CANCEL Button Not Obvious! I HATE that

I Hate that I just wrote this specific question and accidentally hit the CANCEL BUTTON and POOF! GONE!!
There was NO "Are you sure" to prevent this.
The Cancel button should/could/better WOULD have a cross through it so it is obvious to a tired person!

Problem with sub-screen actions on Cancel button

Hi all,
I have a problem with sub-screen.
I created a subscreen (screen sequence in MM01/MM02/MM03). When users leave this screen, I call POPUP_TO_CONFIRM to ask if they want to save the data.
1) My goal is: when they choose Cancel, no actions are performed and users will see the current screen. However, I cannot use command: SET SCREEN 0 or LEAVE TO SCREEN 0 because the system gives an error message:
*SET SCREEN not allowed in subscreens*.
2) How can we determine when the user leaves the screen? which value of SY-UCOMM will be used to check this?

Cancel button doesn't 'cancel' - or?

This is bound to be a stupid beginners' question, but I have asked stupid questions before and got good and useful answers, so here goes :-)
I have gone through the hands-on workshops, and there's only one thing I can't get to work as described: The cancel button. The scenario is that I start from the 'Browse Customers' page, go to Edit Customers, change the first name and press cancel - I had expected the changes to have been discarded, but they are carried back to the 'Browse Customers' page. Admittedly, in SQLPlus I can see that it isn't in the table, but still... (Commit works fine, BTW). Is there something I need to set/unset somewhere?

Good question - not stupid at all. I'm guessing that you have the Cancel button bound to a navigation case that takes you back to the "Browse Customers" page, correct? That, in and of itself, will actually post the changes to the model and then navigate back. The first thing I would try is setting the "immediate" property to "true" for the cancel button - this will avoid posting the changes to the model.

How to cancel changes in Panels that does not contains a "Cancel button"

I'm new to Mac, and noted that some dialogs does not contains a "Cancel" Button. Is there some "keyboard combination" that can be used to revert any change made? My main concern is about "Preferences Panels" which can suffer a really mess with unfamiliar users walking there.

Thanks you both for the advices. I already have used the Command Shift 3 shortcut to 'backup' my settings, just as safety procedure . The Close button instead doesn't cancel the settings changes. It only closes the window. As an example, try to change the 'Currency' field in 'International' Panel, in 'System Preferences'. You will note that it changes, even closing the window. The lock button is my safeguard, and I turned it on in most panels that I saw, but unfortunately it doesn't exists for every panel. I guess must 'take a shot' of the settings, before testing any changes.
It should be really usefull have a 'Edit / Revert Changes' menu item, for instance.
By the way, does Time Machine backups System Preferences?

How do I create an input box with a cancel button that will end a loop in my script?

I have been working on a script for my client and I am having trouble getting it to work properly. I stole most of the code from the PowerShell Tip of the Week "Creating a Custom Input Box". I also took someone's code for the Show-MessageBox function.
I have slightly modified the original code with two parameters and an additional text box. The first field is for an e-mail address and the second is for an employee number.
I need to know how I can get a Do Until loop to recognize when the cancel button is pushed and break the loop and effectively end the script. The work happens at the end but perhaps I need something added/modified in the InputBox function.
I want the script to check to see if anything has been entered in the second text box. If empty it displays a message and calls the InputBox function again. Then if there is something I use elseif to check to see if it matches my RegEx (digits only). If
it doesn't match it will loop and call the InputBox function again.
This all works fine. The problem I am having is that I cannot cancel out of the form. I'd like the loop to continue until the second box matches my RegEx or Cancel is clicked. Clicking cancel doesn't break the loop. I need to know how I can stop the loop
when cancel is pressed. I've seen Stack "Overflow: PowerShell Cancel Button Stop Script" but I don't think this will work in a loop.
Any help would be awesome. As a note, I DO NOT want to use the VB Interaction stuff.

hp C310 e all in one. I have a print that is stuck in the print queue, cancel does not remove says deleting. I have tried shutting down printer, closing word doc, multiple canel all prints. Any Ideas

Try these steps below to clear the print queue. The steps are listed for Vista and Windows 7 and would be slightly different for XP. If you are using a Mac then the steps below would not work. Please advise what OS you are using.
Option 1)
1. Click on start orb
2. Type in search window: "services.msc" (without the quotes)
3. click ok
4. Scroll down to Printer spooler service and click on it in the right side window.
5. On the left side click stop the service and wait forthe process to stop
(Do not close the window yet. You will have to restart it here later.)
6. next delete the print job in the printer queue
7. then restart the spooler service
8. Resubmit your new print job.
Option 2)
If that doesn't clear it, the next step would be to stop the spooler
service as stated above
Go into windows explorer
(Print job data is collected and stored in a spool file in the spooler
folder.)
It is located in:
C:\WINDOWS\system32\spool\PRINTERS
Your print job will show 2 files there Example below:
00002.SHD
00002.SPL
Delete the files located in there. There may be several of them
depending apon how many print jobs you submitted. You will have to
resubmit your print jobs all over again.
Next go back to services window and restart the spooler service

You'll have to upgrade your operating system first.
Most, if not all, Cloud apps require at least OS X 10.7.

It maybe trying to boot from the incomplete install.
Try starting your Mac while holding down the Option key, it should then list all the available boot drives including the Mac OS X one. Boot from the Mac one and then you can wipe the damaged PC one or set the Mac to stay booting in to OS X.

I've never seen this issue, and I handle many iPads, of all versions. WiFi issues are generally local to the WiFi router - they are not all of the same quality, range, immunity to interference, etc. You have distance, building construction, and the biggie - interference.
At home, I use Apple routers, and have no issues with any of my WiFi enabled devices, computers, mobile devices, etc - even the lowly PeeCees. I have locations where I have Juniper Networks, as well as Aruba, and a few Netgears - all of them work as they should.
The cheaper routers, Linksys, D-Link, Seimens home units, and many other no name devices have caused issues of various kinds, and even connectivity.
I have no idea what Starbucks uses, but I always have a good connection, and I go there nearly every morning and get some work done, as well as play.
You could try changing channels, 2.4 to 5 Gigs, changing locations of the router. I have had to do all of these at one time or another over the many years that I have been a Network Engineer.

Go to System Preferences > Trackpad > Scroll & Zoom, and uncheck Scroll direction: Natural.

To avoid this problem you have to use AT EXIT-COMMAND Module.
1. In the GUI Status for both EXIT and CANCEL buttons assign the Function type E (Exit Command)
2. In the PAI of the Screen Call this module.
   MODULE EXIT_SCREEN AT EXIT COMMAND.
3. Now check the OK_CODE or Sy-ucomm in this module to Leave the Screen
   MODULE EXIT_SCREEN INPUT.
       CASE OK_CODE.
      WHEN 'EXIT' .
            LEAVE TO SCREEN 0.
      WHEN 'CANCEL'.
      ENDCASE.
   ENDMODULE.
This will surely work.
