Canadian Multilingual Keyboard in the USA

Hi there,
Does anyone know if canadian multilingual keyboards are available in the US ? The store proposes US, spanish or french layout, but not the canadian one.
Thanks

I called the U.S. Apple Store 2 separate times at 1-800-MY-APPLE as well as the 5th Avenue NYC Store (and spoke to a store employee).
All 3 Apple employees told me that the French Keyboard available for MacBook Pros on the U.S. Apple Store are French Canadian QWERTY Keyboards. They checked to see if they could order the French (from France) keyboard but it is not possible.
I bought my last MacBook in Paris, France and prefer the French AZERTY keyboard. However, saving 360€/$500 by purchasing a new MBPro in the U.S. is tempting.
Thi3rry, according to the Apple Sales Representatives at the U.S. Store, you should be able to order a French Canadian keyboard (although I do not know if this is the same as a "Canadian Multilingual Keyboard").
You can view the different country specific Apple keyboards here:

super keyword is used when there is inheritance (class extending other class). In your particular case, super keyword doesnt make sense, since there isnt inheritance between A and B. You can use the INT field by an instance of A class.
a keyword like "parent" does not exist in java.

  • SWISS keyboard in the USA stores?

Is it possible to buy in the US stores (online or in NYC) a mac book air 13" 256gb with a SWISS - FR keyboard?

it is not possible to get a german keyboard layout product in the us.
it is not possible to order a german keyboard layout product in germany and deliver it to the us.
solution: it is possible to buy a spanish keyboard layout product (macbook, keyboards, etc.) and the key leyout will be the exact same. only difference is that the umlaut keys have obviously different characters (spanish) on them but if youre used to writing youll never recognize it until you look at the keyboard. all you need to do is to change the layout in the preferences.
tip: to make the alt-gr + Q working as @ sign, correct pipe key, {}, [] and other features, there is keyboard maestro to rewire the keys. if you need my presets let me know. fyi, i have two german layout keyboards in the US but i used my parents to forward them. this might work for keyboard but for actual products the price difference is dollar 1:1 to euro so its 20% cheaper to go with the spanish layout workaround in the US.
also: for refurbished spanish layout products you have to call the apple store hotline, online are only US layouts available.
big HINT for apple: make your keyboard layouts available everywhere. in the US you get spanish, french (awertz?), US and japanse (?!?)... seriously? ***. this is not helpful and its really not a big deal for such a big company, i assume german layout printed keyboards are produced in the same place all the others are produced too. even if it would cost me 20 bucks more it would still beat the currency difference + shipping cost + my parents time.
    thanks.

  • How to order a Macbook Pro with international English keyboard in the USA?

Does anybody know how can I order on the US Apple Online Store a new (2011) Macbook Pro with international English keyboard?
I don't see any possibility for that on the online store's webpage. I tried to contact an expert with the online chat support, but the link does not appears for me.
Thanks for your help in advance!

Call the online store & ask! A sales representative will more than happy supply you with an answer.

  • I am Canadian and take my iPhone to the USA for 6 months in the winter. I can't receive any texts in the USA unless I'm hooked up to Wifi. Can anyone help please!!!

Help, I'm Canadian and have an iPhone 5c. I take my phone to the USA for the winter and can't receive any texts unless I'm connected to wifi. Have tried everything I can think of and nothing works. Can anyone help?  Tried complete reboot, delegating all threads. Turning off iMessage altogether, then I get nothing!

iMessage (the blue bubble) will only come through via a data connection - cellular or wifi. With cellular data turned off, those messages will not come through until you have a wifi connection.
SMS (green bubble) should still come through, but you would need to verify this with your carrier in Canada.

Why won't Apple online accept my canadian credit card when shopping online in the USA? Every other major USA company accepts my CDN card online in the USA???

Because you cannot use a credit card issued in another country.  This is how the system works.  Sorry
I don't think Apple is striving to be just like every other company.

Return it or give it to someone in the U.S., then buy one in Canada when you get home.

No. The US store does not provide anything but US or Spanish (I think) keyboards. You have to order from the UK store to get an English keyboard.
The current options available online are U.S. English, Western Spanish, French or Japanese keyboards. You might try calling 1-800-MYAPPLE to speak to someone. It's possible you might be able to get something else as a BTO option.

  • I bought a unlocked canadian iphone 4s, i am going to me living in the usa can i use my unlocked iphone 4s with sprint?

i am wondering if i can use my unlocked canadian iphone 4s in the states with sprint? can the cdma be unlocked so that any company that uses cdma can support it? or is the gsm the only one that can be unlocked and used with differnt carriers that support gsm?

The ONLY way this could happen would be if the OP returned the phone within the first 30 days of purchase in the original country of purchase, then bought a new one in the US on the Sprint network.

  • Can I buy German Apple keyboard in the US?

I'm learning German and interested in buying the German version of the Apple Aluminum keyboard - MB110D/A. From what I can tell, the US Apple Store only offers US English and Western Spanish. Are there any US retailers that sell the German version of the Apple Aluminum keyboard?

    привет,
super simple: if you are in the USA for any reason, and are not far from the Canadian border, come and visit us Canadians in any large city (Vancouver, Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal), we have plenty of unlocked iPhone 4.
In fact, all our iPhones (starting with the latest 3GS and the iPhone 4 model) are now unlocked. You do have to pay full price, which is no different than the US value at the moment, really. But we have higher taxes (approx. 14-15% depending where).
You should have seen the Americans drive past the border when the iPhone 4 was released here, it was funny. They really do hate the exclusivity with AT&T over there...
Half the lineup on day 1 was a bunch of international and US "visitors" haha
    Best of luck.

  • Canadian French Keyboard Layout

I live in the Quebec Province of Canada and I'm used to a different Keyboard Layout for the "French Canadian" Layout.
When setting up my computer the only choice I have is "Canadian French CSA" with correspond to the "Canadian Multilingual" Layout (see: en.wikipedia.org /wiki/File:KBCanadian_MultilingualStandard.svg)
    I can't find anywhere a real French Canadian Keyboard (see: en.wikipedia.org /wiki/File:KBCanadianFrench.svg)
Anyone have an idea how I can fix that issue? Is there a place where I can download additional Keyboard Layouts or something?
    Thanks

  • HT3562 A lot of people are bilinguals living in the USA. How can I use both English and Cantonese in all the apps

In the USA, there are a lot of bilinguals. Being Chinese and live in the USA, there are millions of people speak both English and Cantonese. There are no way in the OS that I can set it up to recognize both at the same time. I have added the international keyboard of English and Chinese. The default for Chinese Voice command when I switch from English. There is no way in OS that I can link the Chinese input in Keyborad Language to Cantonese. All the default of Keyboard input are link to Madarin.
Apple should make the change in the next OS that can link a keyboard language to different dialect for Chinese Language

My mom who lives in Canada send me an iTunes gift and I can't open it. I live in the USA. Is there a way for me to redeem that gift?

No, all iTunes gifts and gift cards are country-specific - so a Canadian gift can only be redeemed in Canada onto a Canadian iTunes account.
I assume that it's an emailed gift ? She can try resending it to somebody else in Canada : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1541
Or, and if she's been charged, she can try contacting iTunes Support and see if they will refund or credit her : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption

  • I have a Macbook Pro Early 2011 from the USA.  After installing Mavericks, Adobe CS6 crashes whenever it is plugged into a 27inch cinema display I purchased from the apple store in China (We moved to China). It works when not plugged into 27inch display.

I have a Macbook Pro Early 2011 from the USA. It is now running Mavericks.  I connect it to a 27" Cinema Display that I bought in China after we moved to China.  Before I installed Mavericks, I could run all of the Adobe CS6 and Adobe CS5.5 applications on my Macbook Pro while connected to the cinema display. Now that I have Mavericks installed, whenever I am connected to my 27" CInema display my Adobe applications crash upon opening.  I know this is a rare scenario, but does anyone have any ideas how to fix this problem? Is there a new driver that needs installed?  I'd appreciate any help.

I am also having a similar issue. I used Adobe Lightroom and my whole display goes black. Even my laptop screen and the lights on the keyboard go black. I can still hear the fan running, so I assume it is just the display. This is my first Mac and I have had nothing but issues. I think I am going back to Windows after this.
