Cancelling Cloud is a Nightmare

I have had alot of trouble trying to cancel a second account with cloud, that was opened by error. I was told last month that I would be refunded etc but this month again 36 euros has been charged for an account that is suppose to be cancelled. I am really frustrated. It is impossible to get them by telephone from my locality (Ireland) and the online process seems straightforward, but why am I still being charged? What do have to do? Come on Adobe!!!

  • THE CLOUD's WORST NIGHTMARE HAS HAPPENED

    A totally unexpected event is possibly closing down my access to the Creative Cloud at least by my next billing period.
    1. My credit card issued a payment dispute against my monthly subscription charge which I NEVER INITIATED. The credit card company agreed it was their mistake and released the funds back to Adobe.
    2. Now I am getting emails from Adobe that my membership has been downgraded to a free membership (which is basically nothing) AND I'VE BEEN TRYING TO REACH SOMEONE AT ADOBE but it's impossible. Have been on phone hold for 4 hours today. Chat has been un-available everytime I've checked today. So now I'm trying forum's. Is this how we're gonna be forced to spend our day's when mission critical apps are shut off because of someone else's mistake?
    3. Bank assures me funds were re-sent and I can't even contact anyone or anything at adobe to get confirmation. THIS IS A MAJOR PROBLEM PEOPLE.

Adobe really needs to have an alternate "phone" contact for billing issues such as these for people who don't have internet access. The current "phone" customer service is unusable and obviously overloaded. Maybe a special contact number for Cloud only billing issues. Adobe now controls the ability to totally shut down a business that relies on its products for it's income, because of technology mistakes. There needs to be "solutions" in place to prevent that from happening when it is of no fault of the customer.

  • I am having trouble opening files saved in CS 5.5 Indesign after spending time on the cloud. Help me please

    The last year(2013-2014) of school used CS5.5( I won and is on home computer) at home along with the cloud. School was using CS 6.I learned to save all files at home and at school in CS 4 or better. Saved files in each format so I could work on each project at home or at school. In Oct. had to cancel cloud. Now when I try to open the last years files It tells me to ck membership or open in arobate(PDF). Have spent hours on the phone and all they can tell me is to contact the forums. Hours and hours of work I have no access to.
    Anything new I wish to start is ok but anything I had worked on in InDesign for my portfolio is  accessible
    I am considering removing my CS5.5 and trying to re load it. Any one know if that will help and what could I be loosing if I do that?
    I have spent hours on the phone with no help from Adobe.
    I just want to know how I can open my files to I can re save them in the CS 5.5 format . All of my portfolio, resume and other InDesign things are not available.

    I'm having the same issue. And Dreamweaver now crashes after just a few seconds.

  • Have Creative Cloud - Cannot get off the trial versions of InDesign and Photoshop

    Windows 8
    64-bit operating system, x64-bit based processor
    Downloaded and installed trial version of InDesign CS6 (three days left on trial)
    Purchased Creative Cloud two days ago
    Downloaded and installed Photoshop CS6 (loads as a trial version)
    When clicking on Registration number, get error message “not connected to Internet”
    Live chat instructed to uninstall both InDesign and Photoshop and download again.
    Cancelled Cloud
    Next day phone rep spent ½ hour trying to get it to work. Said it would all work and helped me re-purchase Cloud – received email confirmation.
    Phone rep passed me on to someone who was supposed to give me a registration number. Spent another ½ hour doing the exact same thing. Was told there are no registration numbers in Cloud. Wanted to pass me off to another support department – I declined.
    Received email today:
    “Your Creative Cloud membership will be transitioned to a Free membership at the end of the next billing period. This means you will lose access to many of the apps and services included with a Paid Creative Cloud membership.
    In addition, since Free membership offers only 2GB of storage, you may need to remove files to get your cloud storage down to 2GB (or to purchase additional storage separately if you choose). If you leave more than 2GB of files on Creative Cloud for more than 90 days, you may lose access to some or all of your files. If you decide you want to return to a Paid membership, update your payment information and desired plan on the account management page.

  • What happened to my files in creative cloud?!

    I put files into my creative cloud folder yesterday from another location so I could back them up. Turned on my computer to work and they are all gone. Everything is gone. It's resyncing some of it, but I checked the Creative Cloud archive and all the files I moved are gone. My creative cloud has reverted back to yesterday before I placed those files there and I lost several months of work which I need for my clients!! Why is creative cloud deleting files from my computer without telling me and then resyncing everything? I love Adobe Products, but the creative cloud is a nightmare to work with. I lost so much work!

    With the recent update of the Creative Cloud Desktop app (1.9.1.474) we unfortunately introduced a bug which causes the creation of a new Creative Cloud Files folder, and re-sync of all content. This will only occur the first time the sync application runs after the update. This has caused understandable pain and confusion, for which we truly apologise.
    The Creative Cloud Files app contains logic that supports the use of multiple Adobe IDs. This allows you to sign out of one ID and in to another, but keeps your Creative Cloud content separate. When you sign out and change IDs, the app moves the previous Creative Cloud Files folder and it's contents and appends it with the previously signed in ID (User@AdobeID). It then creates a new main folder and starts to sync content of the new ID.
    The bug which I mentioned previously occurs, as the app believes an ID switch has taken place and as such, moves the current Creative Cloud Files folder and tries to append the previously signed in ID. As no switch has actually taken place it manifests as (Unknown).  The app then creates a new main folder at syncs down the data.
    Essentially what you end up with is a Creative Cloud Files folder with your newly sync'd data and a Creative Cloud Files (Unknown) folder that contains duplicate data.
    This occurs once, after the last update completes.
    The fix is to simply delete the Creative Cloud Files (Unknown) folder.
    I would advise that you ensure you have no pending edits that you may have made offline and that you check the contents of the new, main Creative Cloud Files folder contains everything you expect it to.  If not, check the contents of the Creative Cloud Files (Unknown) folder.
    If there is still a discrepancy with your data, you can check on creative.adobe.com to confirm your data is there.

    I need to speak to a real customer service support person in the United States to cancel cloud. I'm only getting a center in India. Can someone help?

    Followed up with MsSuter via private message in the forum and customer was able to cancel account using normal customer support service.

  • Can you download CS5 'after' you download Cloud?

    I was wondering if it is possible to buy adobe Cloud, purely to use for a few days until I get the open case for reinstalling my CS5 sorted THEN I can cancel Cloud (due to 30 day money back trial) and carry on with my CS5, which I WILL be able to sort, just not in the next few days.
    Would this be possible, or once I've downloaded Cloud will I not be able to use an older version?

  • How to cancel Photoshop monthly payments

    I want to cancel my payments and I have no idea how. It said I can cancel at any time but it didn't say, 1) How or 2) Where to go to cancel it. I've looked on the forums and I either can't find anything to actually help, or whatever it says I can't find/don't have it. I want to cancel it right away and for some reason there is no simple Photoshop -> Cancel Payments -> Done. It's on Creative Cloud and I don't pay for it so the forums are no help because they all say 'Cancel Cloud' but there is no way to do it. I want it cancelled straight away because I'm sure I'll be charged in a few days.

  • Output Module fail.. failure to compile

    What is the fix for this bug?
    I've tried mulitple versions of AE(cc, cs6), multiple versions of the source footage, updated AE, updated Qt and still I get an error. I just don't get it and its annoying possibly grounds for canceling cloud. I need my tools to work effeciently at home.

    "Failure to compile movie" indicates problems with your disk setup where AE loses connection to the rendered chunks as it tuggs along. That's probably the simple reason why it doesn't work in any version of AE on your system. Or in simple words: Something is wrong on your system, not AE.

  • ICal glitches

    Ever since the institution of iCloud, my iCalendar is completely messed up all the time! I'm getting really frustrated! I've just cancelled Cloud syncing on everything, and iCal is still not right.  I've installed all updates for Lion and rebooted. 
    Does anyone know if there are bug fixes specific to iCal, or whether these are known troubles!?

    Today, some things are working a little better, just barely. The main issue is still there though. I'll be doing my best to explain, and I don't know much terminology, so bear with me. Thanks for replying so promptly to my question
    I took your advice on the regular events that would allow me to edit them, limiting it to end in a week. But the particular event, which repeats everyday, won't let me adjust it. When I right click on it, the options come up, but the "get info" option and others are grey so that I cannot click on it or access it to change it. And when I click on it, it remains "highlighted" and basically frozen so that I have to scroll to a different day or force quit or something. It lets me move the time/day of the event by dragging it. Even then, strange things happen, such as when I double click on it, the option to click "edit" or "done" comes up for a different event. All events only appear one calendar at a time, and only when viewing individual days.

    Guys, here is what I encountered, and I tried to find the right section to post this, but I find here may be more benefits to all reader.....
    while I surf on internet, a impersonated pop-up looks exactly like Windows asking me a unknown source trying to get in, asking me for permission, when I clicked "cancel", that's all nightmare began....
    they by-passed my McAfee security suite & "trojan" my Windows "firewall" , Windows defender and Windows security center ( see your control panel), they impersonated that they are Microsoft Window by calling themselves Vista total security, when you clicked the above 3 in the control panel, they pops-up and looked exactly just like it, they started to run scan & keep telling me my computer is affected ( of course, by them! ) then they ask me to activiate the Vista security system, they hi-jacked my I/E and firefox, only taking me to their website and require a fee,.....
    I took the photos on screen and now you all can see it....

    The fact that they trojan the control panel, people would believe they are for real as they click the Windows firewall/ defender and security center, ....
    At the end, I went ahead and bet on the Windows Restore, and it works! the restore kicked them out and everything back to normal,....
    I hope you guys can let the guys at firefox browser dept. know about this,....because those guys are damn good !
