Cancel skype number

Hi, I'm trying to cancel my skype number. It will expire next month and I don't want to be charged for another year as I don't use it anymore. I followed the steps to cancel until the page "Are you sure you want to cancel your number? and click Yes but I don't seem to have any confirmation message that it's been done. Has it been cancelled?

Hi, Sqrly, Skype is aware of existing website issues. Temporarily enabling scripts, pop-up dialog boxes, and disabling plug-ins which could prohibit pop-ups may help get past website problems. If you still experience difficulty reaching Skype Customer Service or find yourself redirected back to the Community, please try again using a different web browser and choosing a different path through the various drop-down menu options presented.
Also, look to approve a pop-up dialogue box which would connect you to start an instant message chat with a customer service agent. If you have pop-ups blocked in your browser settings, this will also block reaching an agent.
Last and not least, when you reach the last step of the process, remember to click on the "Start Chat" link when you are provided the choice of visiting the Community or starting an instant message chat with a customer service agent.

I want to cancel the Skype number I am being automatically billed for. I know what the Skype numb er is. In my profile, purchase history and profile it all shows that I have made no purchases and in the manage account area my I see no settings options and no indication of a Skype number. UNABLE TO CANCEL SKYPE NUMBER

Am I able to cancel my skype number? If not then that is stupid. It was a purchase by mistake. Didn't even confirm the purchase.

Cancel Skype Number and get a refund

I've just been auto renewed (without warning) for a skype number I no longer use - I've now cancelled it - how do I go about getting a refund?

You can try requesting a refund but, generally, Skype Numbers aren't refundable unless and until canceled. Cancellation is effective on the expiry date of your current billing cycle (09/17/2015 in your case). You can use the product until then.

I have the same problem and as a busy doctor in a developing country with slow internet this experience has wasted so much valuable time I could have used productively.

Canceling old Skype number

I just added a new Skype number for Wisconsin, and now I wish to cancel my old Skype number with a Cincinnati area code. How do I do that? I followed the instructions, but there is no "cancel Skype number" option under my old Cincinnati Skype number. I tried finding a phone number for Skype so that I could get a live voice to help me, but never found this. How can I cancel the old Skype number?

Cancelling my skype number

I took a subscription for a skype number in June, thinking it was only for three months. I no longer need it but discover I have just been billed for the coming three months, even though I will not need it or be using it. I can find no way to communicate this problem with Skype folks. Help, please!

You also need to cancel the Skype Number subscription from your account dashboard (Manage Subscriptions). If you cannot do this, then please contact Skype customer service who can cancel the subscription.

People are getting through and starting instant message chats with customer service agents, however it may take several attempts before you are successful.

I just placed an order for a skype number and learned I can't call using it! I want to cancel it and get a refund. There has been no activity, how do I do that?

Cant cancel auto renewal of online skype number as per FAQ.
Its not cool that skype has changed the setting to require you to cancel the online number or you get auto renewed. Then as per the FAQ one of the links is inactive.

Also I was wondering why my online number would not allow calls through.
As per the FAQ it says that I need to enable all numbers to call my to avoid blocked numbers not in my contacts list.
Unfortunately the same link is u/s.
I have been a customer for about 4 years and am now withdrawing all auto payments and moving to viber.
I would also like to point out that since ios 6 the iphone app is unstable.

My Skype phone number was cancelled for no reason. I had money in there and now there is no option to renew. It expires in 3 days. Please help!

Skype number subscription cancelled? No!

Howdy, in one of my Skype Numbers (I have two), there's a message that says:
"Your Skype Number subscription was cancelled. It will expire on November 9, 2013."
Then have the option of getting a new Skype Nr.
However, I didn't cancel that subscription and want to continue to use that number past that date. It's a US number.
How can I do that?
When I get a new Skype nr, I can get fairly close numbers, but not the same..

Ok, contacted customer support (CS) via chat and this is what I got:
CS: I suggest that you wait for this Online Number to expire for you to see an option to reactivate the Online Number.
Me: But I need to put this number out there for people to add in their contacts.
I need to be sure I'll be able to continue to use the number.
Are you telling me that for sure when the number expires I will be able to reactivate it and continue to use it?
CS: Don't worry once the number is expired it will still be on your account for 90 days.
Me: ok, tx. Any reason I can't extend it now?
CS: I apologize but there are some cases that extending an Online Number is available however, we suggest that you wait for this number to expire.
Basically, looks like I can only renew close or after expiration, which 1) doesn't make sense and 2) why does the error message saying my subscription was cancelled appear?
I guess I'll have to wait and see. Meanwhile, the number is working.
Hope that helps someone out there in the same situation!

Your account shows that your Online Number, 3 month subscription is not canceled. To avoid further automatic renewals you need to cancel the Subscription now. Cancellations are effective on your next billing date [02/19/2015] and you can use it until then. Skype Number Subscriptions aren't refundable.
