Cancel subscriptions: can't edit auto renewal

Hi,
I've tried absolutely everything trying to cancel my account and subscriptions but there is no way for me to turn auto renewal off. I log in follow all the supposed 'instructions' yet it doesn't allow me to edit the auto renewal. Can my account please be cancelled or at least the subscription turned off? I've already been charged again and I find it exceedingly irritating that I have to go all over the internet and still can't succeed, all the while my money is being taken.

Hi Reg777,
I would be happy to help! Your account is also currently "Processing," which means I can't cancel it just now. But, I'll keep an eye out for its status to update then take care of it for you. (Feel free to ping me back if you haven't heard from me in a day or two...)
Best,
Sara

  • Cancel subscription that has been auto renewed

How do I cancel a subscription after the auto renewal date? I got an email on 4/4/15 that my subscription for ms office 360 had been renewed on 4/2/15 for $99.. I no longer usse this application.  Thanks ;-)

Patrick, unless you tell them, they won't know that.  You may well be held to the agreement though you can always contact iTunes support to see if they can help.  For the future, read this article on managing subscriptions.

  • HT1918 How do I can wil a auto-renewal SMUle

Recently, my son download SMULE (free download), without known there is a charge for future renewal. Can we stop the renewal as we find it is not what we liked,

If you want me in particular to respond to your question then asking it here, or in any other thread I've contributed to, will help me notice it. However generally it is best to ask each new question in a new thread, particularly once a thread has been marked as answered. Someone else who knows even more about the new topic than I do might ignore the new activity in the thread because they can see it is already marked as solved.
Another approach would be to use a title such as "For turingtest2 or anyone else who knows about X", but I can easily miss those if they aren't in forums I visit regularly or are posted at times when I'm not around.

  • Can I have auto-renewable subscription and non-consumable In App Purchase in one app?

    Hi Everyone,
My app is just live on the app store.  I used DPS Professional edition and I am able to create a Multifolio with itunes subscription app.  I set my subscription to 1 month and 1 year.  Now I want to publish some other issues for the nesstand to be free.
Will it be approved by apple if I add Non-Consumable In App Purchase and set the price to be free.
I actually want my users to download free content, for old issues and purchase the lateest ones.
What approach can I use for this?

In-app purchase is only for retail issue.
You can publish free folios from DPS dashboard, that will appear automatically in Live app.

  • Cancel subscription can not access my documents

I used the Adobe suite of applications for a class and my subscription is over but now I can not open the documents saved on my computer. How do I open them?
    Thank you,
    Jeannell

    Jeannell,
Without the subscription, you can only see the PDF part of your files with Acrobat or Reader, and only if you have saved them as PDF Compatible.
To really open them and work with them, you need to renew your subscription.
If you wish to have perpetual access to them without the subscription, you will need to have a CS version (which goes up to CS6), and you will need to run the subscription tremporarily to downsave them to your CS version, or ask someone to do it for you.

  • How to cancel Auto Renewable purchase programmatically.

  • HT4157 Cancelling auto-renewal data plan on broken iPad

My iPad is broken. It does not power up. How can I cancel my monthly data plan auto-renewal that is costing me $30 a month?

You need to call the company whom you have the plan with. This is a user-to-user forum (as you knew when you signed up to it) and no-one here can do that for you.

  • How auto-renewal works

How can I turn auto renewal off of my creative cloud subscription? Adobe FAQ says that there is an option for that in account management but I can't find such option. I have one year subscription.

NightSkyGuy, you will be charged $50 a month for the second year. Not $70, that is the price for a Team Membership. Your second year if you auto-renew on a yearly contract basis will be $50.
Do you have an authoritative place where Adoe has announced next year's pricing?  Please share. They might charge $0.79  or $79.00.  If it actually said I'd be auto renewing AT $50 I'd have some confidence. However it says "The price is subject to change" - it could be anything.
So if the auto-renew does somehow take place you can still cancel in the first month and get your money back for that first month.
I'm sorry, but I have no confidence in this either. My friend was told that since he renewed, his cancellation would cost him 50%.  A Renewal is not being treated the same way as a first time sign up.  I'd like to see what you've written in writing on Adobe's website.  The Terms and Conditions do not say you cannot disable autorenewal. They do say you'll be notified before renewal but NOT WHEN!
Any reason why a company that manages to maintain Photoshop/Illustrator/InDesign etc can't add a simple button that toggles auto-renew on and off for yearly subscribers?
Amen!  The stated reason for not being able to turn off autorenewal is "for my convenience," My *ss. It's for ADOBE's convenience in collecting more $.
Your account is set to auto-renew so that you don't experience any interruption in access to your product or services. I am sorry to inform, we do not have the option to disable the auto-renew feature.
If everyone who reads this opens a case asking how to turn off autorenewal that Adobe might realize it's important.
PS In my last interchange with Support I specifically requested that they CANCEL my subscription.  Guess what Adobe HASN'T done.

  • Can no longer afford CC. Cancel subscription and auto-renewal.

A couple of months ago, there was a dramatic change in my financial circumstances. As a family, we were not prepared for this; we did not have any significant savings and were already struggling with debts.
Unfortunately, I am struggling to restore my previous level of income and, as such, many bills are going unpaid. Including rent… and Creative Cloud!
I relied on Adobe CS tools for making a living; and for prospecting for new work. After missing my November payment, my subscription was reverted to 'trial' and now this is about to expire. (I actually had to turn down a job today because I no longer have the software to do it.Wasted money! I could have bought CS6 outright!) I am now in the process of selling my studio equipment to raise funds for software from another publisher. However, I seem to be locked into 'auto-renewing' my CC subscription, against my wishes. There is no option to cancel auto-renewal, without paying for the whole 12 months!
I have spoken on live-chat and they do not seem able to understand my situation. No help at all.
I'm looking into buying CS2 from eBay, for the interim, but would like to leave Adobe for good.
Has anyone had any luck cancelling their auto-renewal before the end of their yearly subscription?

This was one of my major problems with the subscription model. I guess that in the coming months (years?) we will see a lot more of that. It is sad though that changing situations also cross over in application land. Sadly enough that is how it will go, if you subscribed for a year, you can not get out of it till the year has passed.
If I were you I would look for other software, maybe GIMP or another application, might not be as good as photoshop, but going back to CS2 is a bad idea I think...
I am so sorry to hear about your problems. I do know how it feels! ;o(((

  • Can't find "account settings" in order to cancel a auto-renewal subscription.

I want to cancel an auto-renewal subscription.  The email notice says I need to do this through the "account settings" in iTunes.  I have been on iTunes for over an hour and can't find an "account settings" link that gets me to where I need to be to cancel just this subscription.  I know this is stupidly easy but sincerely...where is account settings...

If you are being billed through iTunes then you should be able to cancel it by logging into your account e.g. by tapping on your id in Settings > iTunes & App Store if using an iOS device, or the Store > View Account menu option on a computer's iTunes : iTunes Store: Purchasing and managing auto-renewing subscriptions

  • How can i turn off an auto renewing subscription to Netflix ?

How can i turn off an auto renewing subscription to Netflix ?

Interesting turn of phrase.   Are you suggesting that Netflix has none standard terms and conditions that could activate penalties if the user casually unsubscribes.
I am not familiar with their terms - I've never had a subscription with Netflix. Personally, I will always check the terms of any business I do business with and know how to cancel before committing to a contract.
Edit: I just took the time to browse through their terms which appear rather straight up:
    https://signup.netflix.com/TermsOfUse
From the OP's post, I also did not assume that their subscription was through an iTunes app as a direct subscription was/is available. I do not know if the terms might differ if going through iTunes (which would make sense if Netflix would be losing money by offering their service through iTunes?).
