How do I cancel the scheduled jobs for process chains which are going to run tonight.

Hello,
Go into transaction code RSPC and then select the particular process chain by going into the edit mode and in the menu...
Look for Execution --> Remove from Schedule.

HI,
some other system means either dev, qas, prd?
for every process in a process chain there is a chain id which is same as the name of your chain,
for every chain id there exist some log ids , this both information you can find from the standard table RSPCLOGCHAIN
From this log id you can find the status of the process from table RSPCPROCESSLOG.
here u will find the status of your process whether is has been completed successfully or ended with errors.

Canceled Status in Job Detail, Process Chain triggering w/event

Hi All,
I have created event, PC and trigger event with SM64 or with ABAP, everything is ok
if I activate and Schedule PC, I see BI_PROCESS_TRIGGER job with released status, and when I trigger the event nothing is happened but when I checked the Job detail I see canceled status job.
I donu2019t understand why this problem occurs ?
I can trigger the event but before event trigger the PC, scheduled job detail directly turn to the chancel status.
if any one give me a clue to solve this problem I will appreciate

Check authorizations.
Try to run process chain with out event(immediate) and check.

Hey i tell you very simple way by which i do always....
1.When you create a process chain usually it goes to nonassigned folder
2.To assign a folderdouble click and open your process chain which is under not assigned folder
3.Click on pencil icon in top menu bar for modifying it
4.Press CTRL+F11(for display components).
5.A popup will come Assign Display grouping-Press F4
6.You will find different folders thereeither select any of the existing folder where you want to put that process chain or-
Press F5--to create a new folder
Enter Application Component(folder name) and its long text--and press enter(or green tick)
7.Select that Application component-->green tick (enter ) -->save(ctrl+s)
8. Press Refresh button on left side...
and you are done....

How to create own functions in the decision maker for process chains?

I need a further function which is not already implemented and available in the decision maker of the process chains. But I do not know how to implement a new function.
Please give me some help!!!!!

What does the new function need to do?
You may have to create a new process type. There are a few white papers and blogs about different ways of doing this. Needs ABAP knowledge however.

How to delete old schedule time of process chain after changing

I am try to change the schedule time of process chain on production but after changed the old schedule is still working (i.e. every day on 7 am I want change it to 6 am only) ,one process scheduled two time.
I want only last changed. How to remove the older one?

hmm wierd...one more thing check if this process chain get trigger by anyother process chain by some abap program or any.
Check the table rspcchain to know if it has any meta chain or not. IF not follow the below steps :
make your process chain trigger based upon the event. Follow the below step.
1.SM64 ---> Create event -
> come to your process chain -> maintain the start variant -> event base---> give that event name here.Now we will be require to create the job which will trigger this event for this.
2.Let us take the below PC as example;
ZL_TD_HCM_004 -- This PC is running after event u2018START_ZL_TD_HCM_004u2019
3.Go to T Code: SM36 Here we define the Background job which will be available in SM37 after saving it.
4.It will ask for ABAP Program to be entered. Give it as Z_START_BI_EVENT and Select Variant from the list. (Based on Process chain, you can select it)
5.Then select Start Conditions and give the start time of process chain. and select periodicity.
6.Save the newly created job in SM36.It will be now available in SM37.
This should solve your problem now .. have fingure crossed

i remember a sap note or a how to guide to configure the display components for process chains as hierarchy like:
- my chains
    - daily
    - weekly
    - monthly
         - monthly admin
         - monthly xyz
but right now i find no information about that.

Price of scheduled job for mobile services

For a mobile service, if I run a scheduled job to get some data from an http source, which is (85 kB) 85,000 bytes in size, every 15 minutes.
Is there any cost to me for the data for the month?
Is there any cost to me for the scheduled job for the month?

Background Processing
Prerequisites
You have started the message monitor on the initial screen of the PCK and are in Background Processing.
Features
Archiving
You require two archiving sessions to archive messages:
●     One session to write the messages to the archive
●     One session to delete the persisted messages that have been archived
To do this, you schedule an archiving job, which implicitly schedules the sessions to write to the archive and delete the archived messages.
You can define one or more rules for each archiving job; these rules contain conditions that a message must meet in order to be archived by the job. At least one of the defined rules must be met for archiving to take place.
All information that is displayed for a message in message monitoring is archived, in addition to the audit log for each message.
Deleting
A standard delete job is created automatically. It runs once a day. You can schedule additional delete jobs; however, you cannot define rules for them.
Restarting
Instead of restarting messages with errors manually with message monitoring, you can schedule a job to automatically restart these messages. This is possible for all messages for which the number of defined restart attempts has been exceeded (messages with the system error status).
You can define one or more rules for each job to restart messages; these rules contain conditions that a message must meet in order to be restarted by the job. At least one of the defined rules must be met for archiving to take place.
Rescheduling
A standard job to reschedule messages is created automatically. The job runs once a day and ensures that messages lost as a result of database failure, for example, are rescheduled. You can schedule additional rescheduling jobs; however, you cannot define rules for them.

Till now we have seen how to resubmit/restart message that failed in Integration Engine. One a message makes it from Integration Engine to Adapter Engine, the message is flagged as checked in Integration Engine. The status of the message in Adapter engine does not effect the processed state in Integration Engine. Now if this message was asynchronous, XI will by default try to restart the message 3 times at intervals of 5 minutes before the status of the message is changed from Waiting to System Error .
*how can i schedule a job to automatically restart these messages with errors?

The QueryParams will handle the data types for you, and should pass values around more safely and with fewer issues. Assuming you just want to store the current date and time you don't even need to get ColdFusion involved, as databases have their own functions for this. I believe Access' version is simply NOW(), so I've put that in your query.
Give the above a go.

Set time for process chain

Hi,
I have requirement to set maximum time to run the process chain.
For example:
Process chain is starting daily at 10 PM and taking time 1hr 30 min to complete process. Some times it is taking 2-3 hours to complete process.
So I need to set max. time 2 hours to complete process chain. If not completed with in 2 hours (before 12PM), then the process chain should be cancelled.
Please help me in this regard.

Standard ABAP program for process chains

Hi gurus,
Is there any standard ABAP program to trigger process chains?
I do not have authorization for RSPC_API_CHAIN_START. So is there any alternative function module or any standard ABAP program that I could use?

Hi Apara,
Did you try scheduling the chain via rspc1? If not then follow the steps as given below and see if it is successful
1) Goto RSPC1.
2) Enter your chain technical name.
3) Go to display variant by right clicking the chain. Select the immediate option. save the settings.
4) Come back to the process chain screen. Click on execute button. See if this succeeds.
or in case if the chain has been already scheduled once:
Just open the PC in RCPC1/RCPC
right click on the start variant (i.e the first process in the PC)
and select display scheduled jobs...
this will show you the released jobs for this pC
just selsct the check box in front of the released job and the select the menu option Job - > selct Repeat scheduling.
selct immediate and remove the periodic tick mark and save which will run your process chain immediately.
But i doubt if you will be able to schedule the process chain via a function module or a ABAP code without prior authorization. Maybe you can request some one from your team to run the chain for you until you get access.
You will surely need to get access for running the chain without which it should not be possible to run the chain.

Triggering Process chain based on execution of R3 job and Process Chain

Hi All,
I need your help in arriving at a solution for a reqirement.
Scenario is., I need to trigger a process chain B based on successful execution of Process chain A and an R3 job. If both conditions(Completion of R3 job and Process Chain A) are met then only it has to trigger process Chain B.
I know that we can use events to trigger a process chain using R3 job.But my case is differenet I need to consider the success message from both process chain and R3 job.Is there any way to solve it ?
