Canceling Master Password pop-up gives access to protected sites?!

When I press "cancel" in the Master Password pop-up Firefox still fills the username and password of the site. How to prevent this? Win 7, FF 22.0

Safari 4 slow when accessing .htaccess protected sites

Hi, I just found Safari 4 to be deadly slow, when I access a site which uses apache "Basic" authentication. After first accesss I'm promted to enter username and password and everything works besides it takes up to 10 sec to load a single page. When I disable authentication for the site everything is nice again (load times per page below one sec).
Ideas anyone? Thx a lot.

Also, i have this form that does the authentication through an ajax request, so you don't get that pop up window. In previous versions this work fine, but now it pops up the window after logging in...
I could not find any explanation...

Master password incorrect sometimes..?

After not using my desktop for a week, I came home and woke up my computer and the "required password" that I requested to wake up my computer came up. I entered in THE CORRECT password, many many times, and it said incorrect. I shut down the mac, started it back up and logged in to my account using the very same password. LIKE MAGIC, it worked, so I decided to change the master passwrod to be safe. I went into security>file vault>change password and a prompt to enter the master password popped up, so I entered in the MAGIC password again, and it lets me in. Then it requests the current master password to be entered, in order to CHANGE the password, and it says INCORRECT!!!
What the crap. Help me.

Documentation says the capitalization in the User_Name field is NOT case sensitive, but I have found Sometimes it is.
Since I have been burned by this, I recommend you explore the capitalization in the User_Name. It is the combination of the two that is rejected, not just the password.

How to stop the prompting message of master password when I open firefox when not opening on a site that doesn't use a password?

Every time I open Firefox it asks for my Master Password. I am not on a site that has a saved password, yet it still asks for it. Sure I can hit Cancel, but continually doing so is a nuisance. It never used to do this in past versions, it only asked for the master password when entering a site with a saved password. Is this a bug? How can I stop this annoying behavior. Sync will try to connect to the Sync server to look for changes, from other devices that are setup for that account, shortly after Firefox is opened if anything is set to be synchronized, not just tabs. You need to disable Sync from "auto connecting" to Sync, disabling the sync of tabs alone isn't enough.

Then grab the Sync icon from the Customize Palette and use that to do a manual sync.

Can the Master Password Ever Be Figured Out by the Tech Guys at my Job?

At my job, all the computers are networked into a server. Can the tech guys figure out my Master Password? In other words, how safe are my passwords on Firefox? I'm concerned that the tech department will be able to determine my Master Password and therefore have access to all my passwords.

Norton sets up cards for sites I log into, all with different user names and passwords, and these are automatically filled in after I enter a master password. This has not happened once under Firefox4.0 Beta 9. Thanks, Bill

Your Norton Firefox extensions might be disabled because they probably aren't compatible with the Firefox 4.0 betas. Norton typically doesn't support beta versions. <br />

Okay so I am not a computer expert by any means and have no clue how to fix my system. My father worked for intel for over 20 years as an engineer I asked him to restore my laptop to its original factory state and instead he cracked the master password
installed multiple operating systems and made himself the administrator or domain controller. Many features and options I do not have access to so reading the trouble shooting and going through the steps always leads me to a dead end. The laptop is TOSHIBA
SATELLITE L875D-S7332 a6 VISION AMD WINDOWS 8. As far as I can see my profile is actual running a version of windows 7. I do see reference to a windows 8RT windows 2003 windows vista wow64 and 32 I don't know what all that means I would just like to know how

Do you have Win 7 installation disk? If yes, then go ahead and format the laptop if you don't need any data. If you need the data it it, then copy the same to USB disk and format it. Removing OS and deleting these things will anyhow keep some remains on
HDD. TO get the speed and performance back, you might need a fresh installation.

In order to reliably save the info and be able to restore at a later date, you would need to use his AppleID.
Switch to it on iTunes, back the iPad up and confirm the backup exists (Preferences / Devices), then switch to yours, wipe the iPad and start afresh. Will also wipe his apps, as they are tied to the AppleID as well.

I am cursed with a master password I submitted a few days ago and it now seems impossible to get rid of it ... when I uncheck the box the approriate pop up comes up but the 'remove' is is not functioning ... help ... I hate this feature and want it gone !

A few days ago I was stupid and tried the Master Password option. Now it will not allow me to remove it! I follow the process but when I submit the master password for removal the 'remove' button is dead. Only the 'cancel' option is active.

Why is the master password entry window popping up twice each time I open my Firefox?

Each time I open my Firefox, and go to a website where my password has been stored, the master password window pops up. When I enter it, it disappears, and requires me to enter it a second time. In essence, the window prompt is popping up twice. One over the top of another. I have even tried to uninstall Firefox and reinstall it. Same problem.

If you updated your existing account then try logging out of it on the iPad by tapping on the id in Settings > iTunes & App Stores and then log back in and see if that 'refreshes' the account on the iPad.

The designer is usually someone who just handles the user interface portion of the code. The developer would handle core functionality. I assumed you were the developer and the designer was the designer. You are the client and your "designer" is the developer.
Ideally, you should create a business account so that you can add someone to your team. That is the way it is supposed to work. Otherwise, you will have to ask for the final source code so that you can build and submit the app yourself. You should always have the source code regardless. You should always perform the submission under your own account too. Otherwise, it is the developer's app, not yours.
Sharing accounts is against the Apple Developer agreement anyway. The App Store Gold Rush is over. Now it is mostly zombie apps and competing fraudsters. You don't want to give someone access to your iTunes account. You really don't want to give someone access to your bank account either.
The best solution would be to convert your account to a business account. You may be able to have the developer submit the app and then transfer it to you.

Master Password appears to have messed up Safari and Keychain Access

I searched on my issue at length and perhaps I'm just ignorant, but I could not see an answer. So here goes...
My department has an internet site that requires a Certificate on Windows machines on the network, however you can also authenticate by entering your user name and password. I had entered my information, and saved the information in my Keychain.
Yesterday, I set the Master Password in System Prefs, however I did NOT turn FileVault on.
Today, I came to work and am on my work's network, just like normal. I went to a bookmark that is on the password protected site and I got a Keychain window asking for my FileVaultMaster password (or something like that). It was not looking for my login password for the Mac, rather the Master Password I set yesterday.
I entered the correct password, then I get the nasty page saying that the Page Requires and SSL Certificate.
So, I went to the Keychain Access and repair, but nothing needed repair. Emptied cache, same problem. I deleted the item in the Keychain, same problem. Deleted all saved passwords in Safari, same problem. Deleted all cookies, same problem.
So, I opened Firefox and I'm able to get in, but I can't in Safari.
Does anyone have any ideas on what I can do?

This may not help, but I'd use the Network panel of System Preferences to create a new "Location" and add an AirPort connection item to that. (To create a new location, pull down the "Location" list and select "Edit Locations".) In the new location add an AirPort connection item and nothing else.)
