Cancel order: haven't received refund or followup in stipulated 5 biz days?

I placed an order for Adobe Lightroom last Friday (11/29) but after realizing it was only a download version (I wanted the boxed version), I started a chat with Sales to cancel it. After an hour wait with Customer Service, they said the order would be "canceled" but due to the processing time they would contact me within 5 business days to initiate cancellation (or refund? Not sure).
I haven't received any followup (or refund) and have triple checked my spam folder.
On another note, I'm not sure why the refund/cancellation process has to involve a 1.5 hour process and a poor UX experience (had to hunt around); most online shops have an automated cancellation process. It's poor to make it difficult for long time Adobe users (I've used the Creative suite for a few years) to cancel errant orders, and I might add makes me much less likely to purchase directly from Adobe in the future.

    On the other thread you said that iTunes Support hadn't yet replied saying that you would get a refund, you'd only received the automated reply saying that they'd received your contact and would reply within 48 hours.
    Have you now had that follow-up email saying that you will get refunded ? If they have now replied then as I said on that other thread, it can take a number of days for the refund to be processed and for it to show on your account.

  • Haven't Received Refund

    My account shows a credit balance since terminating due to moving.  I have called 3 times and waited 2 months.  I still haven't received any reimbursement. 
    Can someone please help me get the money I'm owed? It's rediculous Verizon has so much trouble cutting a simple check to their customers for situations like this.  I've read other threads where people had similar problems.

    Your issue has been escalated to a Verizon agent. Please go to your profile page for the forum, and look in the middle, right at the top where you will find an area titled "My Support Cases".  You can reach your profile page by clicking on your name beside your post, or at the top left of this page underneath the title of the board.
    Under “My Support Cases” you will find a link to the private board where you and the agent may exchange information.  This should be checked on a frequent basis  as the agent may be waiting for information from you before they can proceed with any actions. Please keep all correspondence regarding your issue in the private support portal.
    If a forum member gives an answer you like, give them the Kudos they deserve. If a member gives you the answer to your question, mark the answer that solved your issue as the accepted solution.

  • Apple Cancelled Order - But no refund?

    Hi,
    I am from Maldives. I wanted to buy an iPhone 6 but since the price here is around $300 higher than Apple store, I decided to buy from the online US Apple store, send the package to a freight forwarder and ship it to Maldives. However, I later came to know this is against the policy of Apple. My order was cancelled.
    My Order Number: ******** | Ordered on Dec 21, 2014
    Then got a the mail saying,
    "Thank you for your recent order with the Apple Online Store. We appreciate your business.
    We are unable to complete your order. We do not ship to freight forwarder addresses. Therefore your order has been cancelled. While you may see a pending authorization on your account, you will not be charged and that pending authorization will drop off in accordance with your banks policies. Please contact your bank for an exact timeframe."
    My problem is, since to this day, January 6, 2015, I still haven't received my refund. I have called to the bank (Bank Of Maldives). They have confirmed that it takes 10 working days to receive the refund if the order is cancelled but they have not received the refund.
    Since I do not live in US, I haven't found a way to directly contact Apple. Any help?

    Have you checked with your bank whether the payment was actually taken? What Apple have said is that you will see a 'pending authorization'- this is in effect a pre-notification of a charge, but the charge itself should not be taken. So you need first to confirm whether the charge was actually taken. If it was taken in error you should first notify your bank. Then this page may help: Order Status

    I signed up and paid for the creative cloud to use Photoshop(for college). That was in May, I then cancelled my membership and account for CC after 2 weeks which was within the refund bracket for the month-month account.     You should have received a code and a link to where to download it from. If you haven't then contact Apple Custoer Support. Lion does not come on a disk.

    Did you get the sub through an app? If so, that app should have a support page or a way to contact them. Their support page should also have a FAQ that would cover cancelling your sub.

    I just ordered a 100 page book, and right after I did it I cancelled it because I decided it was worth the extra 7 bucks to get it here faster. So I cancelled it and right after tried to order it again, but it said my credit card was declined, because with the money from the first book, it said I couldn't have enough to charge for another. I do get a refund when I cancel an order, right?! When does that show up so I can order my book?!

    Welcome to the Apple Discussions. Yes, you will get a refund but it might take a day or two to get thru the system and clear with your credit card company. Credits are never as fast as charges in getting thru to the CC company.
    TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto (iPhoto.Library for iPhoto 5 and earlier versions) database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
    I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger or later), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. There are versions that are compatible with iPhoto 5, 6, 7 and 8 libraries and Tiger and Leopard. Just put the application in the Dock and click on it whenever you want to backup the dB file. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.
    NOTE: The new rebuild option in iPhoto 09 (v. 8.0.2), Rebuild the iPhoto Library Database from automatic backup" makes this tip obsolete.
