Cancel delete request

Hi All,
I am currently deleting a request from a cube in our production system. The request contains 875,800 records, entire cube contains 216,000,000.
The delete has been running for almost two hours. If I have to kill the delete, should I just cancel in SM50 and then delete record locks in SM12. If I do this, will the request be rolled back? Will the data within the request that I was trying to delete still appear ok in my cube, or is there a possibility of that data being messed up?

Why do you want stop the request..?
See the job logs where the job running..? Cancel the job and reun the report if you have problem with data. reconstruct the same requset if you are getting the data through PSA.

Credit Memo Request needs cancellation/deletion

Hi,
My application creates CMR (Credit Memo Request) which is then replicated to R3 system from CRM.
The issue is it has created a CMR with negative amount and which needs to be now cancelled/deleted. It has only one line item with a negative amount. When I try to change the status of CMR from status 'InProcess' it throws up error message CRM_ORDER019 ( Document is being distributed - changes are not possible).
How to delete this CMR from system or put it in Rejected status.Please reply.

Hello,
Do you see the R/3 document in your document flow in CRM?
It is like the CRM system does nogt know that the R?3 system created the document.
Check if you don't have an error in the queue (SMQ1-SMQ2), a dump in ST22 of an error in a BDOC (SMW01).

I have already checked all the confugurations steps in PTARQ, this navigates us to the path below as you mentioned
ESS -> Service Specific Settings -> Working Time -> Leave Request -> Processing process-> specify processing process for types of leave
in that Process request using workflow
1)WF ID of New Request
2)WF ID of Cancellation Request
3)WF ID of Change Request
The value assigned
1)New Request: 12300111
2)Cancellation Request:01000109 <> 1000109(one more thing i found whenever i give entry 01000109 for cancel the value is saved as 1000109. )
New Request working fine using ws12300111.
change working fine using ws12300111.
Cancellation of leave which is not approved also working fine using ws12300111.

How to get back the deleted request.

Hi BW gurus,
I was having a problem in ZFIGL_01 cube. 1 request was showing some error so i deleted that request without changing its status from green to red.
i then loaded the data again and now its not allowing me to activate that request in ODS because of that earlier request but when i go to reconstruct/insert tab its not showing the request which was deleted by me. Does that mean the request has been deleted from PSA also?
What will be the workaround in that case?
And in near future to avoid such kind of scenario what will be the settings required to be done so that i can see all the deleted requests in insert/reconstruct tab irrespective of the status of the request.
Now this will create problem from tommorrow onwards in my PC if it doesnt get solved. Kindly reply as early as possible.

Hope the upload is delta,
1. Goto TX: RSMO and identify the request.
2. change the request to Red/Green.
3. Reload the data.
suggestion: If it is a delta upload, Check the timestamp at R/3 or ERDATE before reload.

Unable to delete requests from ODS

Hi Experts,
I am trying to delete requests fwhich is having some added records rom an ODS. I changed the status of QM to RED and in the monitor screen as well. Now, when I try to select the request and delete, a trash can appears and after hitting the refresh button the reportinng availability appears against the request.
I deleted the entries in the change log table...then I was able to delete the request from the ODS. Now when I try to reconstruct those deleted requests from the Reconstruct tab by changing the QM status in the monitor to green, the status of these request are in Yellow and there are updated records but the added records are 0. When I try to change the QM status it give s message "Request is already (partially) activated, no further QM action is possible.
How do I change the request QM status to Green and the get all the added records as there were in previous instead of 0's with out reloading the ods from r/3.

This error may be RSMPC141 error.
Please see Note 643880 and Note 849857
this may occur becos of loss f records in change log.
You will need to reload to fix this problem

Unable to delete request from ODS - BW 3.5

Hi experts,
I am not able to delete request from ODS in BW 3.5, patch level 21. I put the request red, but it does not help to delete it. The request is full load and quite hudge (16GB). Deleting actually takes too long (several hours), but does not finish, so I cannot tell you any error description. It seems that this job can run forever... I was trying to activate the request before, but because of a tablespace limitations I received some short dumps. That is why I am trying to load it agin in smaller parts. It is strange thou that in Manage/requests tab the request has flag 'available for reporting' but the data cannot be viewed as active (only as new data). Any ideas, OSS notes?

If you want to delete requests manually from the ODS tables.
1. tcode se16.
2. delete the request in these tables : RSICCONT (delete activated requests OR
Make the selective deletion of the contents of that request), RSMONICDP, RSODSACTREQ (give the name of the ODS and the
request ID and delete all the entries pertaining to this selection in that table.), RSODSACTUPDTYPE.

Unable to delete request from write-optimized DSO (Error during rollback)

Hi Gurus,
I am trying to delete a delta request from a Write-Optimized DSO. This request was uploaded with a DTP from another Write-optimized DSO.
The actual overall status of the request is RED and the description of that status is now: 'Error during rollback of request DTPR_4JW6NLSVDUNYY3GTD6F4DQJWR; only rollback allowed'.
I checked the log of all Request Operations in DataStore (from the same line where the red request is now) and I see my several attemps to delete this request under a RED radiobutton with the title Rollback. The details for this error are the following:

Diagnosis
The system could not delete the request data from the active table of a write-optimized DataStore object.

Note 1111065 - "701: Delta consistency check for write-optimized DSOs"
Note 1263877 - "70SP20: Delta consistency check for write-optimized DSOs"

First 3 SAP notes doesn't meets the need.
Shall I use 1007717 note?

use transaction SE16 to delete all entries for this request and for this Operational Data Store (ODS) object from the RSICCONT, RSMONICDP, RSODSACTUPDTYPE and RSODSACTREQ tables. Then set the 'from-date' in the administration of the data target to a value older than the oldest request loaded in this ODS object. Choose 'Refresh'. This corrects the administration.
Will it resolves the problem?

How to cancel delete in a block ?

When we delete a record from a block, it disappear from block and when saved, it is comitted in database as well.
I want to add 'cancel' functionality ie when i delete a record from block , and if i don't want to save it , or there is error in saving. i should cancel 'delete' and on this, block should get refreshed with original records which were before delete.
At what 'trigger' i can execute querry to refresh block again

Use DELETE_RECORD built in to remove from the block. The record is not directly removed from the database as soon as the delete record command is issued. It just marks the record as deleted. On the next immediate commit or rollback the action is taken. refer the help. Look for CLEAR_RECORD built in too.

Delete requests in a infocube with infopackage

Hi BW Gurus.
I have to delete a request in a infocube during the loading and I would like to use the option "deleting request from infocube after update" inside the infopackage.
The option "Selections are ...same or more comprehensive" is not what I need because I would like to delete only when the selections in the infopackege are equal and not when they are more comprehensive.
For example, if I load from month 01 to month 03, I want to delete only the prevous request with the same selection and not the request that have from month =01 to month=02 selection.
The infopackage selections are read from a custom table.

I can't use this option.
Look at the example:
I have a request with "from month 01 to month 02" selection and I would like to load a request with "from month 01 to month 03" selection.
The option "'deleting requests with same or more comprehensive" deletes the request because month 01 to month 03 is more comprehensive than from 01 to 02 month.
The option 'deleting requests with overlapping selections' deletes the request because because month 01 to month 03 overlapp from 01 to 02 month selection.
It could be good to have a "delentig request with same selection" option and not with "more comprehensive" in the same option.

Cancelled meeting requests are not removed from ICAL.

I am currently receiveing new and updated meeting requests through "Mail" on my mac. The email body contains a .ics icon that either adds (new appointments) or updates (changes) in my MAC's Ical.
However when I receive a cancelled meeting request ... clicking on the same .ics icon take me to Ical, but doens't remove it from the calendar. Is this a known bug or somthing that I've got set up incorrectly?

Cancelling Concurrent Request hangs

Hi Experts,
Recently we upgrade the OS to solaris 5.8 to 5.10
Concurrent request like Receipt Printing running more than 20 minutes and it completed with warning, the log file shows printer is not accepting. if we cancel these requests it hangs.
Then we will cancel this concurrent request from OS level. we are facing this issue after upgrading the OS to Solaris 5.10.
In Solaris 5.10 is there any new for printer configuration. Please help me to overcome this.

After the OS upgrade, did you relink all of the application binaries ? Pl see MOS Doc 209810.1 (How to Relink Oracle Applications 11i Programs After Upgrade or Patch of the UNIX Operating System)
