Cancellation of Incoming Excise Invoice at Depot

Hi Experts,
We have created a MIGO against PO and excise invoice is created alongwith MIGO. Hence RG23D register is updated. For some reason we have reversed the MIGO. But quantity is still lying in RG23D register however we have no stock of that item.
Is there any way to reverse the incoming excise invoice so that quantity can be reomved from RG23D register.
Waiting for your precious reply!!!
Kuldeep Dahiya

Hi Santosh,
Thanks 4 ur reply. But when I am trying to cancel by entering the material doc, it is showing error "material doc .... not found".
Plz reply some other way or solution of this problem.

  • How to cancel the incoming excise invoice by j1ih

    Hi,
After reversing Excise Part1 entry (Mvmt 102 by Migo)
how we have to cancel the part2 by J1ih (by which tab "other adj" or "Cancel Excise Inv")
as per my knowaledge cancel excise invoice is outgoing excise invoice cancel,'
    is it correct?
    and above all
these entries will not appear in J2i9 (Monthly return) then we cannot show updated entries.
    please tell me.
    Thanks
    Prasad

    1. First cancel the GR.
    2. Cancel the Part 1 entry.
    3. In J1iex - > Change, you need to maintain reason for cancellation in header misc tab. For this you may need to do config in Tax on Goods Movements -> India -> Business Transactions -> Incoming Excise Invoices -> Maintain Rejection Codes. Save the invoice in j1iex.
    4. In j1iex -> Post , you can now post the invoice. Simulate to see that accounting entries are reversed.
    5. Then in j1iex -> Cancel, cancel the invoice to mark the status as 'Cancelled' if you need to use the invoice number and date again for another GR.

  • Cancellation of excise invoice for depot

Is there any way out to cancel or reverse the excise invoice for depot??

    Hi,
Which transaction you are using for posting excise invoice for depot? If it is J1IG, then it is difficult to cancel.
If it is J1IS, then you can select option Cancel & post the invoice

  • Country India Version Incoming Excise Invoice Cancellation

    Hi Experts,
I am unable to cancel incoming excise invoice. I have gone through many threads regarding this subject but still none of the suggestion is working out here, please gives your valuable comments?
We are using TAXINJ procedure and I followed the below steps for excise cancellation.
    1. Good Receipt for PO MB01
    2. Capture and Post Excise Invoice ref to GR J1IEX
    3. Cancel the Material document created in step1 MBST
    4. Cancel the Excise Invoice created in step 2 J1IEX.
When I am trying to execute step 4 i am getting the error message Excise invoice EX140 2009 has already been posted for vendor 907970
When I try to post the excise invoice EX 140 it gives me error No Part I exists for availing credit in excise invoice EX140 2009.I tried to update part1 using J1I5,there I only found the material document created in step 3.
If I try to post the excise document with ref to the cancellation material doc and I use the same excise number i.e. EX140, it gives error Excise invoice EX140 2009 for the vendor 907970 Exists. I also tried with a dummy excise number EX141.i am able to capture excise with this number but when I try to post it gives me message No Part I exists for availing credit in excise invoice EX141 2009, Then I updated the part 1 using J1I5 and tried to post the document EX141, it gives a div by zero Dump.
    Please help me out.

    Hi,
    Thanks for your valuable inputs.
I am still confused what standard SAP says regarding Incoming Excise Invoice cancellation, the comments are contradictory even I searched in other threads also but there also no standard answer.
does it allow the cancellation if Part2 is posted?
I followed the steps suggested by SAP Learner. But it does not allow me to do the step 3 it gives me messageu201D No Part I exists for availing credit in excise invoice XXXX 2009".I checked table J_1IPART1 and table J_1IPART2, the entries are there for excise invoice XXXX.
Please advice As per Indian Tax law is it OK if I post the difference amount using J1IH other adjustment. But if we have to post the -ve difference then how can book that amount. I extracted the registers it is showing the JV values but does not show any reference document.

  • Creation of excise invoice at depot with A-certificate

    Dear Friends,
I have a scenario with one of my customers where they transfer stock from plant to depot and sell those from there. In one instance, it was discovered that by mistake proforma invoice at the plant was prepared with wrong base price and therefore less excise values flowed into the outgoing excise invoice. To take care of this an excise JV was passed from the plant. Thereafter, an A-certificate was created w.r.t the outgoing plant invoice to capture the excess excise values. Simultaneously, a debit memo request was created for the plant followed by a debit memo to balance amount. The RG1, RG23A partII registers were then updated. Now, while selling from the depot, when excise invoice is being assigned to the delivery, I am not able to find the plant excise invoice which is needed to be assigned. Only, the A-certificate is seen. I have tried to change selection criteria also but still unable to find the particular incoming invoice in the list. Therefore, I am not able to create the depot excise invoice.
    My queries are as follows:
    1. Whether the process of adjusting the excise difference through JV is OK. Or I need to create a supplementary invoice through J1IS with reference document type OTHR?
    2. How to update RG1 register for the differential value or the RG23A only shall be updated instead of RG1 after the Jv is passed?
    3. I am not able to assign the incoming excise invoice and the A-certificate together to the outbound delivery at depot.
I shall be obliged if any of you suggest me a solution from your experience as many of you might have come accross similar scenarios while working on CIN.
Awaiting a reply and wishing everybody a very Happy New Year in advance.
    Regards.

    Dear Lakshmipathi,
Thanks for the prompt response and suggestion. I believe I have not been able to clarify my requirement. I understand that at depot level RG23D only should be updated and RG1 or RG23A has got no relevance. My query is, when the goods are being sent from plant to depot, RG1 register is updated which will capture the excise values in the outgoing excise invoice. Now later on when I find that I have sent goods at wrong price(ie charged less excise duties), I need to generate a supplementary invoice and issue a debit memo to the depot to balance my revenue accounts. Now, in this case , how I shall post the differential amount to the registers at plant level and during utilization how the set off will take place between sales and procurement?
As regards the A-certificate part I have understood the entire process and have completed the same.
Also I need your inputs in the following scenario:
Incase If I have charged more excise to the customer  during sale from factory, how the same amount will be adjusted in the registers.
    Process Flow: Factory Sales
    VA01 u2013 Create Order                                    - 10 Pc
    VL01N u2013 Create Delivery & PGI                 - 10 Pc
    VF01 u2013 Create Commercial Invoice             - BED- 1000 , ECS u2013 20 , SheCess - 10
    J1IIN u2013 Create Outgoing excise invoice      - BED- 1000 , ECS u2013 20 , SheCess - 10
    J1I5-Update RG1 register
    J2I5-Extract RG1 register
    J2I6- Print RG1 Register
We realized that we have charged more price as a result even excise is charged more to the Customer.
So the steps that we are thinking are as follows:
    Actual Excise values should have been BED- 800 , ECS u2013 16 , SheCess - 8
    1)Create Credit Memo
    2)Create Excise JV through J1IH ( Additional Excise ) - Excise Amount : BED- 200 , ECS u2013 4 , SheCess - 2
    My present RG23A balance of Purchases is BED-2000 , ECS u2013 40 , SheCess - 20
Now our question is when we are creating Excise JV through J1IH ( Additional Excise ), RG23A Register is getting updated and additional values getting added.
    So now my RG23A balance of Purchases is BED-1800 , ECS u2013 36 , SheCess - 18
So in Utilization i.e. in T-Code : J2IUN, Available Balances are decreased. But Outgoing excise values to be sett off are not getting affected anyways.
This means that my excise values of Purchases i.e. RG23A Part 2 are getting decreased and Excise values during sales are not getting affected which we feel is not correct.
Please give your valuable inputs and also let me know if I am following the correct Process as many suggest to use J1IS T- Code for Adustments.

  • Incoming Excise Invoice::Whats the meaning of multiple GR multiple credits?

    Hello CIN Experts ,
Pls clarify with an eg if possible of multiple GR multiple credits in case of incoming excise invoices .
Does that mean that i can have the same invoice no. in more than one GR ??
If so ..... whenever i try to post the second GR with the same vendor excise invoice number .. the system says " an excise invoice already exists for the same vendor."
What is the functionality of the so called multiple GR multiple credits
    Rgds
    Anis

    Hello SAP Learner ,
As per ur reply ... if there is a 100kg  PO qty & in the first GR the recieved qty is 50 , then the credit that we would be able to take would be that of 50 kg only  , which the system would prorate & hence subsequently i would post the excise invoice & take the credit for only 50  kg ...
Later if the balance open qty as per PO are cancelled then there is no  question of GR & hence credit .
Still the utitity  as well as functionality of multiple GR multiple credits is not very clear .
pls do revert bk wid ur valuable inputs

  • Excise Invoice at Depot for Initial Inventory Uploads

To upload the initial stock / update RG23D during initial stoc we need to use the same t-code j1ig or we can develope a BDC for the particular t-code.thats the practice we are following.

  • How do we raise Incoming Excise invoice on Vendor1 and A/P Invoice on Vendo

    Hi All,
How do we raise Incoming Excise invoice on Vendor1 and A/P Invoice on Vendor2 for a single purchase order?
The Scenario:  PO is raised on Vendor2 for certain goods excisable and Vendor2 is not registered under Excise hence i cannot get Incoming excise invoice from Vendor2 or I cannot raise Excise invoice in B1 on the name of Vendor2.
    But
the same goods (which are excisable) were already supplied by Vendor1 to Vendor2.  So here the excise invoice is coming from Vendor1 and A/P Invoice from Vendor2 how this is actually handled in Business One?  How do we show the A/P Invoice amount due on Vendor2 and the Excise Passed from Vendor1?
    Thanks
    SV Reddy

    Hi Thanga Raj,
what you said is works only for payment consolidation.  where in a particular purchase two vendors are involved, the tax updates should go into relevant vendor master data.  in the above case excise is updated in the vendor1 account and RG23 also should be generated on the name of Vendor1.
Since you already raising incoming excise invoice on the name of Vendor1 you also need to raise A/P Invoice on Vendor1 (this is mandatory, from the goods receipt PO when you click copy to Incoming Excise Invoice and A/P Invoice the system automatically inserts "Vendor1")
but how do you update the Vendor2 account only for the A/P Invoice VAT portion.  Because in reality the VAT you are paying to Vendor2 since you need to raise the a/P Invoice on the name of Vendor2.  it is not actually happening in business one.  If you try to raise A/P Invoice on Vendor2 from this Goods Receipt PO, initially the system copies Vendor1 from GRPO and if you change and try to add the invoice on Vendor2 name, the system will ask you to create a serial number again if the item is excisable.  here the work is duplicated for the same item you already created a serial number while you creating the Goods Rectipt PO from Vendor1.
Any body knows any other scenario please help me.
    Thanks
    SV Reddy

  • Difference between factory excise invoice and Depot Excise Invoice

    Hi
Is there any difference in invoice calculation part in excise invoice through Factory sales and excise invoice through depot sales?I know the processes but not sure about the excise calulation in these.

    Hello,
From the point of view of Customer, there is no difference, because he can claim Excise Credit to the extent he has received in your Excise Invoice (factory or Depot).
From your point of view, as far as Excise Calculation is concerned, there is one basic difference. In Factory Sales you can create new Excise Liability (Say you have received Excise Credit from Vendor as Rs. 100 but you can pass Rs. 120 to Customer by paying the difference to Excise authorities).
While in Depot Sales you cannot create additional Excise liability & only pass the Excise Credit that you have received from source (Factory In this case).
    Hope this helps,
    Thanks,

  • Printout of excise invoice for depot created in J1IJ

    dear gurus,
as we create an excise invoice in j1iin and take the print in j1ip, similarly i have created a excise invoice for depot in j1ij and tried to get the print out in j1ip but i m not able to get the printout.
hence pls guide me that is there any other sap standard t-code to get print of excise invoice created through J1IJ and let me know,  how and from where to get this prinout.
    thanks and regards
    ujwal

    Hi,
In SAP we dont have print out for J1IJ transaction and we need to develop the same with the help of ABAPer.
And we need to give logic so that J1IJ referred Stock Transfer/Original Excise invoice number also needs to be printed against which the duty values are passed on to the customer.
    Thanks&Regards

  • Sales return - Excise invoice from depot

    Dear all,
We are having a sales return scenario in depot which we are executing in following way.
    1) Return sales order 2) Delivery against sales order 3) PGR 4) Credit memo 5) Capture of excise invoice in J1IG against the material document posted in PGR with reference to original excise invoice.
But when we are again creating an outgoing excises invoice from depot i.e. re-selling the same material to other customer system does not show the excise invoice in list of inward invoice.
Request to please let us know if we have missed out on a step/ configuration to ensure that the customer return excise invoice is visible to re-sell the material from depot.
    thanks & regards,
    mahesh

    Dear  Lakshmipathi,
Thanks for the reply, did go through the thread that you have suggested before i posted this one.
Just wanted to know that we update the register with material document number posted for transfer of material from one storage location to another which is customer return to finished storage location and not with the PGR material document number?
5 Create Transfer posting in MB1B with movement type 453, storage location 0005 and save
6 Note down the material document reference
7 Go to J1IG to reverse excise issue posting
    thanks and regards,
    mahesh.

Please advice and reply as soon as possible.
    Thanks in advance.

    Dear,
in pricing procedure determination select sales area through which u r doing STO, Document pricing prosedure as  I and customer pricing procedure as 1 assign your pricing procedure ande pricing condition.
Make sure that In VOFA for Billing type IV document pricing procedure should be I.
    create conditon record.
At the time of Billing for STO choose billing type as IV system will aumatically copy all the value in billing.
Hope it will solve your problem
