Cancel Captivate 7 subscription and start Captivate 8 subscription

Hi,
About six months ago I enrolled for the annual subscription of Adobe Captivate 7. Now I would like to enroll for the Adobe Captivate 8 subscription but my Cp7 subscription is still ongoing. I don't know what this would mean? I would assume that my options are:
Swap my Cp7 subscription for a Cp8 subscription at the same cost and would include the monthly payments I've already made. Not sure if this is an option and am looking to talk to someone from Adobe to help me understand this.
Start a second subscription for Cp8. This would make no sense because I would end up paying for two subscriptions.
Cancel my current Cp7 subscription but in reading up, I believe Adobe will charge me 50% of the remaining month since I committed to a 12-month subscription. And then enroll for Cp8.
Option 1 is the preferred option if it really is an option at all. Can anyone help me out with how this would work. Dying to get my hands on Cp8 but can't until I figure out how to wrap up/swap my existing Cp7 subscription.

I have the same problem. I purchased Captivate 6 and assumed that it would work in the same way as the Adobe cloud pkgs where the software you subscribe to automatically updates when new versions of the software become available. When that didn't happen, I thought the option to upgrade at the end of the 1 year subscription period would become available, that didn't happen either.
The changes in version 8 are significant and I definitely want to upgrade to 8 -- how do we do this without penalty?
I am not sure what the advantage is to subscribing to the software unless we can easily upgrade when new versions become available??

    i followed all the directions e ,mailed to me ,but when i tried to sync my iphone the error message said incorrect password. I then asked for a second set of instructions and redoubled my efforts and still no sucess i tried to reset tghe password but I don't have a sync tab setup under firefox/tools/options. If allowed to cancel the sync key and start over again knowing the pitfalls I have encountered I would be succeswful. i THINK FIREFox is the best system I enjoy using it every day. thankyou

    On the iPad tap Settings > iCloud
    Toggle Documents & Data off then back on then restart your iPad.
    Hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button down until the red slider appears. Slide your finger across the slider to turn off iPhone. To turn iPhone back on, press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
    On the iMac open System Preferences > iCloud
    Deselect the box next to Documents & Data then reselect it then restart your iMac.

    No need to cancel, just "resume" when it's convenient.

    You can only create one set of recovery discs. So once the process is completed, you will not be able to create another.

    You should be able to see the duplicate subscription in your account dashboard, where we sign on to the Skype website to manage payment methods and so on.  There, you can cancel the duplicate subscription and then request a refund by contacting Skype Customer Service. 
    Please do not be discouraged if you can not reach Skype Customer Service on yoru first attempt.  Skype is aware of continuing website problems.  If you experience difficulty reaching Skype Customer Service or find yourself redirected back to the Community, please try again using a different web browser and choosing a different path through the various drop-down menu options presented.  Temporarily enabling scripts and pop-up windows may help get you through more quickly.
    Also, look to approve a pop-up dialogue box which would connect you to start an instant message chat with a customer service agent. If you have pop-ups blocked in your browser settings, this will also block reaching an agent.
    Last and not least, when you reach the last step of the process, remember to click on the "Start Chat" link when you are provided the choice of visiting the Community or starting an instant message chat with a customer service agent.

  • Threads - Multithreaded app. - How to cancel one and start another?

    I've searched through the forums for some direction on this but have been unsuccessful in finding anything I could use yet.
    What I am trying to accomplish is the following:
    1. I have a multithreaded application
    2. User can enter login information and then initiate the login thread by clicking the login button
    3. Login button turns into a Cancel button during login attempt
    4. If user changes their mind, they can initiate the cancel login thread by clicking the cancel button
    How can I stop the login thread and start the cancel thread? Reading through the API (1.3.1), it seems that necessary methods have been depreciated. Could anyone offer me any insight/examples?

    Have a boolean variable in the login thread which is checked at various points through the process and set to true when login starts. When the user clicks cancel, set it to false, then the login thread will end itself next time it checks the boolean.

    Try opening the Terminal utility in your system and running the following command to open the system's caches folder:
    open $TMPDIR../C
    Then locate and remove the folder called "com.apple.appstore" and then try relaunching the App Store and downloading the installer again.
