Cancel a job

Hi experts,
I scheduled a job in job control in lbwe which picks up delta for
every 15 minutes. Its working fine. The job is in released state.
and now i want to cancel that job. For this i went to job
overview->Job->Cancel Job.But i am getting a message as:
Job is not active-cancellation not possible.
Anyone please explain me how to cancel a job.
Full points will be assigned.
Thanks & Regards,
V N.

Hi Srinivas,
Thanks for the reply.
I need some more help.
I have made settings in lbwe to pick up deltas every day in
the midnight and have given scheduling options  in delta info
package to run everyday in the midnight ( to fetch deltas records of that day ).
Is there any need to create process chain in this context ?
Regards,
V N.

And on the laptop the message block asks if I wish to add to printing queue.

  • RFC to cancel background job

I need to cancel a background job from running by using a Remote Function Call.  Can anyone provide an example of an RFC for this?  Ideally, it would cancel all jobs owned by a certain user.

BAPI_XBP_JOB_ABORT wants the JOBCOUNT as well as the JOBNAME.  How can I get the JOBCOUNT?  I don't believe there is a way to capture the ID from the external application kicking off the SAP job.

  • Cannot cancel print job on network B9180

I have a B9180 network connected printer with an IP number. A print job is registered and cannot be printed or cancelled from the computer that created the job. I have cancelled the job on the printer using the X button because it would not cancel from the computer.. The computer has been restarted, but the print job is still registered in the printer cue (Vista 64) for the printer.  I can select the job and select cancel, the printer says it is cancelling, but does not complete the cancel.
I cannot print any new jobs due to the bad job shown in the cue.
Can someone tell me how can I cancel the bad print job and clear the cue on the computer? I have tried everything I know.
    Thanks

  • UNABLE TO CANCEL PRINT JOB THAT KEEPS PRINTING SAME COPIES

How do you cancel print job on a HP Deskjet D1520 with Windows Vista?
    THANKS!

Since this printer does not have a physical "Cancel" button, the easiest way of stopping a document print is to clear the document from the Print Queue.
To remove a document from the print queue manually:
    1. Depending upon your operating system, do one of the following:
    • Windows Vista: On the Windows taskbar, click Start, click Control Panel, and
    then click Printers.
    • Windows XP: On the Windows taskbar, click Start, click Control Panel, and
    then click Printers and Faxes.
    • Windows 2000: On the Windows taskbar, click Start, point to Settings, and
    then click Printers.
    2. Double-click the icon for your product to open the print queue.
    3. On the Printer menu, highlight the document, click Cancel or Purge Print Document,
and then click Yes to confirm.
Now, if the document has already started printing and you want to stop it before it finishes; then simply lift the top access door which will pause printing. Remove the document from the print queue now. If it is no longer in the print queue, then power off the printer. Wait about 30 seconds and power on the printer again. This should have stopped the document from printing.

Hi @TJBar, and welcome to the HP Forums!
I see you're looking into how to cancel your print jobs.  I would like to assist.
When printing, on the front panel of your printer you will see a large red 'X'.  This will allow you to cancel any print jobs by touching the X.

  • Compressor won't cancel batch job

There was some sort of error while compressing a batch of clips. "3x Crash service down" not sure what that means... but anyway trying to cancel the job and it won't cancel it just stays there hung up. I have gone to /var/spool/qmaster and deleted all job folders and restarted compressor but it is still in the que. How can that be? Does anyone have any ideas how I can remedy this problam?

First try going into Compressor and under the Compressor menu chose Reset background processing. You'll get a dialog, choose reset and cancel. If that doesn't work (it should). Restart you computer and open Compressor or the Batch monitor right away. The job will restart and if you cancel right away it will be able to be canceled.

    Hi,
I recently (over this past summer) updated my phone and plan with Verizon.  I'm from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and I got the phone in Pittsburgh.  It is a Droid Eris and very nice.  I got it and a month later I moved to Olympia, Washington for school.  Since moving there, I have hardly been able to use it.  The service is terrible and its been impossible to keep in touch with my family, I wasn't even able to call them over Thanksgiving.  I'm also having to pay extra money so I can use the internet on my phone, but I can't even access the internet let alone make phone calls.  It's really frustrating.  I can't use my phone to keep in touch with everyone in Pittsburgh-and if I am ever in trouble I wouldn't be able to call for help, which makes me really nervous.  Is there a way I can cancel my 2yr contract?  Yes.  Just visit a Verizon store, or dial *611 from your phone and let them know you would like to cancel your account.  Would I have to pay a fee-and how much would that cost? Yes, Verizon no longer waives ETFs due to moving to an area without service, so you will probably have to pay an Early Termination Fee.  Since you have a smartphone, it will probably be $350 less $10 for each month of service you have completed.  The Customer Service rep you contact about cancelling will be able to tell you the exact amount.  Would I have to go to the Verizon store I bought the phone from to do this or would I have to do this in Washington-where I am now living and having the problems? You can do it over the phone, or at a corporate Verizon store.  Help!

  • Compressor 4 won't cancel a job

Ok, geniuses, someone help a brother out!!
Using compressor 4, it won't let me cancel a job.  I have done the usual, and even the extreme:
    1.  Trashed the var/spool compressor subfolder, this doesn't seem to be where compressor 4 stores its temp stuff anymore.
    2.  Done the 'reset background processing' thing with 'reset and cancel all jobs'
    3.  Uninstalled every aspect of FInal Cut Studio AND FCP pro X / Compressor 4 / Motion etc...
The only thing I haven't done is reformat my computer, which I can't do just yet (mid project on some other stuff).
So, does anyone know where Compressor 4 stores its files so I can wipe it clean?
    Thanks!

Do you use the cluster functionality? When i tested with different cluster settings, i ran into the same problem, that every job would get stuck. This didn't happen in a non-cluster environment. If you don't use a cluster, i would suggest to turn off Apple Qmaster Sharing at all. If you do, the problem might be, that your cluster is setup incorrectly because it cannot find any services to render your jobs and sits there forever.
If you want to start from scratch and reset Compressor to its defaults, then you might try to delete the "Apple Qmaster" folder at /Users/[yourusername]/Library/Application Support/ and remove the preferences as well (see /Users/[yourusername]/Library/Preferences/com.apple.compressor... note: there are two files!). But make sure, that no Compressor/Qmaster related service is running. You should kill those processes using Activity Monitor or just restart your machine before deleting the files mentioned above.
Additionally, you might want to check the contents of /Users/[yourusername]/Library/Application Support/Compressor/History/ and remove any file there as well.

  • How to cancel all jobs from printer

We have network printer printing through a server, but some times some user tries to print the job locally instead of using the print server. In this case even if i clear all the jobs from the server the printer job sent to the printer trough tcp/ip  from the users computer remains hanging in the printer. In case the localy printed job is wrong or incompatible it hangs the HP printer with 49.4C02 error and there is no way to track down who sent the wrong job and printer At last the only option remains is to change the printers ip address which resolves the issue or if the user himself cancels the job from his computer. example printer : HP Color LaserJet 4700

    Hi,
From the Desktop, hold down the Windows key and press R.  Into the Run window, type services.msc and hit enter.  Browse down to the print spooler service, right click it and select Properties then click on the Stop button.  Now browse to C:\Windows\System32\Spool\PRINTERS and delete the job inside this folder - You may need to click a prompt to gain the appropriate authority to open the PRINTERS folder.
Restart the computer and you should find the document(s) have been removed.

My printer won't let me cancel a printing job.

Please read this post then provide some details.  What printer model? What operating system? Many printers have a cancel "X" button, for others you will need to cancel the job from the spooler.
