expect Win7 to run properly afterwards though. The whole rights system
is totally different since Vista, and will become totally borked.
So the answer: no.

I'll assume you want to create a still to use outside FCPX, not a still frame within FCPX. It's kinda hidden in the "share." Go File/Share/Add Destination. You want "Save Current Frame." After you've created that destination, it'll be there for you in the future under Share.

Can't take pictures with Image Capture - Canon Camera

I can't take pictures using Image Capture using either my Canon Power Shot A710IS or my husband's SD600. I can download pictures with both cameras, but if I switch to shooting mode, Image Capture says "No Image Capture Device Connected." I know it worked with my PowerShot A75, but my *&%$ son broke it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Right now i m doing job and i want to work as a free lancer but i don't have mac machine at my home so i want to know that how can we develop iphone native application on Microsoft windows machine or not?.
One friend is said that it is possible to work on Microsoft windows machine same like mac machine. he didn't tell me because he said that i take $125 for 1 hour so i rejected to pay this money.

You'll need XCode and the iPhone SDK to develop for the iPhone. These only run on Mac OS X, which is only officially supported on Mac hardware. I don't know of any solution to run XCode under any other OS.

I am struck with a know Bug 3092358 "Repeating Job Can Hang In "Started" Status On Multi-Cpu Windows Machine". The Work around is mentioned in Note:307448.1 in metalinks.
In the above doc for the Fix-3 Another option that worked is to try:
Upgraded to EM 9.2.0.6 and applied the Apr05 CPU.
I searched in metalinks to get patch to upgrade EM from 9.2.0.1 to 9.2.0.6. But not able to find can some tell me where can i get this patch.
OS: windows 2003 server
DB:9.2.0.1
OWB :9.2
Pls,do let me know if there any other work arounds,

While I dunno the specifics of NT threads, one way to spread 1 thread across multiple processors is by simply round robining the thread between the processors over time. i.e. Thread A spends 0.5seconds executing on cpu 1, for the next 0.5 s the thread is moved over to cpu2 and executed there, then it is moved back to cpu1 and so on...
I think the Convex SPP used this model, the motivation perhaps being to spread load evenly among all cpus. Made sense in a multi-user multi-cpu system with a real fast bus.

Can't create restore disk image

I want to create a restore disk image of my os x hardrive using disk utility. Everytime I try to create the image it says unable to create disk resource busy. Can anyone help me with this?

first of all: WELCOME TO THE DISCUSSIONS!
How much hard disk space is available? Be aware that MacOS X needs the same amount of hard disk space for a temporary disk image as the final disk image will account for.
You should also create the disk image on a separate drive.

Can we take rman backup image copy to multiple location

Hi All,
We are planing to move database from old storage to new storage on the same server.
planing to use RMAN image copy to copy the db files from old storage to new storage and then switch database to copy.
Currently dbfiles are on /u01, /u02, /u03, /u04 and we are planing to move to new storage /u05, /u06/, /u07
Is there any way that i can copy all the dbfiles to /u05,/u06,/u07
Backup as copy database format '/u05
As i know i can move to single location. Is there any way copy to multiple location using image copy.
Please suggest.

Why can't I restore my iphoto library from Time Machine backup?

Hi, My Library mysteriously disappeared from my HD but I located it in Time Machine. However, every time I try to restore, after spending a while 'preparing to copy' I get a the following message: "The operation can't be completed because you don't have permission to access [file name]. I have full access rights to the file... I have tried doing a straight copy and paste from my back up folder - with the same result. I did close iphoto while trying this exercise, again, this didn't help... I would be grateful for some advice as to how to persuade the system to all me to restore this precious file of 171GB, which has 10 years of pics in it! Many thanks.

or do I have to reload the entire back up? I recently wiped my drive and started from scratch and forgot to back up my address book in the process. I do not want to start over with the entire process if at all possible.

You can use only one drive at a time as a TM backup destination, though you can switch among as many drives as you like. They'll all back up the same set of files, unless you keep changing your exclusion list (which I wouldn't recommend.)

Can't see files burned to CD from windows machine

I'll keep it short.
CDROM burned on a windows PC has files that I want to view on my imac G4. When I put the CD into my mac, there are no files...only folders. If I do "get info" on the folders, they are all at zero KB. If I then take the CD to any windows PC, all of the files are viewable, and the folders show their true sizes. I can then put the files and folders on a USB drive, go back to the imac and see all of my files at that point. This has been tested thee times with the same result every time.
Any ideas?

The problem may be how the CD was formatted. Macs support ISO-9660 better than any other crossplatform format.
Recently Software Architects has improved UDF support on the Mac, though I have yet to test it to see how true their claim is:

Mac Book pro can't access some shared files on a windows machine. Please Help!!!

I have a early 2013 Mac Book Pro running Mac osx 10.8.3. I also have a 2002ish dell desktop. I have file sharing turned on for several drives on the dell and the mac finds and connects to the dell. I can also see the shared hard drives, but when i try to access certian files on the hard drvies the mac said something like you do not have permissions to access this folder. The folder has a little red icon in the corner and in the get info window it said that I have custom access. Also when i try to logon to the dell from the mac using connect as I enter the username for the windows account. There is no pasword so I leave that blank. When i click login it still said in finder that i was logged in as guest. Any help with either problem would be great. I don't know if the problems are linked or what, but any help would be greatly appreciated.

Can I use my iMac screen with a Windows machine?

This is sort of an upside-down question. I need to use a PC in order to access a Windows-only software. My friend has a give-away Dell laptop, but its screen is non-functional. Is there any way to get it to display on my iMac (or MacBookPro) screens?

This can't be done if your PC has a VGA video output and requires a converter if your PC has a DVI video output. VGA is an analog signal and there are no converters to turn it into a digital Display Port (DP) or Mini Display Port (MDP) signal. DVI and HDMI are digital signals (with HDMI having audio and a different physical connector) that can be converted into a DP/MDP signal that the 27" iMac can use, but doing so requires an expensive converter or an even more expensive converter and scaler if you want to get full resolution on the target display. The cheaper but perhaps more complicated alternative is to replace your PC video card with a DP/MDP card after which you should be able to drive the 27" iMac display without any converter. Apple didn't include DVI/HDMI input capability in the 27" iMac because that would have required additional circuitry that would have raised the price substantially.

Can I open Mac InD files on a Windows Machine?

I've found a template by Mike Singleton in the InD Exchange for the Xerox FlipBook Paper. The download is Mac but I need to open it with Win InD (CS4).
If it's possible, what are the steps?

Edit: OK, now I read the first post, too. I've actually downloaded and and opened that template on CS4 in Windows, and it works fine. Not, however, a lot of instruction to go with it. There's a video on the Xerox site you'll want to download and study carefully to help you figure out what goes where.

I can't file share or use printers with Windows XP

Im running Leopard and my PC can detect and search my Macbook just fine but not the other way around. Every time i type in the correct user and password for XP it also gives me a "Connection Failed" message. My printer is shared on XP but i can't find it on the Macbook. Can anyone please help me solve this problem, its been driving me nuts for the past week.

A couple of things to check:
1. On the Windows XP machine, point at, then click My Computer in the Start menu. This opens a window with your disk drives. Point at and right-click the drive you want to share. A property menu will pop up. Click the Sharing tab and set up the sharing policies you want.
2. Point at and then click Control Panel in the Start Menu. This opens a window or drop-down menu. Point at and open Windows Firewall. Check your firewall settings. If your firewall is enabled, check your Windows sharing. Enable sharing; add it to the list of allowed programs, if necessary. You will probably want to highlight sharing, click advanced and set the scope to allow only the addresses of the LAN segment on which your Mac and Windows machine reside.
The steps above should allow your Windows machine to be seen by the Mac.
The other possible complication that can get in the way is if the Windows machine is XP Professional and a member of a domain. When a machine is on a domain, clients that want to access the machine have to vet their credentials with a domain controller. The domain controller looks in its database and returns tickets to the Windows machine and client that allow the transfer data. Once the domain controller has vetted credentials, it is no longer involved until the tickets reach their expiry time limit. When the machines have valid tickets, they talk to each other directly.
I have not joined a Mac to a Windows domain, but a quick check in a terminal window on my MacBook shows the requisite UNIX utilities for doing so are there. I'll leave that question to somebody with more in-depth Mac skills.
If your machines are on a domain it is important to keep the clocks of the machines relatively synchronized. The time stamps on Kerberos tickets have to by default, in Windows, have to match within +/- five minutes.
If your Windows machine is XP Home Edition or default XP Professional, it will not be on a domain and in fact is usually set by the manufacturer to be a member of the default workgroup named, "workgroup." The Mac should be able to access that as long as your Windows firewall is set to allow sharing. For details, open Help on your Mac and search for, "windows domain," or, "windows sharing."
