Cancellation of Billing Invoice

Hi,
I want to put a check in my system that untill and unless the J1IIN doc is cancelled,we cannot cancel VF01 doc.Is there any user exit/check for this?

    You have to go for a development.

    Please find the logic
    If XVBRP-WERKS = J_1IWRKCUS - J_1IWERKS Pass the XVBUK - VBELN to J_1IEXCHDR u2013 RDOC, If STATUS = R the document should not allow saving (Error message: Excise invoice to be cancelled first), else allow saving.

  • SD Billing - Avoid Cancellation Creation if Invoice has not been posted yet

    Dear all,
    I have noticed this problem in my company system.
    Problem descripion:
    - you creates an invoice and the system doesn't post it for any reason
    - then you create the cancel of the invoice, BEFORE forcing the posting of the invoice
    --> user creates Cancel, Cancel is not posted as well.
    --> from now it is impossible to post both invoices: if you try to post the Invoice after the cancel creation, the VF02 recongnise that a CANCEL exists and do not allow for the posting
    --> standard VFX3 doesn't signal this kind of not posted documents situation.
    Ok, The right procedure for thes user should be: create invoice, if not posted then try to understand why not posted, and not CANCEL it.
    But in this case VFK3 was not able to detect the invoice was not posted: it was not in the list.
    So the 2 ways must be:
    1) one possibility could be undestand in VFX3 could be enhanced: I checked in OSS but I didn't find anything.
    2) other possibility: add a further check in interface between SD and FI in order to check if original invoice is not posted to FI and in this case block the cancel creation, as instead standard SAP does.
    Could you please give me an idea on how it would be better proceed?

    thank you for your feedback.
    in VOFA the flag is not ticked.
    The problem was that In VFX3 no data were found for the specified document (with all "Inclomplete Due To" check box  flagged), even if invoice and relative cancel were already created, but not posted.
    When we tryied to to post them, via VF02 for example, the system didn't warned anything specific and, doing the posting via debug, we discovered that the posting was stopped because VBRK-RFBSK = E = "Billing Document Cancelled".
    So, forcing via debug that value = ' ', because of the urgency of Finance Office, we could invoice it and then do the same for its cancel.
    So at the moment it is not possible for me to reproduce the error in the system.
    The only workaround I can imagine, is to find a way to avoid cancel creation if invoice is not posted yet.
    Do you think this is feasible way?

  • Cancellation of billing document with out cancellation of excise invoice

    I want to control the cancelation of billing doccument. Condition is that with out cancellation of excise invoice there should not be any cancellation of billing document and delivery document.

    You can try with Routines
    Create a routine (can take the routines no 5 / 6 as reference to create the new routine and mention not to cancel the billing doc if it is referenced to create any excise invoice) and assign the same in the required billing type definition.

  • When canceling the billing document it carries the invoice referance as "V"

    When we cancel the billing document using VF11 it carries the invoice reference as "V". we need to change this and we need to take the original invoice document number as the invoice reference. Pls advice how to do this.

    Check with your SD Consultant. This can probably be achieved through Copy Controls routine for the cancellation document type in SD. You will have to adjust your copy control routine accordingly.

    You can write a user exit by checking the status of accounting document associated with the billing document.

  • Auto cancellation of excise invoice while cancelling commercial invoice

    Dear Experts,
                         we have done for one of our client that when they create commercial invoice,excise invoice accounting is also getting created. But when i am cancelling the commercial invoice,excise accounting is not getting reversed. Pls suggest measures so that when we cancel the billing doc.excise accounting docs should automatically get reversed .
    Also suggest appropriate note if it needs to be applied.

    I have one issue in CIN.
    The following are the my sequence of operation.
    Intra company stock transfer.
    1. Purchase order with UB. (from plant A)
    2. Delivery ( from plant B),
    3. PGI ( from plant B),
    4.Excise Invoice ( from plant B to A),
    5. Billing ( from plant B),
    6. Creating Excise Invoice without purchase order Manually (from plant A),
    after PGI and Before MIGO.
    7. MIGO.
    Now i want to cancel the Excise invoice in Plant A.
    how can i cancel the excise invoice.?

    In T.Code: J1IIN, there is an option of deleting / cancelling the Excise Invoice. On the top most left hand side (after entering the Excise Invoice number) select Excise Invoice --> Cancel / Delete.
    Here it is possible to cancel the Excise Invoice.

    I created the Billing document and Excise Invoice. When i went to the Document flow in the Billing Document I found the Accounting document of the Excise Invoice and its status is Cleared.
    After that I Cancelled the Excise Invoice. And again I checked the Document flow in the Billing document. But the status is showing the same.i.e Cleared.
    Wt it mean..is it correct?

    It is correct. the cancellation of excise invoice wont affect the document flow of sales document. For status go to J1ip enter the invoice no or billing doc and enter. here u can see reversed in the status.

    I have a problem with down payment invoice cancel. As you know when doing invoice down payment request, after release to accounting, the accounting doc will have special G/L indicator is F (noted item). And when I cancel this billing down payment and after release to accounting, the accounting doc of cancel invoice will not have any lines item.     As i understand your process you created Downpayment Request from SD.
    Then created Downpayment with reference to that request.
    Then you generated Billing invoice and released to accounts.
    After that you cleared the downpayment with the Billing document.
    Now you want to cancel all this.
    First cancel the downpayment by FBRA reset and reverse.
    Then cancel the billing document.

    we released the billing and accounting document generated but customer needed changes in the billing values so we cancel the billing document but accounting document not generated(reversal accounting not happen)....in document flow it shows in cancel document in blocking state ....we try to release in VF02 but it throws the error "Client 200 does not contain an active application area" . but the other sales order we test in qulaity server the scenorio is working fine...............for specific one sales order creating problem now.....

    When i cancelled the billing doc through VF11 Fi document not yet creted. system thrown the given below error:
                                                                                    Diagnosis   :                                                                          The document does not exist. It was possibly not posted and therefore cannot be read from the database.                                                                               
    Procedure  :                                                                    
         Repeat the transaction at a later time.

    First check whether accounting posting has been made for your Invoice or not.If accounting document has been created then go to VOFA and check the "Invoice cancellation" field and not the Document type  field.
    For your billing type F2, Invoice cancellation billing type should be S1 in the standard system.
    Document type field is for creation of accounting document type in FI. When you create F2 type of billing document, then DR type of accounting document should be created in FI.
    If this "Document type" field is blank than whatever may be the Billing type ,when it is released to accounting , RV type of document will be created.

    Please note you will NOT be able to change TOP in billing doc..even if you change as indicated above in sale order it will not reflect in current doc,you have to cancel all the subsequent document after the sale order and then change the TOP as you require in sale order and then process.

  • How to stop cancellation of cleared invoice?

    Currently the SAP SD system is allowing the users to cancel the cleared invioce, which is not according to the companies business policy.
    How can I stop that, if user try to cancel the cleared invoice system should give an error message and stop.
    I am using standard billing type "F2" for invoice and "S1" for cancellation.
    I have also checked the "Copying control: Billing document to billing document" but could not find any control which is
    Target "S1" AND Source" F2".

    In VOFA for your billing type  ( not in copy controls ) in the cancellation tab assign Routine 029 in copying requirements
    This will make sure a cleared invoice does not get cancelled

    Step 1: Creation of billing document and booking revenue
    Entry Passed: Credit Revenue
                              Debit Customer
    Step 2: Creation of excise invoice through J1IIN.
    Entry Passed: DR Excise Duty Paid
                              CR Cenvat Payable
    Step 3: Cancellation of excise Invoice through J1IIN
    Entry Passed: DR Cenvat Payable
                             CR Excise Duty Paid
    Step 4: Cancellation of billing document through VF11
                Debit Revenue
                      Credit Customer
    DR Cenvat Payable
                        CR Excise Duty Paid
    So you can see that while canceling procedure the system has passed twice
    the reversal of the excise duty i.e in STEP 3 and STEP 4, and because of
    this GL balances where not matching. So to counter that we passed a
    Financial JV (FB50) and made the Cenvat payable account as NIL on 31st March
    2009 but the same did not got reflected in report S_ALR_87012277. It still
    shows me a Credit Balance in the CENVAT Payable account
