Cancel update to 10.9.2

Hello.
I would like your help on a software update issue.
I am running 10.9.1 on a retina Macbook Pro and I have disabled updates through the System Preferences - App Store option, where I have deselected all options for upgrading/updating.
For some reason - which I cannot understand - OSX decided to download 10.9.2 in the backround and preinstall tha initiall part (or whatever it does to prep it).
I realized it immediately because while I was working today a popup came up on the screen saying that it will reboot to install and I barely managed to press the later option...
Upon checking in the App Store I have the screen below...which leads me to believe that if I reboot it will install 10.9.2 and I will not be able to stop it, nor will I be able go back to 10.9.1.
I recently formated my time machine HDD, so I do not have any earlier backup to revert to and I do not want to upgrade to 10.9.2, as it ruins my whole font setup that I have going with Tinker Tool. Is there any way that I can cancel or rectify this. I can't avoid a reboot for ever.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

As I said, I formatted my time machine a couple of days ago DOH and I don't have any other backups. The only backup I have is the full one that I took today (around 400gigs) after this happend...But I assume that even if I used it...it would lead to an install upon installing and rebooting, since it is a backup the state OSX is now.
As for the files that are in my /Library/Updates/ folder, here is a screenshot. If I delete something in here, will it prevent OSX from installing 10.9.2 upon rebooting?

Why hasn't Apple implemented a way to cancel "update all" ?

I have tried all the suggestions. Turning off wifi. Airplane mode. Turning off the device. Reset settings. None of these things help.
I have been reading posts about this issue that go back YEARS. Why has Apple not implemented a "cancel updates" ? Why was any potentially lengthy process ever let out the door without a way to cancel it?

It is a technical support question.
There have been many people posting about this problem for years.
I have seen NO response from an Apple rep. (Thank you for the feedback URL, I will use it)
None of the user-supplied ideas seem to have worked for me or any of the previous victims of this problem.
I did, however, find a way out. Not to cancel, but to get it to finish.

In your code you should get the event that was triggered and check whether it was the add button that was clicked. Then you do your code and then set the BubbleEvent parameter to false to not execute the standard processing of SAP Business One. Code sample:

Cancelled update, now Firefox won't start

Last night I cancelled a Firefox update while it was in the process of updating (because I'm a bit of a curmudgeon) and now when I click the Firefox icon on my tool bar, it just bounces once and then does not open. I tried downloading the newest version of Firefox just a minute ago but it is not compatible with my system, thus I'm not sure what to do as I rely of Firefox and all the bookmarks I have saved. Can you please send me an update link so that I can update, and actually let it update this time? I'm running a Mac that I purchased new in July 2007, so I'm not certain of the OS or any other features.

Subscription cancelled, updated credit card but st...

My credit card on file will expire prior to next subscription update. I went into the settings and updated the card. I received notification of the 1.00US test of the card but my account status still says cancelled. I attempted to obtain a new subscription but I get the message that I already have one. Which is correct and why does the account not reflect the updates?

App Store cancels update

Frequently, when I receive notification of an update and select either the "update" or the "update all" button, I will receive the message "An error has occurred: The operation was cancelled.(3072)". Why does it do this? How do I get it to stop?

This computer is shared between three accounts; while the update is a Mountain Lion update, I wonder if having multiple users logged in creates the problem? I'll check, and get back to you. Thanks for the suggestion!
OK, I logged out all other accounts on this computer, retried, and was able to successfully download the updates. Thanks for solving my problem!

That one suggests the installer has gotten damaged during the download.
I'd first try downloading an installer from the Apple website using a different web browser:

If you use Firefox instead of IE for the download (or vice versa), do you get a working installer?

There was ona new update in my AppStore, something with Facebook, new version. I didn't want to download it, but accidentaly I tapped on 'install' and it started. I want to cancel this download, but I don't know how. Is that even possible to cancel it when it has already started?

[Enterprise App] - How to push app out if user cancels update

I am using Mac OS X Lion Server's Profile Manager to push updates out to my iPad app users.
When the user is prompted, "The server is about to update the app blahblahblah" he or she is given the choice to Update or Cancel.
If the user presses "Cancel" there doesn't appear to be a way to push the app back out, even using Lion Server's "Update" function for the device.
How do I do this?

Update:
I should have clarified that the App (as well as said theoretical device) is associated with a Device Group profile.
It does seem as if this might be a bug in Profile Manager. Profile Manager is aware that the device refused the app update, but using the Update function on the device doesn't properly sync the app back to the device.
Looks like the best way to handle this is to add the app to the profile for the device itself (which I don't otherwise use); have the user accept the app; then it's safe to remove it from the Device Profile so long as the device and app remain associated with the Device Group profile.

NullPointerException while closing window and cancel updates

I have a Quit button(a JButton) in a JFrame, when pressed, it
check whether the QueryDataSet associated with the frame has been
modified, if yes, then prompt user a Confirm Dialog. In the
dialog, if user clicks YES, then the cancelUpdates() method in
the Frame will be called to cancel all the updates, and close the
window.
But when I quited and closed the window, I got the following
exception messages, none of them points out which line of code in
my program is the one that produced the NullPointerException.
Does anyone have the same experience? Any other idea about where
the NullPointerException is from?

How to cancel Update

I tried to download the new updates for my macbook and I got a message saying to continue with the upload I need to close itunes...I have closed Itunes about 4 or 5 times and I can't get the message to go away or the update to finish downloading. I have tried to force quit the update and shut down the computer neither responded does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks I got it to disappear.... but does anyone know if there is a virus or something in the new Itunes update I got the same error message "please close itunes" even when Itunes wasnt open when I tried to update it a second time.

i think some confusion is there & i request dont jump directly to the conclusion that nokia wont release the update for these models...by striking off these models from the list it means that these models wont receive that particular update which they have mentioned in the blogpost...
Maybe they are going to release a bigger & major firmware for these models...so dont jump the gun & wait for their response....i think Nokia will release the updates as promised cos models like 5230,5233,etc have got the updates then 5530,5800& x6 are more successful models..so i think nokia wont disappoint its large no. of users....
I request Nokia to please come forward & clear the air..

Sounds like we are at the same University!
My solution has been to use a virtual Windows machine to access the application under Parallels. A bit like cracking nuts with a sledgehammer, I know, but it works.
