Cancellation for Violating Terms of Use ? ? ?

Got an email that I thought might have been someone phishing, so I forwarded it to Skype. Turns out it's legit! They are cancelling my account for violating the terms of use and when I wrote them back they didn't give me a straight answer as to what I did that caused the problem. They put in bold "sharing subscriptions between users whether by PBX, call center or computer or any other means" so I assume that is what they are claiming I did, but for life of me I don't have a clue as what they are talking about. Anyone else have this problem? They say my subscription and credit will cancelled in 48 hours and no refund will be given.

The Flash media server development server is fully functional (except for the quantitative restrictions like max limit of number of connections to 10 etc), and is equivalent in quality to all other flavors.
The developement server is generally meant for developmental and testing purposes though i think within the limit of connections etc, there should not be any problem with its usage. you can cross check/confirm from the EULA always, when in doubt.

This search page has been blocked due to a violation of terms of use

I had my 4 year old grandson on my laptop and now when i open Mozilla i get the message: this page has been blocked due to a violation of terms of use, sorry for the temporary inconvenience.
i don't know if he did something on the search page. I tried reinstalling firefox and it keeps on giving me the message

What is the URL of the message that you get ?
If the message is from Mozzila, I do not know if the contact email on the [[Terms of Service]] page may be of help. It strikes me as rather odd if someone can accidentally break ToS on either Google or a Mozilla site accidentally, especially a four year old child.

Censored posts for made-up terms of use???

Can anyone tell me why my question about an apparent alteration and attempted deletion of personal user data following a snow leopard install violates this forum's Terms of Use?
Despite the first stated reason for censorship in the email below, there was NO discussion of unauthorized modification of Apple Products in my question.
My two deleted posts ONLY had questions about an unauthorized modification of personal User Data.
In addition the second post involved, although containing similar information, was most certainly NOT a duplicate.
This second post on this subject happened after I learned that Time Machine, by default, wouldn't ordinarily back-up this user data. It therefore had NO reference to potential issues with Time Machine and was posted in a more relevant topic area.
It was most definitely NOT a duplicate posting. I would have happily agreed to a removal of the first post on this subject since it was no longer relevant to that topic area.
I'd like to mainly understand why a question about data corruption and attempted deletion of user files isn't permissible here. (The duplicate posting excuse for deleting these is a fall-back/smoke-screen imho.)
Also I do have a need to publicly state how disappointed I am with Apple in the way such posts disappear. This is my first experience with Apple censoring information, but I've seen better moderation practices on amateur/not-for-profit run message-boards. For example, I have NO way of knowing whether modular747 is a moderator or not. So all users get is an email by an individual who seem appear to understand the post (let alone the Terms of Use**) and BANG, posts are deleted without even an email to that effect....really?
Really? Is this is the same Apple who has given me great customer service and has treated me as a reasonable human being, and consequentially a good repeat customer, with virtually every prior interaction I've had?
Not really expecting anything positive from this post - hopefully stimulate internal thinking within the moderators/Apple about how their actions impact their customers. But I fear Apple may already have grown too big for that.

No, it's not. It it were, then Sun really would bought Apple for a song in 1995. Apple provides products and services you can't get anywhere else.
I may have no influence here, but I do make the buying decisions for my home and my company, and my experiences here have had a negative impact on my feelings about Apple in general.
You know, it's just a job. The moderators have a list of things they censor or moderate if someone complains about them. I don't know why you feel abused or insulted, but it certainly isn't personal. The moderators are just doing their jobs. Other member are just trying to help. If someone says something wrong, unfair, silly, or illogical, they are going to get called on it. Violation of iTunes Store terms of use

You will be violating the iTunes Store terms of use if you try to purchase from your home store, the iTunes Store you registered with, from another country. Apple will not discuss this with you nor will help you any any way to resolve the issue. Apple does not have an alternative way for customers that like to buy while traveling.
Since I travel a lot I find the need to buy from iTunes, or do an InApp purchase, but I can't do that, apple is now violating my privacy by tracking my IP address to find out my location even if I have location turned off on my device.
I have tryed to find another way to buy while in a different country without violating the terms but I was not able to find one that is easy. You can't even use a gift card because the gift card can only be used in the country you are in, while my id is registered in a different country I am not allowed to use them.
The only way to be able to buy while traveling is creat an account from that country, which means you have to have an address and a credit card tied to that address, can't be done if you are just visiting for a little while. If you are able to do that you will have to have different ID, different address, different credit card for each country you visit.
Apple is selling a device that now can only be used in one country. Their answer to that was you can still use your e mail, Internet, and other applications, not all of them.
Apple does not have an answer to what to do if you are in a counrptry that does not have an App Store, iTunes Store. Why it would be a violation of terms if the country you are in does not have it's own store.
I want to use my device the way I want to use it anywhere I am physically at, why the restrictions. I can still buy from any other online store without being physically in that country, it's up to that online store, or apple to pay the taxes and fees for that country, if that is the problem.
So let's all complain to apple and ask them to change this term, or at least give us an alternative we can use.

Copyrights? From my limited Knowledge about copyrights, I can understand it when it comes to music, or movies, but InApp purchases?
Why are other online companies, like eBay, amazon, are able to do it while apple can't? Why does apple have the restriction in a country that does not have an apple, iTunes Store? Why can't Apple have an alternative to those rules.
Why can't I buy from a local store while I am visiting that country?
And why is apple violate my privacy by using location services reading my IP address while I have that turned off.

Reporting Terms of Use Violations

Dear Kuler Team,
What can be done about reporting Terms of Use violations,
specifically, reporting users who steal themes/tags. It used to be
merely aggravating, but now that there is something on the line
(the coveted autumn07 t-shirts :) ), I feel it's time to put in
place a mechanism for calling these people out. Coopting another's
colorset and/or its associated tag set and publishing it as one's
own is clearly a violation of sections 6a, 6b and 7a. I know that
most of these are first-timers and/or one-timers who don't know any
better, but still, they are all required to abide by the terms of
use just like everyone else.

that this is a very helpful (and fun) tool. I definitely have
something to say on this topic. Please see the comments below, they
are a conversation that started with a presumptious user not
minding his business and ASSUMING that my partner had copied
someone's swatch. It happened to be that it was my theme that I
created and published it for her to look at and change if
necessary. So then someone else jumps in with their two cents. They
apparently were trying to help the situation, but really if someone
copies (or you think they copied) your theme complain to the kuler
team and call them out directly if you want to, but if it is
someone else who has nothing to do with you or your themes then
myob. It makes other not want to publish anything on here if people
who do not know you, your ethics or your intentions jump in and
make presumptious comments.

suggestion would not work, and it was not your color scheme so why
so worried about someone else's business? How about if you guys
just judge the color scheme and forget what we are doing. If you
think it sucks give it 1 star, if you think it is great give it 5.

that. But if it has to do with ethics, leave it at the door because
the person that made the first comment made assumptions that he/she
should not have made. Working it out in the backend would require
extra steps that we do not want to take. Let us use the tool how we

By the sounds of it you have linked Email Accounts, if so this means that you will both recieve the majority of the same Emails, and if you do and you read them on your account (which is linked with your husbands) then they will appear to read on the both of them because they are linked. With the majority of Email providers these days they're Emails are (simplified) in the cloud you could say, meaning that if you read or delete shared Emails then it will do the same on both accounts rather than just the yours.

When there was support for Google Toolbar, I was able to do this; now, whenever I want to search for something, I have to open a new tab to do it, and cut-and-paste my search into the search field in the new tab. I used to be able to highlight, drag, and drop something into the search field and have it automatically open in a new tab. This is enough for me to switch to Chrome . . .

About Google toolbar............
Google decided that they will no longer produce the Google Toolbar for Firefox 5 and newer version. It is best to move on to other alternatives than to try any "hacks" to the toolbar that may or may not perform in the future. Future versions of Google toolbar will only work with IE7-9. Google Toolbar is not available on any other browser, even Google's own browser.

Note that clearing "Site Preferences" clears all exceptions for cookies, images, pop-up windows, software installation, passwords, and other website specific data.

Please read below for the purpose of using Types for TPM.
You define types for your marketing projects. The settings you make for a type define aspects of the business logic of all marketing projects of this type.
You can define multiple types. You can create marketing projects of the types that you define.
You assign a partner determination procedure to a type. You do this to control which business partners can be assigned to a marketing project of this type. Depending on the settings in the partner determination procedure, it may not be possible to assign business partners who are not in the assigned partner determination procedure. Note that when a marketing project has the status Created, you can still assign business partners who are not in the assigned partner determination procedure, but you cannot release the marketing project. If you do not assign a partner determination procedure, you can still assign business partners when the marketing project has the status Created, but you cannot release the marketing project.
You can also create and assign objectives specifically for a type or create pairs of objectives and tactics for this type.
In most cases, you use Types for BI reporting purposes and as part of standard delivery also, it depends on the above factors on what Type you should use for Short Term or any other TPMs.

Using flash drives for long-term backups

I use a USB flash drive to backup my mom's iPhoto Library. I've heard, however, that flash drives are not reliable for long-term backups. Is this true? If so, what is the best alternative?

yes, I'm not a fan of DVD-Rs either. they do go bad pretty quickly (especially cheap ones) - quicker than flash drives in my experience. Personally, i only use regular external drives (and lately cloud storage) for backups.

The change between Firefox 3.6.* and Firefox 4 is how location bar search works. In Firefox 3.6 it uses Google "Browse by name" search. With the browse by name search, it performs a Google search and if there is a clear match it will take you to the site, otherwise it shows the Google search result. With Firefox 4 it just performs a Google search if you type something which is not recognised as a URL.
To get the Firefox 3.6 behaviour on Firefox 4 you need to change a hidden preference.

Terms of Use continually asking for agreement.

Nearly every time I open a Creative Cloud program I am asked to agree to the terms of use. This seems quite redundant, and, while I am still able to use the programs, it is quite annoying to have to keep clicking "I Agree".
If anyone else is having this problem I can understand it being a while for a fix, but if it is only me I would like to know why this is happening to my account.
Just so all the details are given, I am using an ASUS G46VW running Windows 8. The main applications I use are Premiere, After Effects, and Photoshop.
