Cancellation of confirmation not taking the default value

SAP SRM 5.0 , Extended Classic Scenario
CCM 2.0
This is the query related to Cancellation of confirmation .
1) Requisitioner has created a SC of value 29,105.66 GBP , quantity 1each, dated on 28.07.2010 1
2) The Purchase order is created on the same day 28.07.2010 and copy is available at the backend
3) Confirmation of same value 29,105.66 GBP is created on 02.08.2010
4) Invoicing is done for four different quantities and value on the same dat 18.08.2010
                0.762 each    22,170.40 GBP
                0.022 each         641.68 GBP
                0.153 each      4,455.00 GBP
                0.025 each        727.50 GBP
The complete invoicing is not done for the total PO amount.
5) Now the cancellation of confirmation is performed before credit memo for the invoices on 26.08.2010
6) Credit memo for four invoices are done on dated 26.08.20109 ( Same day after cancellation of confirmation)
Problem : While Cancellation of confirmation the default full amount is not coming.
                It picked up some other value 29100.60 GBP in place of confirmation value 29105.66 GBP.
We are just wondering how it can happen since we know that for creating confirmation we can change quantity as one of the Parameter. And if we do cancellation of confirmation it take the deafult value which is set up for confirmation.
Just wondering how it is picking up another value 29100.60 in palce of one 29105.66 GBP set up for confirmation.
Thats why we are unable to delete PO since Cancellation for 5.06 GBP is not done and still exist in the system
Cancellation done for amount 29100.60. Confirmation created was amount 29105.66 GBP.
Note : Cancellation of confirmation is done before the credit memo for four invoices on the same day.

We have tried the option what you have suggested , still the problem persist. Plesae advice.
We have done the below mentioned steps and did not get sucess though.
1. We have created invoice of qty 0.038 & value 1,111 GBP.
2. We have created credit memo for the same.
3. Then created confirmation for 29,105.66 & qty 1.
4. Reversed the same confirmation.
Please let us know where we are missing. Shall we need to do confirmation for qty 0.038 and then reverse?
Actually we have tried doing invoice-confirmation for whole qty 1- credit memo-confirmation cancellation but again amount it increases instead of nullifying.

How can I validate a dropdown box to NOT accept the default value?

I have a fillable form where I need the user to select their "Number of Employees". I have added several ranges as their options in a dropdown box (1-10, 11-25, 26-50, 50+). My issue is the "defult value" is set to "1-10" and people submit it without changing it to the correct value.
I have changed the default value to "--Select One--", but it still lets them submit the form with that value entered.
I am assuming I need some sort of validation script that will basically say - "If the value in this field is --Select One-- do not submit the form, but give an error that says 'please select your number of employees" or something along those lines.
Basically I just want them to pick something as opposed to just submiting it with the default value.
I have looked all over and am not very good with JS.

You can not have the default value set to a real possible value. You need a value that should be selected.
Then for your submit script you need to test all of your required fields to make sure they are not at the default value.
You make a variable that assumes all the required fields are completed and then check each field and if any one still has the default value you set your variable to "false" and then when you have checked all the fields you test your variable's value and only if it is true to you submit the form.

When defining a data type of category NC, I would like to use data fields of type checkbox. At NC logging data entry the checkbox should be "checked" by default.
When looking for the proper value to indicate that the ccheckbox is selected, I have tried values like: 0, 1, TRUE, FALSE, T, t, X, x ... etc. But always I got the same error message:
"Data field FUNCTIONAL_YN does not support the default value (Message 14120)"
What should be the right value?

It looks as if by means of GUI you cannot specify default state of being selected for Checkbox field. The default state is unselected.
It is easier to invert the statement in the label of the field so that an operator could use unselected state as default.

Report not taking the default xml template assigned

Hi,
We wanted to have an excel version of the Depreciation Projection report vis BI Publisher.
We changed the output type of the standard report Depreciation Projection report to XML, created an RTF Template, Defined data definition to point to the program and Template to point to the RTF Template.
We assigned the template as default template from System Administration.
The report is automatically run whenever Depreciation projection program is run. (If the report is run without that, it does not fetch any data)
But when the report is automatically run from Depreciation projection program, it is not picking the RTF template, just provides XML output.
The Depreciation projection program is a spawned program so we cant see how it is triggering the report that it ignores the template.
Running the Depreciation Projection report separately after it is run automatically does not produce any data.
How can we get the report to use the default template?

so looks like you are using ebs r12 for which in some cases need to add layout before running "manually"
it means use FND_REQUEST.ADD_LAYOUT

looks like you can't add template so as idea generate report after "Depreciation projection program"
you can search how generate xml publisher report based on xml of previous step

Piechart not taking the exact values of table

Hi,
I am using the pie chart in WAD
EX:- I have the data like this
Material        Revenue%
1     65%
2               12%
3               10%
4                7%
5                2%
                100%
when we add these values 65121072= 96%
Now when I see my pie chart , its not picking the values from table instead its rounding up the values to make the overall total in the piechart to 100
Material        Revenue%
1     68%
2               12%
3               10%
4                8%
5                2%
                100%
but I want to pick my table values ,how can this be done

Hi,
Go to edit chart in the chart web item properties , it displays he chart designer.
IN the chart designer for pie chart go to the value properties( click next until u get step 3 out of 6-value properties).click on each categorz and in the for the label properties select "VALUE" instead of "PERCENT".

Cannot set the default value of an item in the detailed table

Hi,
I have Master-Detail group, both are Table formats.
I need to set the default value of an item in the details row to the value of an item in the selected row in the Master table.
I tried Default Display Value=#{row.MasterItem}, but it seems it is trying to access current details row instead of the Master.
I tried #{bindings.MasterGroupColumnName.inputValue}, but it does not work.
Any ideas

I think I now what I'm doing differently, I had the "New Rows" JHS property of the detailed table group "empty" instead of the default "2" value.
It seems that "Default Display Value" expression works only for the new records specified in the "New Rows" property. But when I try to "Add" new record using the "Add Row" button, the new record inserted does not have the default values generated, only has values populated for the items of the FK (in the view link) but not the ones set through the property.
I guess in a nutshell, how I can get the details item to behave like the FK columns?

The default database blocksize of 10g is 8k.

SRM 4.0- How to set the default values for product type (01) only for SC

The radio button Service should not be visible.
Also for search help (e.g. search for internal products) where a search should only be possible for product type 01 (goods). The system should not display the product type and internally always search for goods only.

We needs to use Search help BBPH_PRODUCT which having parameter PRODUCT_TYPE
Here we can set defalut value 01 but it is not correct one since same search help is using several places.
We need to limit the search help results only for SC.

The easiest way to set defautl values is to edit the batch class.
Goto the characteiristic and go to update values.
In here you probably have something like 0 - 100 as a spec range.
On the next line enter the default value within this range. At the end of the line, click in the box in the column labelled "D". This indicates the defautl value for the characteristic.
If you need to you can do this in the material classification view as well.
Just to be clear, these values will only show up in the batch record. You can not have defautl values in resutls recording screens.

How to set the default value of a LOV that is found in a view criteria

I need to set the default value of an LOV that is found in a view criteria. I tried to set a groovy expression but unfortunately it wasn't read. i also tried to bind the LOV to a bind variable and set the value of the bind variable in the constructor of my backing bean but unfortunately the default value appeared the second time i entered the screen and not on page load.

if you want some default value in LOV. you go to edit list of value wizard-> UI hint->include no selection Item checkbox -checked.use labeled item first of list- and beside that put the label. but when you try to get value, it will show null.but you can manipulate in ur java , if it default value

I want to be able to change the default value of a comand when the vi
is running. (I know how to do that with a right click when the vi is

You can't do this on a running VI. If you have an idle VI, you can open a reference to that VI and use an invoke node with the Make Current Values Default method, but that will only work in LV (i.e. not in an EXE) and will affect all the controls. What you can do is save the values to a file and load them when the program starts. OpenG's File I/O package includes some VIs which will help you with that.

How can I get the default value of a particular preference in FireFox?.
I know I can see the default value for some of the preferences in about:config but, I need a programatic way to get the default value.
I see some that there are values for preferences in firefox.cs but I am not certain that these are being used as the default values for preferences. prefs.js in user's profile only has the updated values and not the default values.
Any help towards acheiving this programtically is greatly appreciated.

Here when you have the callableSattement as ?=proc(?), the first ? is an output parameter. So you should register it as out parameter using registeroutparameter.
Then you can get the value from the outparameter using callablestatement.getXXX().

I have put the following condition on form personalization

as we dont have any option via personalization to set the default values ,it can be done through controller extension ,
in processRequest method of extended controllere get the control for that particular field where u want to set the default value and set the value using fieldbean.setValue(pagecontext,value);
in case of any particular case ,please post in the forum

Batch Split in OBD & billed for the entire Quantity .RG1 register does not update the excise values

Hi All,
I am new here . We have batch split in Delivery and 601 happens for the individual batches and billing we bill for the entire quantity . Hence the RG1 does not update the excise values for the batches and it is showing as zero (upon extraction in J2I6). Upon research through the program the latest note which i presume is patched
The latest note is N158234 which does not show in the program but seems have been patched considering we are using the Latest version of SAP .
As you see above in the billing we have billed for the whole quantity but RG1 does not update for the since the batches are zero .
My programmer says because of some note related to cancellation where it says about values H & J in vbfa table and due to which program does not go through the Note for the batch split .
Now i have checked few other projects in my company and they all seems to be following the program . So i am wondering whether my process or some customization is missing .
Sales order (no batch determination) , in delivery the batches are picked through wm to and batch split happens in the delivery . Then billling for the whole quantity . We have automatic excise invoice creation enabled so no J1IIN .
Can somebody help me .

How about the other projects' values in VBFA where your techinical team is guessing some issue. Have you compared this?
Since you have already the note 158234 implemented in your system, ideally, you should not face any issue.

What are the default values for dom.max_chrome_script_run_time for FFVersions 25 through 30 ?

I have run across issues that creep up. The timeout setting of
dom.max_chrome_script_run_time
seems to be 20 seconds in FF 25.0.1 and 10 seconds in FF 30
I was wondering if you have release notes for all versions from
[25, 30] so that I can know all of the different timeout values?

Can you post a screenshot that shows a different default value of one of those prefs?
Note that it is possible to modify the default value via a mozilla.cfg file in the Firefox program folder.
